Re: Random: God Of War Artist Shows Us How The Battletoads Reboot Should Have Looked

@YANDMAN

Yeah, I could definitely see what you're saying. I honestly wish they would just stop jocking these guys renditions of other people's properties. Does it look cool, sure. However, like you were alluding to, it definitely just looks like the people that did the last Ninja Turtles did this mock-up. Pretty much giving it no personallity of its own & rendering it fairly generic.

Oh trust me, I've been doing that. Most recent examples with all the knob washing over endgame. It's a good movie, but I feel nowhere near worthy of the hype level that has been bestowed upon it by some of these critics & (especially) the overzealous fanboys. I swear that if it wasn't associated with marvel/disney & had been its own movie or connected to another comic book house and / or studios it wouldn't be getting nowhere near this fellated.

In any case, I'm actually looking forward to this movie. It looks pretty fun and looks like if there's actually some respect going on for the source material. I may actually check it out next week. Definitely have to do so before Godzilla: King Of The Monsters comes out.

Re: Sega's Yakuza Games Are Not In Consideration For The Switch Right Now

gameboy1975

@diwdiws

They also commented on what they wanted & DID care about. So while they don't care about yakuza, they care about other properties from sega. It is possible to NOT care & be able to comment. As it wasn't just the annoying I don't are on it's own. Heck, I don't care about yakuza either. Never did actually. So don't care if it EVER hit the Switch or ANY other platform again, but that doesn't stop me or others from expressing what we might want from them though (like maybe a new Panzeer Dragoon or maybe even Space Harrier).

gameboy1975

@Spoony_Tech

Well you are trying to tell someone else how to spend THEIR money & what they should find worth their cash/attention. So it seems kinda ironic that you say what you say & then make such comments. Like that or any person needs to justify how they spend their money to you or anyone else. I am all for free speech et cetera, but it's not your place to belittle people's choices & dictate to them if something is worth buying, how & where they should work out/spend THEIR money & what YOU may deem a waste of time when they're not asking ya. Not for you, cool. However, if they aren't asking for your opinion, you have no real right to crap on how or why they do them. That's why it's great that we have freedom to select the options that's best for us.

Yeah, a bit steep for me myself atm. Though at the end of the dat it IS only 40 dollars. And hell, I pretty much blew through that at just the ONE bar I stopped @ last night buying myself & a few buds just ONE round last night. And that only lasted for about 3 hours or so before I started whizzing it out & away. So if I can actually get some real use out of it, it's not the worst. However, a 20 dollar or so tag would probably be a lot closer to an insta-buy.

Re: Review: Fitness Boxing - Rhythm Trappings Help This Limber Wii Fit Successor Land Its Punches

gameboy1975

@SonicMos

That's not how the world & this stuff works though. What someone else does doesn't (and shouldn't) dictate what others decide to do with their work. I mean a game like god of war I could've probably beaten in a weekend if I kept going on @ the clip that I was . Where as games like Warframe, Fortnite, Arena Of Valor & such are free & give countless hours of entertainment.

So should they be 60 dollars (or more realistically given how much bang for NO buck that you get) & a game like god of war like 12 to 15 (given that it could be beaten for the price of renting by a semi compotent gamer)?

And here comes that girl/guy with the predictable statements that clearly seem to be ASSuming that the bulk of users here are frothing, mindless zealots. Trying to put words in people's mouths & going on to make dumber statements that seem just as if not more so as irrational & out of touch than the people that they're trying to call out. Quite funny & ironic that it seems that you"re one of the 1st ( & maybe only ones that I've seen thus far) going on like so. Lol Yeah, go sit down sonewhere nah-stradumbus & stop trying to derail things. Where's the mute button on this thing? Lol

@JayJ

Oh, I never said that some of these games out here aren't for kids. I'm talking about the overall hobby itself though mi amigo. I mean in all honestly we had games with lewd and crude elements since the beginning of console gaming & perhaps sooner. There were games on the turbografx16 that had profanity & ones on Atari that were AO & full on about sex man. Well before this industry supposedly "grew up" & stuff like GTA had people clutching their pearls. This medium has always had mature and risque content, it just became easier to make out the pixels and relate.

Re: People Are Review-Bombing Pokémon: Let's Go Across Major Sites, Amazon Japan Blocks User Scores

gameboy1975

@Crono1973

Well I wouldn't say that, as you could just have access to it (maybe at someone's else house or whatever) and get an opinion. It's not fair to say that just because you haven't shelled out the money or on it personally that you can't have an opinion on it. However, I DO feel like you have to put in the time to actually be able to form an opinion that could be taken into consideration and perhaps respected.

Lol GTFO here dude. What the hell are you do you think that you're doing? You were surely quick as hell to come in here with all of your writing & in full on defense mode. So uhhh, why aren't you somewhere helping to solve these problems in the world you speak of or at least elsewher discussing these more important issues somewhere? You know instead of being here just like everyone else while pretending & perhaps convince yourself that you're somehow better? Yeah, let's get dat @$$ off of that high horse kiddo before you fall off into your own bs and hurt yourself.

Re: People Are Review-Bombing Pokémon: Let's Go Across Major Sites, Amazon Japan Blocks User Scores

gameboy1975

@JayJ

I hear you man. I agree with this & some of what you said in a previous post. However we are actual adults it seems. Where a lot of these so called "mature gamers" (both of which are doubtful) these days seem more like overgrown 6 year olds. As a lot of these guys try to justify their participation in a child's Hobby and playing with toys by throwing out terms like mature, kiddy, and everything else.

When in all actuality, we are grown @$$ men and women being this heavily involved in a kids hobby. So we need to just suck it up and enjoy ourselves or STFU & go do something serious somewhere else since we insist on trying to act like we're so serious & above participating in a child's pass time. Get the hell over yourselves, out of your mom's basement & get a girlfriend/boyfriend or something.

Re: People Are Review-Bombing Pokémon: Let's Go Across Major Sites, Amazon Japan Blocks User Scores

gameboy1975

@bolt05

Not even close man. A 0 review would indicate that it is an absolutely broken, uncontrollable, buggy, unfinished mess of a game or something. Basically something that you would not even be getting a license to be put on anyone's system. There is absolutely no reason for a zero score unless it's absolutely broken illegal software that could potentially break your system or some crap dude. I was trying not to agree with a lot of gaming media and journalists, but game as a becoming way too entitled for real. And why even early on I never wanted it to became so mainstream as I saw this kind of stupidity coming.

That is like me giving the last god of war 0 for how abundantly meh Iit was after all the overhype I received on how great it supposedly was, spiderman for being a bit of the same & nothing special as well for all that a lot of fanboys gave me or forza because I am not that into regular car racers. However, I can see that they're well me games and certainly would be lying to myself & others if I said they deserve zeros.

Re: People Are Review-Bombing Pokémon: Let's Go Across Major Sites, Amazon Japan Blocks User Scores

gameboy1975

@Kevember

Who's forcing you to buy anything though man? I've not heard of even one incident of where Reggie or a hit squad sent from the higher ups @ Gamefreak were going around & putting guns to folks heads or abducting loved ones or some $#!t to get folks to but ANY of their products. You can do what tons of other normal people do & just keep your money in your damn pocket if the product in question doesn't meet your requirements or standards. All of this excessive whining, hyperbolic anger & disappointment along with the stench of entitlement is pretty pathetic though.

You control your own destiny as far as your spending habits habits go. So you have no one to blame but yourself if you're spending the money on items that you deem so unworthy or whatever. As a consumer myself trust me when I tell you that it IS possible to control spending impulses & keep your money in your pocket. And that's coming to you from a guy who has a virtually unclear-able backlog because he at times is frivolous with cash (amassing said backlog and other things).

@roboshort

While I won't go with cringeworthy yet, what's been going on so far is certainly not that amazing. Though to be fair, I am not one to go into my games really that worried about story. If I want story I can always watch a movie or read a damn book. Just give me great controls and gameplay and then we can work from there. However, if you're going to make a big deal about story, is definitely going to have to be quite a bit better than what I've experienced in god of war so far

I absolutely loved it personally. And it was one of my favorite games of this gen. Certainly wasn't perfect, but was a game that oozed style, had it's own quirks & charms while also offering a good bit of challenge. Especially when trying to get arcade style higher rankings with your fighting prowess.

I hear ya man. My lady friend just be shaking her head & laughing at some of the drama & such coming from some folks when she sees me on these sites. And I can only chuckle and not even get mad when she brings up the very valid point that you guys (as in a lot of us in the gaming community in general) are all a bunch of freaking grown @$s men and women carrying on like this over toys lol.

Something I say constantly myself when I hear people acting like they're too mature for one game/console another, or are still beefing over someone's choice of console or graphics or what the hell ever. We're all grown men and women STILL PLAYING WITH TOYS! I can't wait until we can hopefully get back to a time when we're just enjoying ourselves instead of trying to make yourself feel better about playing with them & acting like snobs over a child's past time. Forgive me for the tangent, but it was definitely right on time personally.

Re: Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aimé On Why The Switch Uses A Mobile App For Voice Chat

gameboy1975

@JDORS

They might be weird, and Reggie might be full of crap right now spouting this nonsense, but they are far from lazy. Lazy would be something like just getting another machine and throwing more powerful specs in it and calling it a day.

They just go to the beat of their own drum. Sometimes producing awesome things, but sometimes like this for instance, it's for the worst and has Reggie up here trying to explain why we got this crappy app for voice chat.

Re: Subdivision Infinity DX Is A 3D "Next-Gen" Sci-Fi Space Shooter Headed To Nintendo Switch

gameboy1975

@Shiryu

I know right. It's refreshing to see a bit of a Resurgence with these kind of games. Especially with so many games he's days wanting to be pseudo movies that try to take you on an "emotional journey" with predictable/cliche plots & c + movie level dialogue to boot, first person shooters, battle royales & such.

So I may support all of them most likely. I have Manticore which is pretty okay, Everspace looks pretty damn good, and this doesn't look shabby at all itself either. Going to have to keep an eye out for more info on this one.

Re: It Sucks To Say It, But Castlevania Requiem Isn't Coming To Switch

gameboy1975

@Razer

You did all that just to generalize, make assumptions & lump everybody together & say much of nothing. So maybe YOU are the one that's blind & perhaps has failures in understanding bruh. As it seems that you're talking about the horse's arse & I'm talking about the horse's face. I merely brought up the fact that your example is poor comparing Platinum Games (who have to seek out publishing & work on licensed garbage at times just to keep the lights on) to a company like Konami that develops & self-publishers their own games. And have been doing so since I can pretty much remember them existing.

All while yourself & others are repeatedly making a worn out apples to oranges comparison about Nintendo funding Bayonetta 2 & sony funding these two titles. We know Konami can & has done what Platinum as of yet cannot. That's not speculation, but FACTS, period! It's like comparing my spending capacity to Mark Zuckerberg's for a night out on the town & then wondering why I might not be able to hang out all night. That was it & that was all. All that other spiel you were vomiting had s#!it to do what I was talking about with you.

And considering that I already mentioned well before I commented to you I believe (and for damn sure before you responded to me) that nobody should have a problem with Konami taking what is basically free money, all of that jibba jabba, thinly veiled ASSumptions, alluding to fanboy musings & being upset because it's not coming to Nintendo switch is quite frankly stupid looking. As like I said before you went ASSuming & tried to type cast me, attempt to talk down snarkily & lump me in with others, I never went out of my way to play these games in the 1st place.

Hell, point to me where I even hinted at the fact that I would buy it even if it hit the Switch. Oooo ooo, maybe you can find where I disputed that Konami are bs'ing & that they were ever going to do anything with these two games besides let them languish until sony money hatted this? Or where I was outraged & shown to really GAF about it all either way. Yeah, betcha you can't. In any case, we seem to be done here my friend.

Re: It Sucks To Say It, But Castlevania Requiem Isn't Coming To Switch

gameboy1975

@Razer

Nah fam, I have to disagree with you on that. Porting some old a$$ games that have been on the Saturn, Wii VC & many other places as opposed to funding a multimillion-dollar one like Bayonetta2 is NOT the same thing. Like I said to some idiot earlier, Platinum NEEDS funding & publishing a lot of times. Konami on the other hand hasn't had that problem since I can remember them. They develop AND publish their own games. Where as Platinum are at the mercy of other publishers and have to make games like the Legend of Korra and licensed games to make ends meet & fund other projects that they wish to make.

Since everyone wants to beat this one tired & cliched example of Bayonetta to death, let's talk about the fact that Sega (IIRC) had to be involved in some capacity with Bayonetta, Platinum and Nintendo. When was the last time you heard that problem with Konami? Hell, can you give me one example of them having to go through that problem with their own IP as Platinum has had to? There's certainly better examples out there, but this one is poor my dude.

And for the record, I definitely respect a lot of your post even if I don't agree with all of them. I just didn't want you to think I was calling you an idiot because I had to talk to some other idiot earlier that I immediately blocked.

115MrBlackyYesterday, 9:35am
Wow, Konami needs help for porting over 10 year old 2D games! 😲

It's a rough market out there man lol.

Re: It Sucks To Say It, But Castlevania Requiem Isn't Coming To Switch

gameboy1975

@HobbitGamer

Yeah lmao, you would have to try harder to NOT see their bs in all honesty. Still, it is amusing seeing it on full display where even the most obtuse of folks cannot deny their horseshat.

In any case, I don't really care that much either way, but it has been good for conversation and entertainment while at work. In all honesty though, it seemed more like the sony fanboys were the ones making a bigger deal out of it more than anyone else. Just so they could then turn around & say that all the "others" are so upset & going on about it like mad.

Like I said, I literally had to Google it to see what the hell everyone was talking about. And I legitimately thought the Requiem thing was a new castlevania that people were getting angry about, which I could at least understand a bit more. However, I didn't know it was just the two old games being remastered. In a nutshell, I hadn't even heard that much caring about this (or mentioning of it at all even) before it was announced that it was paid for by sony.

I don't see why there would be this much fervor over this anyway. We've had years to play these games & no shortage of ways to do so. Hell, you can still even do it now without ever touching the ps4 (or in some cases a sony product) at all. So if you really didn't care that much then, don't let these guys fabricate a lot of faux outrage for you now. And of course, there's definitely going to be people upset over this. Hell, there's people upset that Nintendo is still in business for God's sake. Again though, it seems the people making the biggest deal out of this are some of these sony fanboys.

Re: It Sucks To Say It, But Castlevania Requiem Isn't Coming To Switch

gameboy1975

@Hikaru

Yeah, and I am okay with that. However, any PR spin to act like it oh my God I wouldn't have ever been able to be done without their help is straight-up bull$#**. Who could be mad at them for just being straight up and saying hey, these guys want to pay for it getting done, so we'll take the free money. Anything else though is bs.

Edit: Lol I just saw that you had actually replied to me after I commented on your post. Like I said, that's totally reasonable and will be certainly understandable. Should be to even the most die-hard loyalist or angered fans.
