Hmmm, solid, informative & in depth review it seems. I've been curious & glanced in the game's general direction before, but I might actually buy this one fairly soon. May try to clear some backlog as I give it some space for a potential sale in the possible nearby future before hopping on, but not gonna lie the curiosity that was already previously piqued is heating up. Seems like a great & natural addition to have with me in motion.

Well considering that there's not been one Paper Mario that's dipped close to a 50 or even 60 overall when looking at any aggregates, it's certainly not just Famitsu that have been favorable towards the game or serious.. At the end of the day, they're only one of many that have helped those games score fairly well in the long run to be fair.

Yeah, after reading a few of these comments now, I don't think too many people are hung up on that. Most honestly don't seem to care. Anecdotally even outside oh here, most people I know big into MH seemed to like the older games quite a bit more. They certainly applaud the graphics of MHW, but seem to enjoy & spend more time on the older titles more. It's certainly not that big a deal to most it seems lol.

Yeeeeah, they might've missed the boat on that one. Should've just not been dumb & announced & released it with the other versions. I remember having my interest fairly piqued when they first announced it, but seemed like a game that I"d rather have had on the Switch. So when there was no announcement I thought to myself maybe later I'd get it for one of my other systems, but I kind of just forgot about it. Well, they played themselves out of 60 or more of my dollars and I'm glad they did. Since it was almost assuredly an Impulse instabuy and possible day one for me on the Switch.

Now though they've given me (and I'm sure many others) a LOT of time to see just how absolutely mediocre it was. Had they released the game day and date (or heck even a month or so later) I'm pretty sure they would have gotten a lot more Switch owners like myself to bite. So any missed money are on them as again, that missed boat might have been missed.

Nothing to do with it at all as this is hardly new for Mario Kart. Besides, let's be honest here, even many of the most hyped games like god of war or RE have come out & may chart for a couple weeks, but then take a significant dip. Or, they're gone out of the top 10 altogether. Yet this game has been out pretty much since last gen & is STILL able to take the top tier spot(s). Something that it's done before well into those other systems primes.

Outside of maybe gta, there's not too many games that can say that. So what you're saying makes a lot of those games seem a lot less interesting when a game that came out pretty much on the Wii U keeps coming around and lapping these other games for YEARS now. Constantly knocking or keeping them out of top slot contention.

I don't want to believe that they're that boring, uninteresting or not engaging at all, so the alternative is just to give Mario Kart it's credit where it's credit is due

The part that I don't understand about these hypocrites & mental midgets is that they conveniently never have the same fervor when it others. You didn't & don't see them on sister sites complaining about tlou remastered, resogun remastered, seeing shadow of the colossus remakes or others. Also they don't seem to realize that if it's not exclusive that it's a port for whatever system it's on. Their selective whining is what is most annoying about some of these foos!

Maybe it's a game where they envision/need/want cross-play & sony is being stubborn on it like they have been with some titles before? It's all speculative anyway though.

I really don't give a s#!t about themes, as that aspect is pretty asinine and meh to me personally. I just see it as something that people want just because others did it & for some reason wanted/expected.. It's adds nothing at all to a gaming experience though. Hell, I still have Ryse on my screen from like 4-5 years. Yaaaay! Lol

However, folders would definitely be nice so that I don't have to sort through so many games & can just have them in designated spots for much easier access. And it is something that will actually be beneficial to my gaming experience to boot. So, they can take their time with themes all they want (or even keep ignoring them) for all I care. Put folders first though Nintendo if any of that is on the table.

Now see, definitely agree with you here with some things; because you will see the media, fanboys,and people that are crucifying this game for frames per second. Yet, let it be a game that these folks want to slobber over & these same dips in performance that they feel are unacceptable & should knock like 3 to 4 points off a game's score are totally forgiven or even ignored. Games like tlou, gow & even Fortnite come to mind.

Yeah, I loved the game on the Wii U. Was EASILY one of my favorite games during that time on gaming history. However, it seems like they decided to maybe go ahead and try to appease people on other platforms more & forget about (or just said to hell with) the people that kept the game in cult status. Which helped it get another chance @ life (even though it wasn't the greatest seller) in the first place. Yet the Switch version's apparently running worse than it did all those years ago after all. Nice lol

That's not even mentioning the quality of life things pointed out that they could have fixed, but chose to just ignore such as the camera etc.. And since my ps4 rarely gets turned on, they missed a chance to get an EASY double dip from me. The way they crapped the bed with this, I will just dig out the Wii U when I want to play it & save my cash. That or just wait until it's criminally discounted to cop it.

You are absolutely right, which is why I didn't condemn or even remotely say all women. It's just crazy the double standards. While what he/she tweeted was cringey IMO, the fact that people (especially men) always have to apologize even though women can make sexually charged or suggestive comment, jokes about men's genitalia, weight or whatever without doing it nearly as much is a BS double standard.

I've literally watched women ogling & making very obvious passes & sexually charged comments towards guys like Dwayne Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Idris Elba et cetera. Even though these guys are married, in relationships, not asking for that kind of attention or whatever. Yet nobody bats an eye, clutches their pearls or apologies sought after.

Yet some guy says a woman is pretty, hot or admires her looks, he's objectifying/traumatizing her & pearls are clutched. And he might get his arse "cancelled". Hell, even when she isn't that offended, someone else picks it up. All I'm saying is let's keep it fair & thorough. If it's not acceptable, it goes for both sides. We can't pick & choose when the ogling, outrage & such is deemed acceptable.

Maybe they're just looking at personal satisfaction? Ot perhaps he/she looked at it from a financial standpoint. Who knows for sure, but there is more than one way to have success. As that goes they made a ton of money on software a profit on the hardware as well. And ask any company out there and they'll tell you that's what it's all about. And it's omething that they've been able to consistently do even if they don't sell a bajillion units. Which is why they've get to have to worry about TV, movies and other non-gaming divisions or things to prop them up.

Well, I'm cettaienly not disputing that you or anyone else may have had issues with a man made product. As I'm confident that the possibility is there. Just saying that my anecdotal evidence & personal experience with said controllers between myself & others greatly differs from you two considering that none of us seem to have or have had such problems.

And also reiterating that what you folks are talking about can be said about ANY company & their controllers. like I said I had problems with my Xbox1Xpad right out of the box. Not to mention original Xbox controller that I sync to play my system with while the other was gone had a left bumper that broke off. Which I taped back on & it worked for quite a while before taking a deep dive.

And again, my sony controllers have seemed to be the most unreliable out of the bunch. Even though they often get the least amount of use. And heck, while I think that they've been mostly garbage petsonally, I have yet to go through 6 of them for one console. Yet there have been reports of people doing just that. Doesn't make it the status quo though. Maybe you guys just have or had a spate of bad luck my friend?

You can say that about any controller breh. My Xbox & ps systems have both had issues. My XB1X came with a crap pad out the box where it seemed like the stick was hard pushing to the left or something. SoI just synced my OG XB1 pad & used that. They supposedly fixed it, sent it back, and then shortly after it was drifting. The crazy part was that I barely used it because of the old pad I already had n use. Even now it is out of commission. So I just went out & brought a new one from Walmart because I didn't wanna wait. Pllus it's out of warranty & they wanna charge which is BS.

And good lord the issues I've had with sony's controllers. From a sticky L2 button & having to replace one simply because of s*** battery to sticks wearing down fairly quickly even though they don't get close to the use of my other controllers. Not to mention that while more comfortable than their prior pads they still feel kind of cheap & are creaky. Such is life in gaming I guess.

Not delusional at all homie. All four of mine still work just fine after all these years. We played a ton of matches of WCW vs N.W.O.,& No Mercy along with some StarFox64 dogfights about 3 weeks ago. Not to mention that there's 2 bars that we hit (well did before you know who 19) that have game nights doing the week with fully working N64 consoles & controllers. So yeah man, hardly delusional.

I cannot agree with you there my friend. I actually believe that the ps4 controller the best & most comfortable one they have made thus far. Sure, that's not saying much as I still think they make some of the most mediocore controllers out there, but at least I could stand holding & playing games on that pad without constantly thinking about how sh**ty it was.

Also, If I wanted to talk about sony or their controller, I could just go to one of the many sites that specialize in that thing. It's kind of annoying I'll always have to see them shoe horn sony or others onto this site somehow, yet whenever I actually went to their playstation affiliate, I'd hardly (if ever) see the reverse. At least when I've been on there. I hardly even come here anymore due to things like that & some of their more lackluster articles; and yet, on one of the few days I choose to, here we are yet again with something sony in their mouth. lol
