Lol the irony is that you are quite high on hyperbole and seem to have built your own straw man to argue against yourself. As in real time I've seen only ONE comment thus far even close to what you're claiming. Quite the far cry from consistently half the comments my friend
That's a much better description of it after all anyway. Even they would tell you that. I don't know why everybody always think that just because there is first person view and that there is indeed a shooting that all swing has to be classified as a first person shooter. Way more of an adventure game than a shooter any day of the week.
Is it really though? As I peruse & partake in all types of video game related media & events: and the only real "negativity" I've really seen over it is from a few impatient & vocal folks like those here & in other select comment sections. Heck, I hob knob with guys who run sites & rub elbows with legit industry insiders & they aren't as up in arms as folks here. Umm, yay? π€·ββοΈ Cool story bro, but most probably don't (or should) care what you think. How about you do you and let them do them? Not going to lie, I'm not seeing a lot of what you're talkin about. Honestly just sounds like a lot of hyperbole and you perhaps making a big mountain out of a molehill. I no quite a people personally who absolutely loved their Switch & have put that money down for a theme deck or at least curious about it. And I'm sure there's some overly fanatical fans/fool's out there who are doing a bit much, but what I was saying in the real world and hang around a lot of gamers out there oh, it's not nearly been even close enough of an issue to make a deal about.
Maybe they just had more fun & found it more unique than those games? That's certainly what did it for me. I played all three and Hades was easily the most fun for me out of the three. To be fair ghosts was more fun than tlou2 (which I found to be a slog trying to get through), but Hades trumped both for me. Definitely felt like they were pretty overrated.
.
In any case, that's great to hear about Hades. It deserves every accolade that it receives, hands down. One of the most addicting and fun games that I have played in quite a while. And I hope that it keeps getting the recognition and love that it deserves.
Oh man, you're going back and forth with that one? Oof, You're better off arguing with the angry & drunk, urine soaked hobo off of his meds yelling at the buses that go by. It's going to make about as much sense as going back & forth with them as that. And the hobo might actually turn out to be quite a bit more reasonable.
In that dudes case though it's usually anybody that dares to be a Nintendo fan & not finding something to criticize or flat-out dump on them for whatever reason @ every breath/moment/chance/ they get lol. Did you get called an obligatory name or labeled yet? Definitely don't miss that π€‘'s schtick & show LOL
Yeah, not buying that one my dude. Especially when you can look at games like Bayonetta 2 that ran darn well on the Wii U & seen Panic Button's work already. Just laziness, pure & damn simple.
Nah, I can't agree with you on that one. As I have definitely watched quite a few of SwitchUp videos. And one thing he doesn't do is sugarcoat a lot of issue issues with games on the Switch. If anything he is realistic with expectations and generally calls it as it is and he sees it. I've watched him literally call out or nitpick things in games that are actually developed by the people sponsoring his videos.
Too be fair the dude from SwitchUp (awesome channel btw) said some of the same things as far as the technical issues. And he's definitely a reasonable & fair reviewer IMO.
For real though. And while I am a bit bummed that I cancelled ny Series X preorder given the situation, I don't feel like I'm missing out on much of anything at all. Cane to that conclusion after a little hands on with the heavily overhyped returnal. I
I'm not worried about any of the "woke" stuff. I'm just done with their systems in general and don't want to have to potentially buy another one of their boxes to play SquareEnix games. At that point, they will definitely not be getting any more money for me.
Microsoft and Sony sure, but I don't think Nintendo really cares to compete with any of them. They do what they always do and that's just for better or worse doing them. To be fair with the way Microsoft has done things for a while, they seem to not care too much about any of that too much either as they seem to just want to get you to play their games wherever they can get you to play them regardless of ecosystem.
Ironically they might even be the most cooperative out of the three despite the reputation that many tried to label them with as being the great evil coming in to pillage the industry, buy up everything and take everyone's lunch money. Sure, they all technically competing as they all want your dollar regardless, but if anything it seems like sony's the only one out of the three out there trying to compete with everyone.the most.
Yeah nah bro. It is what it is at this point. That might have been the cool thing to say before when people were down playing the success years ago but there's no way on God's green earth that even if we subscribe to some idiotic false shortage Theory before that they would be doing it like, four years in? You gain nothing call doing that. As people can always take their money somewhere else and there's always a competing product fighting for their dollars. And where's the logic in this false shortage conspiracy theory when people already perhaps more reluctant to be parting with their money as easily these days? Especially with the loss of jobs and wages and having to think about more important things than video games and entertainment like putting food on the table, feeding your kid, keeping lights on in the house et cetera.
Even if I play Devil's Advocate it said okay that might have been a thing in the beginning, did not want to continue doing it darn near 4 years later or whatever bruh. You're begging to lose money. And while peeps sitting on their duff hanging on message boards can have all the crazy conspiracy theories and whatever they want, Nintendo as a business have to deal with shareholders and all of those other aspects of business in the real world, nuff said.
Well to be fair, demanding higher specs doesn't make them hard core game is at all. There are people that I see playing solely on a Nintendo Switch that have a much larger libraries with a wider pallet of gaming, games completed or in rotation under there belt than most of these wannabe "hardcore gamers" couldn't even hope to achieve. Their little obsession with power and specs hardly makes some of these people hardcore gamers.
True hardcore, real gamers just play the games regardless. They are the ones that help keep retro themed games and a wannabe photorealistic world of gaming. Make Shovel Knight a success and all that kind of stuff. Not saying that they don't love the glitz and graphics and all of that, but the game itself comes first for them always. I get what you're saying, but let's not sell the true hardcore Gamers short LOL.
Facts. I was wondering how long it was was going to be before someone came in with such out of crap and nonsense. To be fair though, I'm glad to see it. As you know something must be going over pretty well when someone rushes in the spew such garbage.
Well to be fair the ps2 also was everybody's go to cheap DVD player. Not to mention the repurchases from the disc read errors, chewed up disk and everything else. People always gave the 360 grief but gave the faulty ps ones & twos a pass
Yeah well, I don't think it has anything to do with them. The GameCube was an absolute Beast as well. Pound-for-pound was one of the better machines on the market for sure. The Xbox is had better shaders, but it threw up way more polygons with something like that when reading the comparisons. You can't always account for trending taste and fickle gamers all the time
Maybe because they know that there are tried & true GAMERS out there who actually gasp play games just to have fun and don't really care about all that ish. There's people who own high-end rigs that don't mind playing on the Switch. And I know this for a fact that I have several buddies in one of our WhatsApp groups that has a PC that would absolutely smok mini of the rigs that a good majority play on on who decided to get Witcher 3 on the Switch solely because he could put more time into it. The Switch is one of the other dude's favorite console even though he's a huge PC gamer & tech head who I would put up against anybody here in a technical debate.
It's called having options & millions of people love them. Which last I checked was never looked at as a bad thing. What's TRULY hard to understand is why folks like yourself are so worried about someone else's business? Who said they're trying to justify anything? If anything it's the other way around like you want them to justify what they're doing. They're minding their business actually enjoying the hobby the way that they see fit. Yet you're the one clutching your pearls worrying about what they're doing with their money, time and gaming decisions.
I've read the comments & not person here is asking for your opinion or "pity". So there are people legitimately okay with playing Apex Legends on their Switch. I mean if you're reeeally concerned, you could always start buying their consoles & games for them. That way you'll have a legitimate reason to worry about what they're doing as you're paying for it & your skin is paying for their gang. Something's telling me that's not going to happen though LOL
Actually they weren't. As they had quite powerful consoles on the market for their times like the Snes, N64 & GC after all. I just think that they said eff it when they were pushing out strong consoles & watching people flock to vastly inferior consoles like the ps1 & 2. And sure, I would never argue against more powerful hardware, but hell I can't really blame them.
Yeah, I can dig it. You're not the first person that I've heard had that sentiment. I certainly thought that it was kind of underhanded the way that they did it before it. Just having to blurred out that it wouldn't be completely exclusive before it even had a chance to shine on the Switch. As they certainly would never pull that kind of $#!t with a certain other company. Yet they have no problems taking a whiz of Nintendo or their fanbase.
I'm not doing all of that, but it is a free country after all. And if you decided to cancel pre-order, then that's on them. As it was certainly a rather weird or even poor choice of timing on their end. And something that you would never see them do to a certain other company. And honestly, I do know a couple people that were never huge day one Monster Hunter Fans that seemed to only be pre-ordering or buying this game day one because they are/were supporting capcom finally putting some real effort into the Switch as they do everyone else's. As I tried to get them into other monster hunter games once it clicked with me and they never really felt it.
I have no problem with what capcom are doing, but if I'm a Nintendo fan, Nintendo only gamer or even just someone giving you my hard-earned money day one because I see you taking the system I prefer playing seriously then yeah I can maybe understand canceling the pre-order a bit. I mean why make you a priority when you aren't ever willing to ever make me one is how might feel? Especially when I can just wait down the line and buy your game when it's on sale or something and give that money to a hungry Dev that doesn't seem to take me for granted.
And with games selling better, huge installed base and more, there's less excuses this time around then previous ones to do some of the things that some of these companies do. Like I said I said I won't cancel my pre-order, but anybody having a problem with it or wants to criticize your logic maybe needs to buy your games. Just because I don't want to agree with it doesn't mean I can't understand.
LOL, that's funny you say that as a buddy of mine was literally just saying the same thing. Funny how on their knees & up sony's chute they constantly seem to be.
Not going to lie, my buddy said the same thing. He said they only seem to do this kind of $#!t when it comes to Nintendo. As you'll hardly ever see them kneecapping certain other companies like that.
Not for nothing, but why does it really matter where they come from just so long as they are securing titles? And this isn't really directed towards you, but since it's something that I've seen a few times before it gives me a chance to address it. The funny thing is nobody ever really asks the same of the other companies. If sony,MS or anyone else had has some outside company delivers a game on their platform people don't seem to care where it came from, how it got there or have that sentiment.
Look at when people wanna praise VR where sony's doing virtually none of the heavy lifting. Or when everyone was giving them a lap dance for the first spiderman game or bloodbourne. Up until the latter part of last generation all they did was coast off of others until they finally got in house exclusives that some deemed worth talking about.
And while MS have done some things recently to bolster their first-party and in house output, they very much have had that benefit from others as well. And hey, no problem as long as we get the games I think, but it's crazy that this is often something that's held over Nintendo so much more so than others.
I have played a good bit in VR & eh; it's a cool feature, but not nearly all of what you're making it out to be. The bit more immersion is certainly cool, but it comes at a price as it doesn't look nearly as good and some thing's can be a bit cumbersome. Outside of the jump-scares and such being a lot more intense, that's really about it that I would give it over just playing it on my big TV with the sound kicking.
Man, did you get as upset or cry this darn much when white people were getting top billing & taking all the roles from minorities for decades now? I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that you weren't bruv. Just goes to show you how entitled some of us are. Look at how fragile you are over this. The couple of times it happens to us he's breaking down and acting like we're facing extinction on film. I bet you didn't have that same energy when minorities we're getting crapped all over having their roles taken, getting bit parts or always portrayed negatively. You want to talk unfair and double standards though, let's talk
Are you this animated and angry when in the real world we're getting coddled & having the audacity to demand organic foods after a bunch of traitorous dirtbags stormed a capital to try and overturn a free and fair election just because we didn't get our way? Or when a little extra chromosome piece of trailer park trash like Kyle Rittenhouse is getting bottled waters to quench his thirst after heat actually kill two people? Let's not forget actually even getting a bail AND having it paid for him as he's held up as a hero in white supremacist trash and some conservative circles.
Able to get away with crap like that while you'll see a minority arrested with no chance at bail or even doing time for something like having too much marijuana on their person or minor first offenses like shoplifting or something Or even worse murdered in their own home while eating ice cream on a couch or while sleeping in their bed. Yet you are in here throwing hissy-fits about fictional characters after all of the roles that have been gifted. Cry a fricking river bro.

@locky-mavo
LOL, that's funny you say that as a buddy of mine was literally just saying the same thing. Funny how on their knees & up sony's chute they constantly seem to be.

@Itachi2099

Ummm, let's not forget or act like that or isn't an Xbox series X or PC out there now.

Exactly & preach on my friend. That's how you drop the hammer on such a silly and ignorant argument. That's a wrap folks.
