Yeah, while that would be great to have this is all kinds of unrealistic.They've changed mediums, architectures & more over the years. You can't even get sony to give people ps1-3 games that folks have been clamoring for without them being remasters, ports or them charging in some way etc. Despite there being way less change in their controller interface or storage mediums.

MS has done admirable work with BC, but even they are not 100% & could still do better. Also they don't have a real handheld device that they have to try & work in. So you're asking for something none of the 3 are doing. You want that kind of backwards compatibility, you got to go to PC my friend.

What I honestly don't get is why some people are soooo concerned about how others spend their money or where they play their games? Seriously, why does it bother or concern some of you so much? Not for nothing, but you must not have very much going on in your life if you're that concerned about what others are doing in theirs. You can all but guarantee that the same people clutching their pearls & questioning how others spend their money aren't willing to pay for these people's consoles or games.

So here's a novel idea; why not simply mind your business & let people live & do them unless you're willing to pay for their habits? Plus, if you're really that concerned about their financial well being, why not push them toward the PC? The games often debut cheaper there & the sales tend to be equally good or better as well.

It seems to be that way . Most of the people that I've come across are for sure. I legit have yet to personally find a kid actually playing Animal Crossing. The people that I know or have come across have been anywhere from mid 20's to even like 50 years old or so.

For f'ing real though. Many in thr Community have been begging for corny @$$ sore to make it in there for how long now. It just seems like one of those things where it could just be entitlement. Like hey, we're gonna whine about sword characters, but also take into consideration putting in sword characters that I'm a an of or stan for. You even have people now complaining about human characters m general being generic LMAO. You can definitely understand why a guy like Kamiya gets weary and sometimes fed up with the gaming community. There's just way too much friggin' entitlement, whining and unpleasable people throughout it. The amount of annoyance have to be unbearable sometimes.

I don't know if it would be Rayman given that he was an assist trophy or represented in Trophy form or something in the game, right? It seems that character like that don't tend to you actually get a proper character. While Ubisoft doesn't have any real representation, I'd rather someone besides Rayman be put in any way. Hell, I would take Sam Fisher over a man. Another stealthy guy similar to Snake in there.

Now that latter part I can agree with. As I think that it would've got wayyyy less hate if it remained multi console. Though just in the spirit of keeping things real, it really wasn't too good a game. Like many others, I did have some fun with the multiplayer portions for sure.

I've not played it myself, so I can't say, but man, it must be one heck of a game. There's do use that I know personally. There are dudes that I know personally who I thought would NEVER ever touch a game that looks and plays like that who absolutely love it. So with that anecdotal evidence in honestly just universal acclaim, I'm really honestly debating on getting it. Just not at the current price. On a side note though Hades was personally my GOTY. Way more deserving game of that honor than that whack P.O.S. that you labeled the trash of Us Part 2 lol.

I'm just used to people thinking that just because they play on a certain consoles, buy certain games certain genres, or buy a lot of games but don't really get into many of them makes them more of a gamer than actually enjoying them and going at them like you said your mam does.

I'm all for the disappointment and even for some of the grumbling... if we're keeping it consistent. As I seem to recall very minimal whinging or much calling out on most gaming forums with the releasing of a remaster like demonsouls for a brand new box. Or when most of the gaming world seemed okay with the uncharted collection getting pressed fairly quickly for the ps4. And when we saw the release of the last of us remastered barely a hair outside of a year of it's ps3 release. Almost as if ot was already in the works for real.

The funny and ironic thing about that is I legitimately didn't hear nearly as much of the same cynicism and criticism about those ports and "cash grabs" (as I've seen them lovely called when certain other companies are doing them). Yet they came much quicker in the game then this six-year-old Port of Mario 3D World. Lack of consistency from the media; gaming community and forums is really the only problem that I have with it all

Well, if you're not sure how it goes I'll tell you. A situation and stuff like that is only considered a drought when it comes to Nintendo lol. As systems launching with absolutely Jack schitt to play except for glorified DLC, 3rd party games & remasters atm right now is okay. And other companies making their living off of third parties backs or benefiting from their releases buffing them up is more than acceptable. You didn't even hear this much whining in the first 2 and 1/2 to 3 years of the playstation 4 relying on Indies and having next to nothing until bloodbourne came out.

And honestly, I can understand wanting to gobble up every bit of information that you can and the excitement of getting info handed to you hand over fist, but sometimes I just have to shake my head and laugh at the whining and selective outrage when it comes down to how & when things are acceptable or not. And for who. Having all three helped me more & more how inconsistent & seemingly selective some of these arguments are & have been over the years.

I don't know man, maybe you just aren't looking hard enough. I have well over a hundred games and I don't think any of them are from the Wii U. Games ranging from smaller awesome games like Crawl, Carrion(dope)and the great indie title Hades (which was robbed and should have gotten game of the year) to bigger budget and AAA titles like Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus & Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3. Heck, I haven't even gotten one of my favorite titles from the Wii U the wonderful 101 remastered on the system. There's certainly more than Wii U ports that they are relying on if one actually cares to look my friend.

For real though. My nephew wanted that damn thing so bad and now he finally has it, he's still playing on the ps4 that he's had for years more than he ever does his os5. He was actually a bit salty with me when I told him I wasn't willing to give him cash for stuff he wants for his ps4 now (as I'm often a sucker and do when he asks). I felt a little bad as I have a soft spot for him, but I was like "nope, you wanted to waste your Christmas capital on this system, so there you go" .LOL

The charts also prove th t Nintendo games sell better in most games on the market including other people's exclusive and third party games. There have been overall charts that we've been seeing over and over accounting for all three systems out there and yet Nintendo games are constantly charting higher than many games released. So I don't know if that's really saying anything other than that there is an extremely healthy appetite for Nintendo's games.

Like I said to another poster earlier there was a stat out there showing that Animal Crossing New Horizons had individudlly sold more copies than god of war, horizon zero dawn, spiderman, Gran Turismo sport and others in only 6 weeks of it being on the market. That's just apparently what their games do. Soooooooo...🤷‍♂️

Not only that, but the thing about it is that they're bring up the fact that Nintendo games are always are performing others on Nintendo systems, but it's not just exclusive to Nintendo systems. Overall we've been seeing charts showing that Nintendo games are often outperforming games on other people's systems as well. Heck I remember a gaming article showing that in only six weeks on the market Animal Crossing had sold more than almost all of sony's exclusives out at at the time of its writing . A list that was including horizon zero dawn , spider-man, god of war, gran turismo sport and more Sooooo...🤷‍♂️

Yeah, me either. And it honestly doesn't look that appealing to be honest. There's already games that look like that on the Switch that I've asked by. So while I feel for people that may have been excited about that game, I'm okay with it. At least they put a game like the DarkSiders prequel on the system & BattleChasers that I would actually want to play.

Well if we're keeping it 💯, the bulk of anybody with a popular system's base are casuals. I don't know why people keep thinking casuals are only a Nintendo.platform. There was TONS of casuals on the ps4 which is why I sold so well. Same with the ps2 & every popular console out there.. We just shake out head and laugh when we see people trying to apply the casual card only towards Nintendo.

@kingbk I feel you man. As much as I love gaming, it's hard for me to get through the back catalogue on my Switch, let alone the stuff on the other 2 consoles. Which is why I just laugh in the face of some of these children that try to convince me that I'm missing out on so much & that I wouldn't have enough games to play If I only owned a Switch. I have them all I can unequivocally say that's a fanboy/haters hope, but not quite reality. And while I do enjoy my Xbox as well it wasn't for PUBG it would good virtually all my time. Luckily my third option doesn't really interest me that much, but it's always good to have.

All of what you say is true for sure. However, given the fact that the Xbox 360 and joy con matter is always mentioned, I'm not about to sit up here and gloss over the fact that the ps2 had their own issues with disk read error has, faulty lasers and such that had people re buying them as well. I personally had to re-buy a ps2 (along with several of my friends) and (to a lesser extent) a PS1.

In fact they're the only consoles that I've ever had to re-buy in my life thus far due to outright failure. My Genesis still works, my Nes still works, Sega Master System, GC, N64 & (last time I checked) even the old Atari(s) & intellivision that I had we're still going. Man, now I might have to go old TV shopping as I'm feeling a bit nostalgic.
