Nah, it's sony Fanboys by 40 country miles. I mean look at the examples right here? Even at a Nintendo Centric site they can't keep their @$$es off the board because they feel the need to shill and fellate sony everywhere and every chance they get. You go to a sony centric board & just find a game just okay, you get jumped on & might even get your @$$ banned. Just ask some from that $#!thole n4"g".
Well said & perfect example right here. I certainly prefer my Switch (even my Xbox1X) to my ps4 for sure. Yet I don't go venturing to ps4 sites or message boards to hate or run pr & shill for either of them like some of the gutter balls here do for sony. I just play what I like, and leave the rest alone. It isn't like my ps4 is going to shed a tear because I don't boot it up for a few months or whatever. It's an inanimate object and it here to give me joy, not the other way around.
Yeah, pretty much. And considering it's just a regular 3rd party game I don't see the harm. As at that point it's up to the company to if they want to put persona elsewhere.
The difference though seems to be that we're much quicker to call out, belittle & attempt to shame Nintendo fans for "port begging" while we gloss over, make excuses for or deflect (like now) when it comes to sony fanboys doing it. Another thing is that they don't seem to be quite as arrogant, entitled or (apparently) stupid as some of those fanboys given that you never saw a ground swell of Nintendo fans asking for say a god of war or getting all up in arms about bloodborne coming to their system.
You bring up Persona 5, but that isn't sony's game. It's not even funded by them. It's just exclusive because the company decided to keep it so. So what in the world would be the problem with asking for a game that's 3rd party made to do something that 3rd party games do? Yet they want games that are funded by Nintendo or straight up Nintendo IP's on their system. And then when they can't get them, they get salty & do crap like review bomb the games
Much bigger difference and not even too comparable. When you see a huge outcry from Nintendo fanboys for games like bloodbourne & uncharted, then maybe we'll be closer to equal footing and we can talk.
The funny thing about it is most of the games that those salty fanboy are quick to fellate & praise are 30fps. Hell, most gamers would have very little to play if we kept it at a 60fps or bust threshold lol.
I'm still just looking for some of these jokers that I've seen around here who are consistently quick to chide & police the Nintendo fans (on a Nintendo board) the second they dare say something unflattering about sony or aren't t praising & paying them homage to get in here just as quickly to condemn these (mostly) salty sony famboys doing this $#!t with Astral Chain.
While some idiots allegedly attacked his site, it had nothing to do with hzd. Not one place I read about that even remotely could or tried to make that connection. It more so seemed that some zealots were pissed because he was pretty much the outlier looking for attention when it came to reviewers & they got in their feelings. Not to mention that he was making straight up false claims such as not being able to skip certain cutscenes (for the shrines I believe) like he didn't even play the game much or something. Meh, whatever though...
Agree with you so much. Part of the reason why my ps4 is pretty much just a babysitter or paperweight to this day. Extreme fanboys of any flavor are bad, but sony Fanboys are particularly overbearing & disgusting.
Let's not rewrite history here, because I certainly remember when hzd ame out. And while some may have criticized or even hated on it, it wasn't getting that beleaguered. And then all I heard from sony Fanboys (especially on some of the bigger sites like ign or that s#!thole n4g) was "Zelda who?" and everything else when it was reviewing fairly well. Then Zelda came out and pretty much erased it from memory and then the fanboy frothing & vitriol was full-on. You can STILL go to some of those sites & see them hating on zelda & going on about how horizon zero dawn deserved that game of the year and all that.
Lmao It's so funny that you say that as I feel that way pretty much about most of sony"s games I have played. As I felt like they were just getting higher scores because of who they came from. The last gow & spiderman instanty comes to mind.
From most of the other sites I've been to, it seems to mostly be salty sony fanboys. I went to a couple of big sites and most of the vitriol and hate seemed to com from those hella loyal to sony
Interesting. Well I'm just really getting a chance to see this here, but I sure do hope that the people that are quick to jump on Nintendo fans and berate them of they darw sat anything negative about games that aren't on the system are as quick to come in here to berate and admonish these clowns for this immature and childish behavior. God forbid we see that same quickness and ferocity in this situation from them eh?
Well to be fair, if it's used as a descriptor for a fighting game, I tend to give that some comsideration as I really don't like button mashing fighting
Agreed. Now it's time for gamers to go ahead and support them and put their money where their mouth is. it's always easy to critique and moan about what you want on the system, companies not putting forth the effort or taking it and it's fans seriously enough to put in the work to optimize and everything else, but it's different when they do all that and then many of these same folks don't want to spend the money on it and support devs like these efforts. Waiting on extreme discounts where they don't get a lot of money back from all their hard work or even skipping the game and such. It's a two way street after all. And this is STILL about business.
Well if that's the case, should we be buying a good chunk of ANY of the game's suggested to us these days? What you're saying could be applied to pretty much any game even remotely getting attention these days. Just look at days gone as a recent example and some of the VERY positive reviews that crap fest was getting from some outlets.
Jesus Christ dude, stay out of my head please! As you can see, I was literally just laminating the times of when game is actually used to love gaming more than bi'**ing about it . And sure enough I hit send & I see this comment from you. So glad that I'm not the only one noticing this seemingly (& sadly) ever present trend & feeling that way.
To be fair, if you wait for solid 60 frames & digital foundry's analysis on everything, you wouldn't & won't be playing many games at all; past present or future. Whether AAA games coming from prominent studios or simply the latest indie, a good chunk of this generations biggest & most hyped (and overhyped) games aren't even close to 60 frames & have had performance imperfections. Games like god of war, Fortnite, spiderman, star wars battlefront 2 & even the latest street fighter & more have all had issues witg fps, being only 30 frames or both. Hell, some of them couldn't even maintain a consistent thirty for real.
Don't take this personally btw, but man I can't wait until we get back to the days of just being gamers, in this thing for the love of it & not being so nit-picky & whining about not getting perfection constantly! Ihonestly think this hobby becoming mainstream, while good for it as far as expanding it, has also been one of the worst things ever. As it just seems that the childlike enjoyment of it is gone & folks enjoy nitpicking & whining about the hobby more than they actually do playing the games.
To each their own I suppose. I never feel that way with any of platinum games. As they're one of the few devs these days that I know that I can count on to give me an actual game instead of something that's always trying to be more of a cinematic experience that's trying to take us on some emotional journey with a B Movie plot and dialogue to match. Taking itself wayyyy too seriously as we stroll through yet another set of forests or cliche'd post-apocalyptic worlds with a gruff angsty anti-hero. With actual lengthy and overly dramatic cutscenes to boot.
I know right. Twas just as predictable as this cliche'd & inevitable comment you made that wayyyy overgeneralizes & making a big deal out of something that's not happening even a tenth as much as you're making it out to be. So maybe you're both right on cue. Funny thing I've noticed about a bulk of the folks so quick to call out others or insinuate they have a particular hating, fanboying bias or whatever is that they conveniently (and often consistently) aren't as quick to police others. It's usually pretty selective. Which ironically usually shows one"s own bias, hating or fanboying ways.
So, did you rush over to pushsquare or sony centric sites to call out the sony fanboys who were hating on Microsoft for acquisitions, but frenching sony"s cheeks for purchasing insomniac? Or maybe Microsoft boards to comment on the fans of theirs who talked about other companies sequels when we've had so many Forzas? I hope so as it would go a long way proving that we're not being selective & disingenuous.
On the flip side of that though, man; you must have a lot of time on your hands & energy for the policing that would be needed. Especially if you're policing like you did here where you're quick getting on "people" like it's a whole bunch of folks going on about it when there's only been ONE I think we've seen so far.
Not going to lie, I feel exactly where you're coming from. It's like they get monetary compensation for every time they mention them or shill their products. Anyone legit expecting solid support from Eat A$$ on Switch are deeply uninformed or the most hopeful against folks that there could possibly be.
So yeah, it does kinda seem like shilling & isn't news. Actual news would be when they ARE bringing games to the system. So how about we save the energy for reporting REAL news & if they actually DO support the platform.
Now see, this is the kind of developer that should get more switch owners support. They seem to actually care about the product they putting out. We all know that there would be & has to be some sacrifices with the Switch compared to other consoles given the hybrid nature and just looking at the size of the frigging thing. So the fact that they don't just throw their hands up in the are and say well we got it on the system and that's good enough or just act like the trash people running EA and just ignore the system altogether should garner them some love & goodwill on the strength of that. Maybe the clowns that did ritual of the night should've have a read.
I hear you man, but not everything is one to one. I mean you talk about vita sticks working 7 years later, but I along with quite a few others that I know have had to buy multiple full on ps1 & 2 systems because they kept eating disc and getting disc read errors (some even making it two years). Not to mention that we at least see it is not a consistent theme of theirs and like you said you can pull out an S controller and even some of the others and they (along with the systems) work to this day.
And we've certainly had problems with ps4 controllers wearing down and a bit of stick as well. With any device, sometimes there are problems. As nothing man-made is ever perfect. We can always look at something that went right elsewhere to complain about what's going wrong now. History shows though that they usually have high quality products. It could be anything from a certain plant shipping out these things to something else. As there's legitimately people out there who have never had an issue with the joycon in their life so far
On the other hand, there are people who act like there is no issue and that's not fair to those that have had them. As Ive witnessed the issue in the wild myself with someone. The best I can hope for is that they do right by the customers and get the issue resolved like yesterday.
I have not had no real issues with them, but it is definitely a legit problem. While most of the people I know with a Switch haven't had a problem, I have witnessed someone with this issue personally. And I know darn well that they take care of their products.
I know that it seems like a lost art these days, but some people actually think for themselves & don't worry that heavily about what reviewers or others opinions are. Thet just buy & choose to enjoy what THEY want or have interest in. Crazy I know, but not too radical a concept considering that these reviewers aren't the ones coming out of their pockets for your games whether you enjoy or hate a game you purchased off of their recommendations.
I mean it IS just their opinions after all. Going off my usual script & listening to reviewers instead of going with my gut is how I wasted $60 on the last god of war. And when did top end games become 49 bucks again? I wish we were that lucky again. Top end games tend to be 59.99 & above when I checked. Last time I saw a 49 dollar game was the GC/Xbox & ps2 era. Could be a regional thing, but if so, I need to start importing for real.
Well to be fair, they are fixing the game as well. It's not like they're not doing that. I just figure if Switch owners have to wait for the game to be up to par that they can wait for the DLC as well. Especially in this day and age when things happen like it did with say a game like project cars. You never know once they have your money. I try to take people at their word, but this is a whole different industry then it was when I first started (or hell even a gen or 2 ago).
Straight up man. I could buy it on the Xbox One X (or even my old ps4 that I pretty much gave away), but this is definitely the sort of game that I'd want portable. Maybe instead of this clown stroking his ego & rushing to sell people DLC with him as a boss being part of the selling point he gets his @$$ in gear & as hastily help fix the version of the game for the folks who have shown you the most love? I don't have the game yet, so it doesn't really bother me at all, but I find it pretty scummy the way that he's done Switch owners of the game who've been a major factor in his game's success.
It's just the sign of the times. It's trendy to be negative, snarky and cynical constantly these days it seems. I was going to comment more, but meh...
Well the best version will probably be on PC honestly. However, if it's really that important you should certainly do as best ya can since it sounda like they royally reamed the Switch version. As for myself, it doesn't look to be that great a game or interesting enough that I would double dip personally.
Fairly good hopes seeing as there's games with much more going on than this game doing pretty admirably on the Switch. Let's not lose faith in others because of these guys piss poor programming & efforts.
Exactly man. It's pretty freaking funny that you can't actually be a Nintendo fan on this site without being labeled a fanboy by some of these clowns; while in that very same breath BTW these clear sony fanboys are here worshipping sony & a seemingly in a huff when/if you don't. I have a ps4 & honestly the s#!t has pretty much become a paperweight, end of story.
Yet I don't feel the need to run over to pushsquare or any other sony centric sites to go shill for another company or belittle those fans like some jokers here. If it no longer amuses or interests me, I simply move on. I don't go around trying to change people's minds, promote other companies products or publicly felating Nintendo or others on a sony centric site like some of these guys here. It's just pathetic that you can't choose to be a fan here without having to deal with that kind of garbage.
Yet try & go to some of these ps sites with that sort of behavior & watch what happens at most of them. Hell, you can go to supposedly non sony centric sites that just happen to be infested with sony fanboys like n4g & get your comments removed, yourself put on time out or even permabanned if you dare criticize or show disdain towards anything sony (or their cult members). And yet you can witness bashing of anyone & anything outside of sony all day with impunity.
So the clear sony sympathizers can criticize the site all they want, but at least the mods aren't don't seem to be such fanboys that ain't try to silence you; instead actually letting them have a voice here unlike others I've witnessed. So they can talk all they want about others, but sony Fanboys are some of THE worst & most hypocritical that I've witnessed in any medium, hands down!
Bruh, I'm not going to lie, I didn't read ANY of that garbage outside of the first couple of lines. And while I was certainly going to give that courtesy, after scrolling down & seeing that wall of ka ka & I see that I made the right move there. As if your not willing or able to make it even remotely readable I figure that there's not much there to take seriously. So yeah, sorry Charlie. Anyway how about you just take the advice of that chick from Frozen & just let it go Lol. You probably won't though, so I'll probably just hit you with that ignore.
Good thing that we all are allowed different opinions. As I definitely wouldn't want to be stuck with yours as it"s certainly more of a speak for yourself kind of thing. Even though I've owned 3 out of their 4 systems including their latest, I certainly feel like I wouldn't need their console to get more than my fill of a gaming fix. Most of the titles that I play on their boxes are virtually all third party anyway. And hell, my ps4 pretty much would have been a paperweight if it wasn't the spare media player in the other room and occasional babysitter for when the kiddies come over after I got my XB1X.
Sorry buddy, that's fanboy talk & I'm not some 13 year old feeling the need to talk about which toy won in a non existent, made up nerd war. Maybe I didn't see anybody "winning" or "losing" because I've had multiple consoles for generations now. I will indulge you for a hot second though since I got it.
The fact of the matter is, they made profit with both endeavors.They managed to do that without needing a 1st place finish & also while others weren't turning much of any prophet in their gaming sector. Not to mention consistently being on of the top publishers in the world, delivering top tier, award winning titles & being one of the most emulated companies in the industry.
Doesn't sound like losing to me. Especially since despite all the doom & gloom they endured, actual rough patches & the entertainment landscape getting ever more crowded as time went on surviving & still thriving as pretty much just a video game company while others have/need other stuff to prop them up.
Eh, I don't know man. There's no right or wrong way to game. Options are great after all. And lipase A Different Strokes for different folks. For instance, I may not get another aony console in my home, but I definitely plan to have the next Xbox along with my Nintendo console. And I certainly like having that option.
Eh, sorry I can't agree with you there0 chief. Especially since I can't see how anyone would believe that they would be far behind for some reason that they've had no problem working with or on powerful consoles before. Especially when you usually in in the same breath or thought bubble people are giving a sony constant props when they've only had about two home consoles worth talking about power wise.
I just find it funny how we forget or forgive the weaker hardware of the ps1 & 2 when putting full faith in sony. Call me nuts, but there's no reason it would be hard for Nintendo to make and work on a powerhouse if they chose to. I think that some people tend to make the mistake of forgetting that they're choosing not to chase the graphics rabbit down the hole, but it's not like they have not or could not.
@NESlover85
That's the thing about anecdotal evidence though. Just because you do or don't see it, doesn't make it any more or less relevant, true or un-true. As I know several people who have heard if the game or even own it. Dunny how that works

Re: Nintendo Releases Statement About Switch Joy-Con Drift Issue
@Rayquaza2510
Re: Class Action Lawsuit Officially Filed Against Nintendo For Switch Joy-Con "Drifting" Issues
@Darkyoshi98
I have not had no real issues with them, but it is definitely a legit problem. While most of the people I know with a Switch haven't had a problem, I have witnessed someone with this issue personally. And I know darn well that they take care of their products.

@Kriven
Facts for sure.
Re: Nintendo Focuses On Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 At San Diego Comic-Con
@MrGawain
Re: Iga's Back Pack Now Available In Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night
@Lumine
Re: Iga's Back Pack Now Available In Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night
@hihelloitsme
Maaaan please, this game isn't pushing chit. You can find games from last gen that look about as good as this.
Re: Iga's Back Pack Now Available In Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night
@Kalmaro
Re: Daemon X Machina Trailer Shows Off "Major Improvements" From Demo Feedback
@Varkster
It's just the sign of the times. It's trendy to be negative, snarky and cynical constantly these days it seems. I was going to comment more, but meh...

@Kirgo
Ecactly.
Re: Review: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night - A Fine Castlevania Tribute That's A Technical Trainwreck On Switch
@YANDMAN
Well the best version will probably be on PC honestly. However, if it's really that important you should certainly do as best ya can since it sounda like they royally reamed the Switch version. As for myself, it doesn't look to be that great a game or interesting enough that I would double dip personally.
Re: Review: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night - A Fine Castlevania Tribute That's A Technical Trainwreck On Switch
@BanjoPickles @TheLightSpirit
Fairly good hopes seeing as there's games with much more going on than this game doing pretty admirably on the Switch. Let's not lose faith in others because of these guys piss poor programming & efforts.
Re: Sony Doesn't See Nintendo As A Major Rival, More Worried About Microsoft Next Generation
@Nomad
Re: Sony Doesn't See Nintendo As A Major Rival, More Worried About Microsoft Next Generation
@Snakesglowcaps
Re: Sony Doesn't See Nintendo As A Major Rival, More Worried About Microsoft Next Generation
@Sim1
@alucard
🤔 What? Wait, I think they're actually serious? 🤨...😖. 😂 🤣
Re: Sony Doesn't See Nintendo As A Major Rival, More Worried About Microsoft Next Generation
@Snakesglowcaps
Re: Sony Doesn't See Nintendo As A Major Rival, More Worried About Microsoft Next Generation
@AndrosEGD
Perhaps that's why they don't see them as a competitor. More like an outside R & D branch to be poached or something LMAO.
Re: Sony Doesn't See Nintendo As A Major Rival, More Worried About Microsoft Next Generation
@Wavey84
Eh, I don't know man. There's no right or wrong way to game. Options are great after all. And lipase A Different Strokes for different folks. For instance, I may not get another aony console in my home, but I definitely plan to have the next Xbox along with my Nintendo console. And I certainly like having that option.
Re: Sony Doesn't See Nintendo As A Major Rival, More Worried About Microsoft Next Generation
@Snakesglowcaps

I agree with you pretty much everything in your comment. Great post there sir/ma'am.
Re: Feature: It's Time To Lay Down Your ARMS
@NESlover85
That's the thing about anecdotal evidence though. Just because you do or don't see it, doesn't make it any more or less relevant, true or un-true. As I know several people who have heard if the game or even own it. Dunny how that works
Re: Feature: It's Time To Lay Down Your ARMS
@Pazuzu666
Staight up facts dude.
Re: Review: Contra Anniversary Collection - Run 'N Gun Perfection
@akennelley1
Yeah, I'm not going to lie, quite a bit of their credibility went down the drain with me with that remark there.
