tropical freeze? that's the only game that have made me want to throw my switch in rage.

if i want a feel-good platformer i'll return to rayman legends: colorful worlds you can complete at your own pace, great art, funny animations, nice music..

Re: Review: The Inner World (Switch eShop)

on the other hand, I can see how it could get frustrating if you're trying to rush it to get the review done. but in my experience, point and clicks must be played in bursts, taking breaks when you hit a wall and returning later with new eyes.

@Bunkerneath
i played it on pc and must have used the hints like, once?
i don't know how seasoned you are in point and clicks, but if you enjoy the genre, this is one of the finest I've played recently.

Re: Super Return of the Jedi

This is the only one of the trilogy I never got to play back in the day. I guess now I'll finally know how the story ends!

Re: Telltale Games: 'Wii Audience Is Perfect For Us"

@Egg miester:

Actually, the right order is: First they say the Wii is perfect for their games (they've been saying so since even before releasing Strong Bad), then, they say is underpowered, and finally, they repeat their initial (and official) stance.

So yes, it's damage control, but it was necessary because of the huge coverage the gaming blogs have given to a post in a forum, while I haven't seen any blog talking about other posts on the same forum where they explain their decisions, apologize for the quality of the game and tell the measures they're taking to avoid it in the future. But, I guess flaming wars still sell more.

Re: Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen

Music nerd trivia fact:

Did you know that "Ogre Battle" and "The March of the Black Queen" are the name of two songs from the second album of Queen?

I wonder if there was a fan involved in the development of this game...

Re: USA VC Release - Earthworm Jim

fco

NO... Not so soon!.. I still need to finish ANY of the VC games I have so I can start making space for this (darn, I feel like an otaku).

Also, I'd really love to play this on my TV, but it's hard to say yes to this when Good Old Games is offering the PC version of both Earthworm Jim 1 & 2 for $6.

320 blocks, ouch... looks like for the first time I'll have to erase some stuff.

Re: Square-Enix Gets Invaded!

They should do like Capcom with Mega Man, and bring the old C64 version to the Virtual Console prior to the release of this one.

Re: Midnight Pool

wow, just this weekend I was revisiting Wii Play and wishing there was a more complete pool game. Let's see what the reviewers have to say about this.

Re: Top 20 WiiWare Games in America (13th August)

fco

Woha! Pokemon descends not one but two steps in the ranks. Bad for Pong Toss, but good for Strong Bad. I guess there was a lot of expectation for this game from Homestarrunner fans. Let's hope it remains high in the following weeks.

Also, what happened with Toki Tori? didn't they notice that I bought it this week?

Re: Top 20 WiiWare Games in America (6th August)

fco

@MasterMario "Why are Americans getting Pong Toss?"

Because it's got the word "frat" in it's title. Americans are nuts for everything frat.

This prooves that reading the title is enough research at the time of choosing a game for the avarage Wii gamer.

...which explains why a game like say, Toki Tori, is about to fall off the chart.

edit: just imagine what would have happened if they had kept the word "beer"...
