Re: Google Reveals Stadia, Its Vision Of A Cloud Gaming Future

@EasyDaRon doesnt matter how big your platform really. Look at last generation. Xbox was massive the 360 sales were through the roof there was no stopping it. This generation the PS4 still has more sales than Switch and Xbox combined by a fairly large amount. The biggest reason being the exclusives, thats still why the Switch is selling well now. If they have something like that it'll do well.
A lot of people are strongly against an all online system which I'm not but i do understand the concern.

Internet goes down or router does? Nope no more game for you. Even though modern consoles are mostly online most game still work without a connection.

Re: Wonder Boy Returns Is Getting Remixed For Switch Release

I loved the original even if it was hard as balls. But this looks terrible, the art style is basic and like they didnt really care at all. Look at Dragon trap that was a damn near flawless and true recreation, this looks like a cheap knockoff you see on Android or iOS.
I played the original on Master System to death.

Re: Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey Is One Of The Worst-Selling Mario Games To Date

earthinheritor

Because Nintendo still wont and never will learn that their pricing structure is out of date and makes no sense. Every time they re-release a game they think its ok to jack the price up. Remakes should never ever be full price unless they have a load of new content added. Take Crash Bandicoot for example, 3 games fully remade from the ground up for $40-$50cdn same with Spryo.
Then look at this one and Super Luigi they are full price games that released years ago. That's not how the industry works. they are just lucky that Super Luigi sold well.

You can run a business expecting people to pay full price for a 5+ year old game. Not when the PS4 and the Xbox one has AAA titles for much less.

Hey do you want a 7 year old re-release for full price? Or would you rather get pay Red Dead 2 on sale for much less.

I mean hell look at Shadow of the Colossus. That was a complete overhaul, new graphics engine, recorded music everything. They built it pretty much from the ground up and charged half price for it.

Re: Nintendo Planning Ways To "Boost The Appeal" Of Switch Online Service On A Yearly Basis

They promised special deal like PS+ Sales and Xbox Live Gold sales and so far we have the NES classic controller on sale...still..since launch. Even on the site right now it shows "Exclusive offers only for subscribers" that hasn't changes since day one. NES controllers (at full price) and Splatoon Gear....ooooo exciting.
If they offered deals on 1st party games for signing up for a year i would have that on automatic renewal no problem.

@SwitchForce I wasn't going to sit here and list every game i could think of, I'm just going with more recent examples. As for my own metric, I have every system of the last 2 generations and back home i have everything back to the Atari 2600, for my current systems i have over 200 games easily with digital and physicals. I also play a bit of everything. About the only thing i dont play is sports games. I'm playing Kindgom Hearts at the moment but after that I'm going to Far Cry. I will play pretty much anything I can get my hands on, time permitting of course.

As for you saying im in the NintendoDoom game. My Wii U is still hooked up and fully functioning, As it my Switch, and my 3ds gets a play every now and then when i want something portable other than Switch. I have bought, and still own, every Nintendo system from SNES on.

I dont think Nintendo is going anywhere and i dont want them too. Hell i preorder Metroid in 2017 when they just showed a logo and i preordered Pokemon Lets Go as well. I love Nintendo, but they dont appeal to a broad audience. Man i wish they did, i would love to see them do something and take a risk.

@Almighty-Koz I am so sick of see Astro Bears and bulb boy or whatever its called, almost every single week something like that is on sale. Then the good games are way more expensive on the Switch than another console and they new put first party games on sale.
I understand that stuff like Yooka Laylee and other mulit platform games came out later on the Switch. But, Nintendo knows that the Switch is primarily selling as a second system. So why would i buy games like that for double the price on Switch.

Re: Nintendo President Says 20 Million Switch Target Failed Due To "Insufficient" Efforts To Convey Its Appeal

I love Nintendo but they have always had an issue with appealing to a larger audience and the copy as a whole is outdated.
Just look at the former Youtube policy, they acted like the internet was a new scary thing an they had no idea how to handle it. Same with most of the Switchs online functionality. It feels like a first attempt at a new online culture..expect its a decade behind the curve.

Even their social media presence is terrible. Yes they exist pretty much everywhere but they never interact with fans on any scale.
They need a AAA title that isn't Zelda or Mario and at this point they need a new IP. But they just keep using the old ones and are too scared to branch out.

Re: Talking Point: How Do You Feel About The Metroid Prime 4 Delay?

earthinheritor

Hugely disappointing i understand why they did it and trust them. There are a lot of AAA titles to go up against an if they don't think its right then it makes sense.

One thing i think we all need to be thankful for is the level of respect to the consumer and the fans in that video. They didn't have to do that but they did and it showed a lot of respect. Far more than most developers.

Re: Talking Point: Come In Nintendo 3DS, Your Time Is Up

earthinheritor

Personally, i would be fine seeing the end of the DS. Its been around for a long time now and nothing really new happens. Its just terrible 3rd party games from a bargain bin or overpriced remasters. There has also been some decent 3ds titles launch that made no sense being on the 3ds like the remake of Luigis mansion. It did well, let is die and focus entirely on Switch. Nintendo right now just looks like its competing with itself and it just seems weird from a business perspective.
