@Crono1973 Because a lot of these "remasters" are done using AI upscaling to maximize profit (don't gotta pay AI) and not ig teams of people wanting to make it the best possible experience. They're not projects of love like the recent Star Ocean 2 remaster was. These are just to appease share holders and allow the fat cats at the top to afford a new mansion.

I tried Rise when it was a free trial or something awhile back and was bored to tears in about an hour. I'm not sure why, I enjoyed the Wii one even if i didn't play all that much but Rise felt tedious by the time I crafted my first armor.

Here in Murrica it's common for our three letter agencies to be well aware of people who do these types of things. They just don't act until after they've carried out their attacks.

Going to the local mom and pop trade in shop and coming home with FF7 is a day I'll always remember. Riding home and looking through that glorious fat manual all games had before they got too cheap to give us paper.

Can't say I'd bother playing a demake or the remake though. Ps1 version emulated at 8x resolution with all the QoL bells and whistles is where it's at.

Really do not get why they're remastering this (besides greed and easy profit with no effort since AI handles remasters in most cases). You can't make 2d paper style characters look any better. I got Doorkickers, Arkane, Mana Spark and Good Night Knight. Played a little of each and they all seem actually pretty decent, especially for 80 cents. Dex was one of the first games I got for my Switch and it's also pretty good.

I got a chuckle out of a joke within the first couple minutes of Good night Knight that was worth the 20 cents alone!

Doorkickers reminds me of this SWAT game I used to play waaay back in the early 90s and it has touch controls that make it pretty cool to drag around your way points and stuff.

Also people keep saying Robonauts, but it's not included in this sale and is 1.99.

Played a bit on mobile but wasn't very impressed but I'm not really into games that play themselves in a sense. I like actually doing attacks bit just having the potato auto whack things when they get close.

A paid BR game is a very slippery slope. Although this isn't a BR game at all really so..kinda weird marketing it like that. But buzzwords and whatnot.

With the millions of games out with new stories and innovations to discover, I can't really say I want to play...Pac-man...these days.

Muramasa is a great game. Wouldn't touch a re-cash grab though considering it emulates well at 4x resolution so any graphic upgrades would be moot.

Repetitive should never be a pro. Something can be repetitive but should never feel that way (a match of Overwatch for example is repetitive in nature, but never FEELS that way) when playing.
