I guess I expected bowser's fury runs on the same engine so we get the same performance. It's interesting that they dropped it to 30, must have much more complex levels and models.
Not sure I get the point of making a docked game at 720 in 2021. This seems like an Xbox 360 or ps3 type situation.
I have about 120 hours into this game playing through main + dlc. It was when I first got my switch and is still one of my favorite strategy games on any system. I don't know why it clicked so much for me but the characters certainly make it a lot of fun. And shooting rabbids just feels good.
With discs that small it was screaming for a more portable option with a built in screen. Something akin to the psone with optional screen but they could go even smaller.
I like the freedom of being able to sit around and make the harder parts of the game easier. But it can't take you hours to grind. How did this article not mention octopath, it has to be the most old school grind I've had to do in a while cause you have to level all the characters up to even do the story parts. Now that is a part of grinding I don't like, using characters you don't normally just to level up just to trigger story events.
@Anti-Matter oh yeah you have a personal stake in all this. I will admit the property being owned by Konami is probably the only reason we don't get consistent games for newer consoles. Heck if they can make let's dance every year they could probably sell enough ddr.
@MaxiPareja US charts is all games that came out somewhat recently.... and Mario Kart 8. Would think you guys would be similar unless the charts are being screwed up by bundles like the other person explained.
@Clyde_Radcliffe kind of but you could switch which way you were facing at any time and a lot of the puzzles were about platforming in a way that required you to swap directions at precise times. There is a game called Old School Racer 2 that is a lot closer to it.
The last lego game I played was DC Super Villains and it was surpringly open world and diverse. I will probably have to pick this up for all the variety it shows off. Would be cool if they did multiplayer space battles.
@Clyde_Radcliffe oh ok, I was wondering about gta v as well, that makes sense. That one probably sticks out more since it's Mature and old. At least kids can play the other 2.
@Terra I guess I wasn't into the first model since it wasn't backlit. Wonder if they thought it would come off as too Pikachu but without the branding.
UK charts are weird right now. No immortals but gta v and minecraft? These are NEW purchases? I am so confused how that many people don't have minecraft
@MegaVel91 I realize that but they just haven't had a lot of good fighting games since the first one came out way back in 2015. naruto is really their main fighting game draw and they even jacked up the last one of those games (Shinobi Striker). What's the point of taking a gamble on them with your biggest series again.
I don't think the Namco games really count as we know who ends up handling all the anime series and it's Bandai.
@RupeeClock I guess my point is Donkey Kong had to go from a Villain to a hero with that game. I think a lot of his appeal was that he came off as powerful and heroic both in look and story. I'm just not sure anyone would have bought into a cartoon gorilla as being something to take seriously
@iulis84 we also have a heck of a lot less teams than euro football so that helps. I don't know how AAA baseball and other more localised sports are doing but it's understandable that countries like Romania don't have massive national tv deals like here. I guess it's supply and demand and here there is not a lot of supply (1 league per sport type) and crazy high demand.
@iulis84 If it's anything like American sports they make almost all their money off merch and tv deals. So they are still making bank even without seats sold.
The first game was hilarious and a nice team fortress type multiplayer. Early ps4 days too so not a ton of competition. It was all downhill from there though.
@Lordd_G could have said that about sunshine and they tried out Mario + gadgets and didn't use it again. So my theory is it's more of a chance to try new things without making an entire game.
Castlevania is great just to play the two 16 bit games. I actually made it through most of castlevania 2 just out of spite for the bad reviews, it's great with a guide.
The extra momentum effects all the jumps. Looks like they made it a little more free flowing and the prospect of being able to finish the levels in a different way does make me want it more.
They made the PC version spectacular, complained that they had to make it compatible with ps5 and xSx and then didn't even come out with a version for them. If they had split the time of dev up and not had to make the PC version the only good version it could have been patched and all versions got better over time.
I think they grossly underestimated how much of their audience is on console and really the worst thing a game maker can do is make a great game and then a broken game on 2 different platforms. It's like teasing us that the PC players get RTX and 60fps.
Given all that I had about 35 hours of fun on Series X until I realized it wasn't worth blowing through this whole game on crappy mode and not wanting to play it again until the true current gen version is out.

Re: Feature: "You Have To Rewire Your Brain To Accept The Absurdities I'm Going To Lay Out"
It sounds like he made a lot of his games intentionally broken in funny ways. Which I would have to agree is very entertaining.
Re: Video: A Full Playthrough Of GoldenEye 007's Cancelled Remake Has Leaked Online
I just want an online multiplayer game where I can hide in the toilets. Is that too much to ask

Re: R-Type Final 2's Getting A 'Special Chronicle Box', But There's No Game Included
This looks like stuff that probably existed before the box and just are getting packaged together.
Re: Fuser's 1.3 Update Promises Easier Browsing, Disc Previews, And Live Set Events
Wonder how well this game actually sold. It looked cool but I'm just not that motivated to pay to make a mix of songs I don't like.
Still have a decent amount of people playing online?
Re: Poll: Which Is Your Favourite GameCube Console Variant?
@rdrunner1178 oh I see it hooked into the handle. Lol that's probably the most useful utilization of that thing.

Re: Soapbox: Grinding Is Poor Gameplay Design That Doesn’t Respect Your Time
@Donutman Cyberpunk might come to switch as a streaming game but there won't be a direct port like the witcher 3, I can guarantee you that.

Re: Review: Cyber Shadow - A Blisteringly Brilliant Action Platformer
Playing this on Gamepass last night. It's like Ninja Gaiden meets megaman. Really a great game all around.

I loved this game! I remember when trials came out I wanted to play it because of this. Can't wait.

Re: Feature: 6 Huge Video Game Franchises Missing From Nintendo Switch
MGS 2 and 3 on vita made for a great portable game. I would even take a metal gear acid collection upscaled.
3 on 3DS got me to buy the circle pad pro.

It's too bad? Or we just found something completely random and needed a way to present it?

@Bl4ckb100d The Mario costumes in Tekken Tag 2 on Wii U are still the best.
Re: Pokkén Tournament Producer Katsuhiro Harada Up For A Sequel, But Says It's Not Bandai Namco's Decision To Make
Idk, a 3D arena fighter after they fudged up jump force doesn't sound great. How about Arc Sys get a shot at a 2D?
Re: Soapbox: It’s Time For A Pokémon Trading Card Game Reboot On Switch
I used the original to learn how to play. I was too cheap to buy actual cards I just wanted to see what all the fuss was about.
Cardpocalypse is a pretty fun homage to it.

Re: Video: 27 Years Later, Early Donkey Kong Country Concept Sketches Are Revealed To The World
I think this game could have been just as great in a cartoonish yoshi's island type style but probably wouldn't have made nearly as big of a splash.

Re: Random: This Nintendo Switch Wannabe Runs Cyberpunk 2077, Costs $700
@Malones2792 Switch lite isn't 700 bucks. You can speak to the quality of these?
Oh that's right, coming to indie gogo. So yeah it'll be out in 4 years or never at all.
Re: Fortnite Adds Top Football Teams Like Man City And Juventus In Latest Crossover
Fortnite and branded fluff is like rocket league and branded fluff. F2P has its costs.
Re: Random: This Nintendo Switch Wannabe Runs Cyberpunk 2077, Costs $700
Uh and the controllers are built into the system. Have fun fixing them when they break in 6 months.

The graphics remind me of this phone game called Hard Time.

"all that and more", so it'll get a perfect 10/10 and then some?
Re: Here's A Closer Look At Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night's Classic Mode Update
So it's basically a new game if it doesn't use the map. Curse of the moon 2 is only 8 stages so 5 is pretty good
