SEGA and Two Point Studios have announced Two Point Hospital: Jumbo Edition for Nintendo Switch, a new, enhanced edition of the original game that'll be available at retail.
The new bundle includes the base game, four expansions, and two items packs, offering a total of 27 hospitals, 189 illnesses, and lots of items to place in your hospitals. Each of the included expansions bring new areas with region-specific illnesses and challenges:
Bigfoot brings you to the wintery region of Pointy Mountains, where local celebri-yeti Bartholomew F. Yeti, has been petitioning for better healthcare. Mr Yeti will need your help, curing new illnesses such as Cold Shoulder, Bard Flu, and Aurora Snorealis!
In Pebberley Island you begin your adventures in the balmy climes of Pebberley Reef, before pushing into dense, unexplored country in Overgrowth, to finally conquer the stunning Topless Mountain as you attempt to unlock the lost secret of eternal youth.
In Close Encounters rumours persist of an out of this world encounter. Deal with conspiracies, secret facilities and more unusual illnesses like Science Friction and Lack of Humanity. Maybe you’ll get to see some aliens…
For anyone who’s more into Green Things and Mother Nature… no problem! In Off The Grid you’ll manage new gameplay mechanics on your route to eco-friendly success. Visit Two Point County’s first eco-city, get gardening and don’t catch any Root Snoot or Green Fingers!
Two Point Hospital: Jumbo Edition launches on Switch on 5th March, both physically and digitally. If you already own the base game, you can also purchase the new content digitally via the eShop.
It's pretty safe to say that we loved our time with the base game when that launched on Switch last February, so we're sure this new bundle will be well worth your time. Let us know if you'll be diving into this new Jumbo Edition with a comment below.

I've been on the fence about this game for awhile, this may actually get me to take the plunge. Bonus points for the physical release!
This game is so chaotic and there are never enough doctors when you need them. It's a perfect simulation.
bought it last year, still sits in my library unplayed with about 800 other titles.
Such a fun game. I just really wish they would add some cheat codes to it as I'm beyond terrible 😂
The original physical edition for Switch was hard enough to find, and let's hope the "Jumbo Edition" extra contents are reasonably-priced for those of us that have already purchased it. However, SEGA and Two Point really need to fix the issues that plague the Switch version, especially in the larger hospitals; random crashes at the end-of-year (costing you 30-60 minutes of progress depending on your play speed) and the limits on the number of staff (which are nowhere near as restrictive on other versions) have made me put the game aside until something is done about them.
I've only played a little of the base game, so I've no idea whether I need an expansion or not. It's a fun game, I'm just not sure about its legs yet.
I've been meaning to get it from the start since I loved Theme Hospital. It has seen some nice discounts from time to time and I've been really close to buying it but I'm still yet to actually buy it. One day I will.
@Rob3008
just trained your Doctor to give paracetamol for everything like real Doctor and you will be fine kkk
i own the base game and i loved it, i will buy the expansion too they will revive the game a lot
@JasmineDragon
expansion added more original illness with specific room just for more variety , and a lot of items for better personalize your hospital
@NPC411
i never had a crash for now, but i agree a lot on the staff limits but maybe they checked and there is no way to do so without make the game unstable
does it come in a jumbo box. have the original physical release great chaotic game.
Love this game to death on PC. Just took the plunge a couple days ago so I could play it on the go. If only if known...
Eek! Now seems like a good time to grab this 2021 is getting expenseev
@aresius If you try an extremely large hospital in Sandbox Mode and put it through its paces, the crashes will start happening within a handful of years. According to the full press release on Two Point's website, they promise to "have a huge range of bug fixes included as well, including (but not limited to) lots of stability fixes for those pesky crashes some of you have been reporting", so let's hope they will follow through.

@NPC411
good to know about the bug fixes and let's hope to have that increase in the staff member
@thejuice027 I feel your pain.
I'll wait for the New physical release.
As long as it's all on the cartridge, I'll bite on day one.
I love the original game, but I imagine that with fewer technical limitations, that the PC version would be a far superior experience overall. I can't justify buying the PC version unless it's through GOG though (in which case, I double-dip without hesitation).
Highly recommended if you've loved Theme Hospital back in the day.
I find it funny how this is the jumbo edition and not the complete edition. They still have plans for more expansions in the future. Still waiting for them to finish the thing.
I love the idea of the close encounters expansion, I am sucker for anything to do with aliens.
omg FINALLY! I'm glad I held off on buying the pc port. I blew through everything in a week in this game.
The problem is that Close Encounters makes the game basically unplayable. You can't do anything other then spend 100% of your time looking for aliens. The core gameplay basically breaks down completely.
Buy the base game, stay away from that DLC at all costs.
Ugh I just bought this....
Tempting...... I may get this version.
One of my absolute favorite games of all time. This will get me jumping straight back in!
@HeadPirate
Really? Like the lobbistic dlc for tropico6 ?that as well break the game
