Re: Random: The NSO Icon On The Switch Home Menu Is Driving Some Users Crazy

@Dirty0814 The concept of a request is something that I understand how to work around but I still want them to add because it would make MY life easier. Not something that I just need to learn a workaround for, I am well aware of how to use my switch and your method still requires a password and an internet connection just to see all the games I own...

@Dirty0814 So we have a difference in opinion on what we want here. I still want to be able to see all my games without going to store, entering my password and redownloading them. So if I want a game I just click the icon and redownload it.

You are saying delete everything you don't use and then if you want to remember what games you have go to the store, but that is pretty unideal. I am pretty aware of how to use all the options it's just not great to forget about games you already own because you don't go to the store all the time. A simple filter that says "installed games" would work just fine, Xbox already does this and lets you still see all your other games.

@BenAV Xbox does it that way too but at least they give you filters on your overall list and then a special section outside of that called pins. Which is more or less folders of shortcuts. I agree the 3DS is a pain.

The vita route of folders that hold games and no master list would kill functionality people use, so I see it more as an addition.

@TDRsuperstar2 If you are willing to invest in a big limited collectors package I guess I can see not wanting to double down or miss out because you already blew 60 on it. But just saying no physical no buy implied you were protesting buying the game.

I just don't like people bashing developers for not giving them what they want when the developers main concern is you being able to play the game. I mean that's the point of the game.

They don't always have full control over what the publisher does and if it works on the system it's an accomplishment without shiny objects to go along with it.

@TDRsuperstar2 Yeah but you obviously don't care about playing the game that much. You are just concerned with investing in a digital product. You wouldn't care that much if you were looking forward to it for a long time and couldn't wait to play it.

I honestly don't blame you either way just saying there are a lot of games I could give or take as well. But anyone who wants to play it should still be happy.

@StuartGipp So am I missing something here, I watched this video and at around 12:00 there's a decent amount of action but seems to be running around 25fps or so, which seems substandard but playable. Does it get worse in other parts?

I reread your review and sounds like the performance might only be playable in docked mode?

None of the amazing capcom beat em ups made the list and there were a lot of them. Knights of the round and captain commando were great but of course final fight 1-3 are always the classic answer to streets of rage. At least that capcom beat em up collection exists on switch.

@GrailUK I will agree 50 for an official item like this is not too far out of the question or a ripoff. It's a fair price. I don't personally want one because it'd probably just end up in a drawer after a few uses but I still think it's cool.

I assume most of those people complaining just want a mini nes portable and are more complaining about that not existing by assuming this product was supposed to fulfill that.

@sanderev People feel compelled to buy these because they are limited and great collectors items. So while they are providing a good product people will enjoy they are also creating a large amount of cash on hand in a short amount in time.

That's called squeezing, it doesn't mean they're evil but they use stuff like this and 3D All Stars to boost cash on hand. Whenever there is a fever to buy something because you might not be able to in the future it is not completely free market taking over. Supply would scale with demand over time for a normal product.

Xbox Series X is great so far. Really enjoying the RTX, 4K and HDR. Having gone from a vanilla Xbox One and never owning a One X the change is dramatic and well worth the price. All my Xbox One games look better than ever and some are even optimized for Series X now at no additional price. PS5 will have to wait a few years but I always get roped into buying the sony console second by exclusives.
