If games aren't art, why do they need artists? An illustrator is an artist. An actor is also an artist. And so is a musician. Besides, art produced by an artist, as long as it generates revenue, is also a product.

@fenlix I'm ok with them delisting the original in favor of the Director's Cut as long as they release a free update for people that has the original.

@Lizuka @Lucami I hope you're right. The absence of any mention to redownloading titles from our accounts and the emphasis on system transfer make me think a lot of bad stuff that might happen. I'll remain skeptical until it can be confirmed.

@xzacutor That's my doubt exactly. When they announced that Switch 2 would be backwards compatible I was so relieved. But after the presentation, it looks like they will only be compatible with a system transfer, which is horrendous. I mean, what happens if you delete a game? Is it lost forever?! My Switch games occupy a 512Gb memory card, how am I supposed to transfer all of them to a 256Gb storage on the Switch 2?

I really hope I'm wrong though, because that would make me NOT get a Switch 2.

It'd be great if they would come up with something like the Microsoft Rewards program, but it doesn't seem quite likely. I used MS rewards to buy Switch gift cards and got some great games for free, but unfortunately the store I used to buy them from changed some of their policies and now I can't do it anymore. Now with gold points going down too, there is not much incentive for me to buy Switch games anymore except huge discounts, which are quite rare. Sad day...

One less reason to keep my Vita once it is released in the west.

Learning about new gimmicks is fun and all, but I'm interested about the new hardware capabilities, like storage space, battery capacity, screen resolution and overall power of the device. I wonder if there will be a boost in performance for Switch 1 games...

As an Xbox user myself, I'd love to have a handheld Xbox device to keep playing off-tv. It would have to be playable locally, no cloud gaming please, but downloading saves is essential. The fact that Microsoft doesn't charge for cloud saves is just perfect for that matter, though I suppose it would mess with the Quick Resume function on the home console.

I have almost all the games on Xbox, but I'm really tempted to get Kiwami on Switch in a future sale.

That's a big relief. I hope they follow the trend started by Microsoft of unifying their gaming library across every future device going forward.

I'm guessing the Switch 2 will be revealed at the end of the fiscal year, by the last week of March with its release scheduled around September.

As for the original Switch, I want it to surpass the PS2 (as we all do). I hope it goes on sale during the holiday season with new bundles and a pretty strong marketing. Of course, it will still keep selling even after the release of its successor, but this holiday will be the last big opportunity to make the most of it.

I understand the intention behind something like that, but I've transitioned to 100% digital anyway. I mean, as long as the games remain installed on my storage device, even if they remove them from the storefronts, I still will be able to play them.

I really hope Switch 2 will be more creative than this.

I'm a fan of these games. Have played both Trace Memory on DS and Another Code on Wii and will get the remake for Switch. The only thing I didn't like while playing the demo was Ashley's movement, it should have a more natural animation.

@Nintendencies Dude, my Switch library is totally digital. If Nintendo didn't include digital games on backwards compatibility, I would simply not sell my current Switch and probably wouldn't buy the new console for a few good years (or ever).

I really, really hope they add full backwards compatibility on the new system.

@arabiansanchez I agree that Nintendo doesn't need to prove anything, but I would love to see Sony lose their crown. Of course this would depend on Nintendo's next moves. Switch is still strong now, but when the numbers start dropping they could cut its price and release a Nintendo Selects line of products and maybe postpone the unveiling of the next gen console. Is that what Nintendo wants though? I honestly think it's not...

Regarding the new update, I didn't like how they changed the lightning power up so that players don't drop anymore while gliding...

@diwdiws I don't have a good PC for gaming. Also when I said standard I meant that nothing should be lower than 60fps anymore. I recently played Dragon Quest XI on Game Pass and even though the game isn't graphically demanding, it still ran at 30fps. It was kind of shocking at first, but after a while we end up get used to it.

@Mgalens I really hope 60fps will be the standard in the future. I like it even in videos! 😂

While 30fps isn't unplayable, it's hard to go back after you get used to 60 being standard. If the Switch version were 1080p 30fps or 720p 60fps, I would get it there. But I think I'll get the Xbox version instead.

@nymbosox I've seen a few, and watched Capcom's presentation last month. Let's hope they finally remake Code Veronica after RE4!

I would love to have this game on Switch, this kind of game is perfect to be played on a handheld. But will initially get it on Xbox instead due to it being 60 fps. Maybe in the future I'll double dip when it is on a huge sale on Switch.

If it ever releases on Switch or its successor it'll be another cloud version. That is, if they don't reveal it's coming only on Playstation. Don't get your hopes up.

The only thing I worry about is the next hardware having backwards compatibility. Microsoft is doing it in a brilliant way in order to the customers preserve their libraries, and that's how I think Nintendo should be addressing this matter.
