Proud to be the sole person who has ranked this game, but it's a great little game and way more people should play it!!

I, too, played without motion controls, it’s way more precise and let’s you experience the depth of the fighting mechanics. I played Arms for a solid year after I bought it, but then moved on to other games. I love it and hope we see a sequel some day!!

Re: Talking Point: Do We Still Need Review Scores?

I think it would be a good idea for you to re-review certain games over time, since day 1 issues are usually fixed with patches and the whole games as a service trend is starting to become a staple with some franchises. But definitely keep the scores, I like 'em!

Re: Fans Are Calling Out Nintendo And Camelot For "Lazy" Mario Tennis Aces

Couldn't agree more. Yes, the gameplay is great, but you can definitely feel they cut corners in pretty much everything else. The Adventure Mode is fine to me, but not being able to retry challenges or the missing gems definitely threw me off. Also, there's absolutely no incentive to replay Cups once you beat them, no unlockables, no trophies, no rating, nothing. Also, the music is pretty much the same throughout every match. As much as I felt Arms could have used more content, at least what was there was very polished, not the case with Mario Tennis. After 10+ hours of gameplay I'm out of incentives to keep coming back.

Re: Parent Trap: Nintendo Switch Takes on Tablets

@iGEn I hope it has touch controls too but it seems strange that the video never showed anyone touching the screen. Also, when you play at home you can't really use the screen because it's docked and shut off, so it's definitely possible there might not be a touch screen at all.

Re: Dylan Cuthbert Voices His Thoughts on Star Fox Zero

SFZ isn't a game you can just grab and play, but once you get used to the controls (and I admit it took a while) you realize how much more immersive they can be. For the most part, the missions are fun and varied and the game is polished and charming. I hope its commercial failure doesn't mean we have to wait another decade for another Star Fox game.

Re: Editorial: Rediscovering the Gems of the Wii U Library

I agree, the Wii U has definitely been a case of quality over quantity. I think Smash Bros, Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon form a perfect trifecta of multiplayer greatness, and single player experiences like Bayonetta 2, Pikmin 3 and Mario 3D World (I didn't play it in multiplayer) are all stellar. I'm even a sucker for Wonderful 101 and Star Fox Zero, though they're not as popular. And the eShop has a great amount of gems too!
