@Trikeboy me defensive? Quite the opposite, actually. Tell me though, doesn't it sound salty that a person with a Pokémon* profile picture shoots down actual constructive criticism of the series as "biased"? Can you not see the irony? That was the point, not the fact that you knew the video or not. If you've seen it and still think the video is biased, well, I don't know what to add. I don't really like the channel either, but it's hard to disagree with the points he raises.
*Of course it'd be the same for any other franchise.
@Trikeboy so a video you haven't seen by a channel you don't know is "clearly biased" but your comment dismissing it is not? 😂 Is a general knowledge channel biased about Pokémon, or is it the random dude on a Nintendo forum with a Pokémon profile pic?
Not to mention all the other buzzkills who consider a fan-made animation made by one dude in his bedroom nothing impressive, and then defend antiquated animations made by dozens of experienced professionals with a potentially infinite budget 😂
God I really hope it isn't true cause another 2D platformer is not what the Switch needs for sure. I mean, there's already Tropical Freeze, wouldn't it make more sense to make Odyssey 2 or a 3D platformer if you wanna go the DK route. Idk, I'd be super p*ssed if they shot down a 3D platformer for a 2D one.
Not that I expected anything good, but that snippet sure is enough for me to hard pass. Boy do I hate those vocaloid things that are all over the place nowadays, they're so annoying and unbearable.
Yeah cause more COD is definitely what we need over more Spyro or Crash lol And I'm not even a Crash or Spyro fan, I don't even like them but they would be way more needed than more COD right now.
@ok1 "It is still enjoyable, because the Pokémon themselves are so interesting to look at; it’s just not wildly exciting. It’s a laid-back game and one that offers many hours of gentle photographic research to anyone drawn to Pokémon’s weird world – whether you’re a veteran of 90s Pokémania, or a nine-year-old."
I don't know, I don't see any negative comments in this statement. It's literally saying that a chill game is laid back, the horror.
It's so funny seeing fanboys up in arms ready to tear down the Guardian when it just said that it's "a laid-back game" 😂 Seriously, what's wrong with you?
Wow, Nier in top spot is something I would've never thought. Crazy, awesome, and absolutely wholesome. I haven't got it day one as I very rarely do, but once my backlog is lighter I'll definitely get it. Automata is in my all-time top 3.
@Arkay nobody's forcing you to take it, that's what the nutcases don't get. The day the law forces you to take the vaccine come back to me; as it stands now, there's a lot of imbeciles crying freedom but it's a voluntary shot.
Do whatever you want with your body, just accept that there are consequences to your choices, be them take it or don't take it.
"Remove everyone's ability to voice their opinion"
Dude I'm asking to keep sensitive stuff out of a Nintendo fansite, because there's a thing as a proper time and place. Let me check....yes, that's definitely North Korea's wet dream, you're right 👍🏻 Sorry but until people reply with such moronic and ridiculous leaps of logic we'll really get nowhere.
@ryancraddock by the way you're freaking irresponsible putting this out and keeping the comment section open. You shouldn't even have posted such a useless article to begin with, since it's clear that the proportion of controversy and potential harm is way higher than the actual information you've given us. For crying out loud, many articles are insufferably useless, but this risks being harmful. Surely you don't want children reading conspiracies on your Nintendo fan site?!
@mr12calvin you're in fact so good at finding the actual good information and avoiding "what they want you to think" that you didn't even take a minute to check if Einstein actually said that (surprise surprise, it is attributed to him and many others, but there's no direct source). Way to research mate! Hope you put a little more effort in the actually important stuff, like, y'know, your health and how the world works.
Cologalina must be the weirdest word I've ever heard lol
The Japanese are really talented at putting together words that sound vaguely like another language, but nonsense at the same time, like Infinity Strash or Intergrade.
Well, this is 100 times that 😂
Being Italian, I can't help relating it to "collo" (neck) and "gallina" (hen) lol
@BloodNinja you're welcome mate, it's always a pleasure recommending stuff I like! Have a good one my friend, hope you enjoy 😃 Guess I'll boot it up for a level as well ahahah
@BloodNinja you can skip the cutscenes, but for now I'll say I personally found them pretty brief and to the point. Also, the animation is very good, and reminiscent of early noughties CN shows like Samurai Jack.
The first 3 or so stages are a bit tutorialized to get you to learn the basics, but soon enough you'll be starting a level, choosing your upgrades and playstyle (among the unlockables you get for certain milestones) and off you go.
Also, you're free to explore the level as much as you want and engage (or otherwise) with the optional objectives, based on your completionism and interest.
@BloodNinja playing it at the moment, and it's freaking awesome. Probably the best "pure" stealth game ever made, purely on the basis of how they handle feedback on the status of your character, the enemies, lights, sounds, etc.. It's a game where, when you lose, it's because you screwed up.
I'd say look it up on YT, Purposeless Rabbitholes for example has a good video about it!
Yeah every mention of this game saddens me to no end, Uprising 2 would be one of my most wanted sequels but unfortunately I don't see it happening, like ever.
If noone at Nintendo wants to do it, Platinum would be such a perfect fit for this game.
@N64-ROX thanks! Yeah the art style is definitely intriguing to me, but I never understood how it plays lol It seems to me that it's a relaxing "experience" more than a mechanics-driven game, right?
Pan-Pan is a tiny little puzzle adventure you can complete in one setting, with a very soothing, colorful presentation. Nothing special, but if you're in the mood for something like that it's worth it at 80% off.
Can anyone recommend (or otherwise) Shelter Generations? It always intrigued me but I'm not sure.
I really dislike this kind of crossovers, they kinda cheapen the characters they're using IMO.
Having real life footballers along Predator, Spiderman and Master Chief simply doesn't make any sense, there's no rhyme or reason as to how characters are selected outside of how much money they'll rake in.
This is what I really dislike about Fortnite, it's that it just doesn't have a personality or style, it's just a blender for all the most popular brands to be crammed in and slobbered onto unsuspecting children in the hope they'll take the bait.
You must be really brave, if you're making a best of guide and you're leaving out DQ IV&V (among the best in the series), yet you put in the travesty that is Sonic Chronicles.
I mean I always knew NL isn't the place for incredibly thought out deep dives cause you have different priorities as a site, but geez this really makes it hard to take you seriously to be honest.
Yeah, I'll line up with the others and say that demo was one of the worst things I've ever played. Seriously, I just cannot fathom how an experienced team led by a veteran can be so out of touch as to release this travesty and think it's fine.
It kills me to see this as I've always loved 3D platformers and those are so rare these days...this game certainly ain't gonna help with the perception of 3D platformers in general, that's for sure.
@Kanbei exactly, that was super surprising to me as well! But as you said, there was the PS4 version on sale for 2 years prior to the release of XI S, so that + digital sales might explain it. Overall, I've read it has sold over 6 million copies worldwide, which is great!
Btw I'm really glad Pikmin 3 managed half a million in a few months, only physical, and just in Japan. Surely that will mean Pikmin 4 one day?!
@AgentGuapo thanks for the feedback! If and when they port it to Switch I'll make sure to check it out 👍🏻 I have a PC as well but I really like JRPG's on handhelds, so that would be awesome.

@SalvorHardin ???
DK, NSMBU, all the Kirbys, 3 Yoshi games, Hey! Pikmin, Zip Lash...
and I'm probably forgetting some.
Re: HAL Laboratory Looking Forward To Sharing Kirby's "Next Phase" With Fans
After decades of retreading familiar ground, it's high time Nintendo tried some more 3D.
They've made more than enough 2D platformers this decade.

Duuuude that had me rolling lol
Re: Sega Will Start Selling NFTs Based On Its IPs This Summer
NFT, for how I understand it at the moment, sounds like the most uselessly capitalist thing that exists.
Selling nothing for a profit while destroying the planet? Basically a neoliberal's wet dream.
Re: DOOM Eternal's Toys Are Being Made Into Real-Life Collectibles
Yeah I've always eyed them jealously when I saw them on Hugo and Joshua's stream, but they're way more expensive than I thought 😐
