I can not stand buying digital, I like to have my physical copy because I enjoy collecting. My Nintendo doesn't really work for people like me.

@3MonthBeef So what I'm hearing from you is that Nintendo should charge use more for a system that isn't going to be as powerful and might not have to 3rd party support. The reason people are complaining about this rumored price is that we know that it's not going to succeed at that price.

At that price, no way! And Nintendo will forget the Wii U or Wii name if they know what's best for them.

Rumors are getting more and more accurate every console generation, so at this point it's safe to assume that every reasonable rumor is true. Like this one, and the handheld/home system hybrid. I remember before the Wii U was announced the rumors were all about the second screen, and we all know how that went.

It's safe to assume that this happens to everyone. That's why I get a new HDD every now and again just to be safe. I couldn't imagine this happening to me😱

I never stopped playing. I've almost logged 1000 hours playing this game. I'm also looking to visit other people's town, so if you want, hit me up (seriously all this time and my town still doesn't have apples😒)

@Henmii I agree, but there must be a reason for such a big delay. And yes, the Wii u version is most likely cancelled.

@Henmii or the extra time will go into making it better then Mighty no9? I think it's good when a game gets delayed like this. Sure it sucks that you have to wait, but at least you know the developers are putting real time into making it something good.

Alright everyone, I'm a changed man! I hereby side with the idea that the NX isn't using Tegra chips. Good arguments were made, but now that I think about it more it makes since that something might've been mentioned in the investors meeting. But, I'm sure it's safe to assume that everyone with an opinion on this site is human, which means everyone might be wrong. I'm also completely done with these rumors about the NX.

I could careless if the NX uses Tegra chips, and I don't see a point in everyone getting so crazy about it. I don't trust anyone being a company investment meeting or a Nintendo news website. People can say whatever works in there benefit.

@BLPs I understand that now, and I completely agree. But I'm also hearing that they never said that they had no plans. It's just a theory, but look at Dragon Quest X, it was reveled to be on the NX early on, then Square Enix had to go back and do damage control. And it was just recently re-announced for the NX. We all know how Nintendo is, the are super secretive about everything they're doing till they are ready. If Nintendo is using Tegra chips, I'm sure they don't want Nivida talking about it. Again, it's just a theory.

@Aeleron0X they could just be saying that because Nintendo wasn't all information on this thing to stay on the down low.

I think this would be great, as long as it's done right and it's at a good price, it's a day one pick up for me😀.

To all the people who are saying to all the Metroid fans who are rightfully upset by this that this game isn't for them, needs to think why it has the Metroid name. If this Metroid game wasn't made for the Metroid fans, then what's the point of even calling it a Metroid game. Nintendo needs to know that this is not what Metroid fans want. And if that means that the fans have to let Nintendo take this lose, then so be it. Remember people, you can vote with your wallet.

@Hokanchu Metroid is 30 years old, Mario wasn't even 10 by the time the first Mario Kart came out. Now, if you really want to upset some Mario fans, take a game, put a random guy in it as your main character, now put that random guy in a world that looks like the generic version of the Mushroom Kingdom, and call it a Mario game. Now that will set some fires.

@buildz If you want another F-Zero, then make your voices heard. They're not going to make something they don't know anyone wants. Thanks to the backlash from this, we Metroid fans might be seeing a new (real) Metroid game before you see a new F-Zero game.

@kingofthesofa I get what your saying as far as them not making this game for everyone, but do you think they should've used the Metroid name? This game is as much a Metroid game as Tempole Run is Crash Bandicoot.

@MrMario02 I agree, I still wouldn't get it just because it doesn't look good. But the fact it bares the Metroid name, was a huge slap in the face for fans who have been waiting years for a new title.

Sorry, but I still stand by my opinion that this is not a Metroid game by heart. Nintendo could've named this game anything else, but in an attempt to attract more sales, they called it Metroid. The characters are as generic as they could get, and if you ask me, this game is going to turn out to have a strange past development, and watch it be a completely different game when development first started. I tryed the blast ball demo, and it was awful. I will most definitely shun this game for all time.

@DoctorOverbuild No really, that is if the NX is a handheld, then the X1 is the perfect chip for the job. It also has a lot to do with price, like when the 3DS lunched at 249.99 (USD) and it bombed. They need to keep the average consumer in mind when it comes to pricing, and those who don't know the difference between an X1 and X2 chipset.

Let's remember that X1 is somewhere between PS3 and PS4 in terms of graphical fidelity. And if the NX is Nintendo's next gen handheld (with home console features) then I'd say that is one powerful system (for handhelds.) Also, I'm sure Nintendo would be able to get every bit of power out of that chip to make the games look even better. For me, it comes down to price, and if Nintendo can make great experiences with the cheaper X1 chip, then that'll be AWSOME.

So wait, if Disney is leaving the video game publishing business, what does that mean for Kingdom Hearts?

I thank Mr. Iwata for all that he has done to make Nintendo my favorite gaming company. He was always my favorite big wig in the gaming industry. RIP my good sir. ;. (

In my opinion, the sooner the Wii U is replaced the better (for Nintendo.) But I highly doubt a July 2016 release. Maybe a November or December launch.

@urfriendktt Look, I'm not getting into this again with anyone. As far as I'm concerned it's a spin-off, we did not want a spin-off, so there for I could careless if this game was wiped off the face of the Earth.

This Is my final comment regarding this topic. I'm not buying it. I think it's a quick cash grab by Nintendo and that it shouldn't bare the Metroid name. This game aside, Nintendo as a whole is in trouble. They are losing the confidence of the mass gaming community and their image is "oh, they make baby games" Unless they come out swinging next year with the NX the future of Nintendo is questionable. I will not buy the NX at launch like I did with the Wii U and if the NX is filled with gimmicks I will not buy it at all.

@DreamOn, so basically we are being selfish because we aren't respecting the opinion of the people who do like game...Right... That's still not being selfish.
