@Mikes, you have a good point. It could make a good FPS for the 3DS. But it doesn't need to be called Metroid. "SUPER FUN,SHOOT AT THINGS 3D!" is what I've been calling it.

@DreamOn Selfishness! Really! Nintendo isn't doing use any favors. If they were giving the game as a free eshop and people were still upset than sure it would be selfish. But the fact that they are going to charge us $40 for a spin-off of a game that we have been wait years for doesn't make us selfish.

@JaxonH, That's something a lot of people are finding it hard to understand. We didn't want a spin-off. And Nintendo has had plenty of time to make Prime 4.

I'm not saying this can't be a good game. Hell, it might end up being the best FPS on the 3DS, my problem it that it's not the Metroid game the fans have been begging for for years now. And the fact that they haven't even started a new proper Metroid game makes me feel like Nintendo is giving me and the rest of its Metroid fans the middle finger.

@GrizzlyArctos, I don't even care about this game as much as I care about the fact that Reggie says that he knows what we want. Well, does he know That we have been asking for a new Metroid game for years now. And that people have been saying how cool it would be to have a HD Metroid game even before the Wii U was a thing. And instead of "listening" to use, they give use this. That's why Metroid fans are so upset.

I really wish he would stop bringing up the Wind Waker. At least Wind Waker was a true Zelda game at heart.

This "Metroid" game isn't a Metroid game. The problem is that it bares the name METROID, they could have called it Super fun, shoot at things 3D, and everything would be fine. The only reason they named it Metroid is to try to sell more copys and everyone knows it.

I don't know why everyone thinks it's a good idea to put a CD, DVD, blue-ray function on nintendo's next system. More and more people are using streaming survices like Netflix and Amazon instent video. There is really no point to add it now. Sure, DVD/CD on the wii would have been nice but it's pointless now. And it would make the system cost more.

I call my Wii U a nintendo simply because i think it sounds better than Wii U (and no i did not play nintendo in the 90s)

or now that i think of it, i can just get the older wii version! HURRAY BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY!!!!

I think it's a good idea. My Gameboy screen is fading and it would be nice to update it.

It doesnt matter anymore. It just wouldve been nice to have it on the wii u. i guess im just going to half to keep playing simcity DS : (

@MrGawain, If i remember currectly. The WII U wasnt even out in 2011 so sales wasnt the problem. And it has nothing to do with EA's feelings about Nintendo because the PS3 and XBOX 360 versons was also cut.

NOOOO!! DANM IT! that would have been fantastic! I love Simcity : (. Now my day really sucks because i was thinking as to when they were going to make simcity for the wii u just the other day. Now I know my dreams will never come true... Well, lets hope they change their mind or make a new one for 3DS.

I'm sure the XBOX One did vary well. However, the fact that only 180,000 people shared their data then who knows? maybe the wii u did better or the ps4. I taughted when i saw how the data was collected.

it's kind of a double negative. If we dont buy it than that's telling 3rd party developers that wii U is no good. BUT at the same time if we do support it than we are telling 3rd party developers that we except poor ports of good games on other systems. What is a nintendo fan to do! :

i have the ps3 version of minecraft but i always wanted something i could take with me. to me this is perfect!

im happy about this. It might not run as good as minecraft but it still seems fun. and minecraft doesnt give you guns. lol

its only a matter of time for wii u.once the next gen (xbox one,ps4) comes out and the older systems are no longer supported the wii u will most likely sell more than ps4 and xbox one. because wii u will be the cheapest and have the most games and in my opinion it also has the best games.

i love Nintendo and super Mario but i dont see me spending $40 for a downloadable game even if its super Mario ill just buy it at gamestop.

however it would be nice if it did come out next month lol.

i can care less about a new 3ds.the real news i want to see is wii u price.

if there is going to be a new nintendo 3ds ,im not getting it eney time soon.Because i am happy with my original 3ds system.

nintendo has always had the price advantage so i don't think its going to be much more then playstation 3 and xbox 360.That's just what im thinking.

my most memorial moment in the zelda series is the final battle with Ganondorf in THE LEGEND OF ZELDA OCARINA OF TIME.....simply amazing

this price cute now makes the vita the more expensive one giving nintendo a better advantage this generation.
