@Switch_Pro Super Mario Run was made with Unity. This is big for Unity, but not for gamers. Devs, this is another good opportunity to checkout Godot!

@Deanster101 Calm down, some of us big-handed people rely on these things. I'm literally waiting to transfer my ACNH island to my new OLED until I find a grip that works for my hands.

Thanks for this review! I'll be trying this one out. I wish RDS Industries would make an updated grip for the OLED. I love their grip on my OG Switch.

Sweet! I've been loving mine. I've enjoyed it with the Mega Man collection, Sonic Mania, Undertale, and the NES games.

I was hoping to use these with Sonic Mania to give me at least one sustainable reason to keep them in a post-NSO world.

I hope someday smart fans find a way to bring Miiverse back online.

This won't be the last Wii U game.

About a week ago my local Best Buy had about 20 SNES Classics stacked between the Switch and 3DS games.

I'm playing through Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess HD as a sort of 'side quest' to Breath of the Wild. I want to buff up my Wolf Link amiibo.

I might've bought it on Wii U at that price...

@olrodlegacy My childhood copy of Mario vs DK has been lost for a decade, but I still have the box and manual! I had been thinking I wanted to rebuy the cart, but Mini Mario & Friends Amiibo Whatsit really fills the void nicely. If you already happen to own the $100+ worth of the figures... >.>

This is the only game that would make me run out and buy a Switch

I've been using mine with 8bitdo Retro Receivers with an actual NES. I love it. Sad to hear it won't work with the classic edition.

@nesrocks Could you elaborate on "the sound emulation is garbage"? I'm listening to it and it sounds fine to me.

@Sabrewing Take the A-Train 3DS is more of a city simulator than I could handle, though Lionel City Builder was.... Well, I bought it and played it really hard once and never again. Lionel Trains on Track DS was the best Nintendo-system train simulator/manager I've played yet.

@c1pher_c0mplet Terraria also gets a noticeable framerate upgrade on N3DS, so 3 games! Still bad.

@teucer lol, you're right I am a bit sensitive about it, but I assure you I know Nintendo's hardware history, my first comment was more of a worry about where they are headed. Battery life on a day-to-day basis is not my concern, it's overall lifespan and how difficult it is to replace. Most tablets will be garbage in a few years b/c you have to break their screens to get to their batteries, my fear is that with Nintendo partnering with mobile hardware manufacturer's we may start to see some of those crappy practices.

@teucer It matters b/c I don't buy trash. When I buy a Nintendo console I can depend on it working for a long time. My NES is still hooked up at our main TV, along with the Wii U and gaming PC. If the battery is not user-replaceable, in 10-15 years that battery is going to be completely useless, and many mobile devices will not boot if their battery is completely kaput. I've gotten 30 years out of this NES, 20 years out of my N64, and 13 from my SP, and 10 out of my Wii. They are all still used at least once a month. Replaceable batteries ARE A MUST for the gamer whose backlog spans 30 years, because I may not get a particular game for a few decades ^.^; Just beat Twilight Princess for the first time on Wii, and it was fantastic btw

User replaceable batteries? - almost all tablets lack this very important feature. Nintendo has good history with this, but this is new territory.

@Exy I'm betting mods for this thing will require soldering; I had thought about it too, but I think if I manage to get one at all I will keep it pure for collectors reasons. If I want a hack box I can use an Ouya or a Raspberry Pi.

I had it pre-ordered for Wii U, but since they can't get the DLC on my preferred system, I can wait until it's $20 next year.

I really love the pack, but I wish it was a little more particular about when it plays what music. Boo's Haunt music is weird in the overworld during day. Bob-omb Battlefield is awesome though!

I tried to get into Terraria a few times now, and honestly the 3DS version is the first one to actually engage me. It's really fun!

@MrGawain Perhaps if you own the game on Wii U (or 3DS) you will automagically get it on the NX with only the dlc you've purchased, and the 'port' sku is for new customers and comes with all dlc or whatever.

I just released my first game in Unity for OUYA! It's exciting to think that my next project might be available on my two favorite platforms, Wii U and 3DS.

@BarryDunne @DoctorOverbuild If Vita got the shaft because of its low install base, it's not unlikely that the Wii U release would suffer a similar fate.
