Re: Nintendo Details Switch, Wii U And 3DS Network Maintenance Across August And September

@BrintaPap I'm in Canada and tracked down an SP AGS-101 for around $100...took a while to get one that wasn't scratched to hell, ha. They were truly the most pocket friendly gameboy (in my opinion), but kids took them everywhere and they have the scars to show it. There are some cool cheap GBA carts on Ebay, you just have to check the reviews to make sure it's good quality. I played an English fan translation of Mother 3 that way and it was awesome. $15 I think for the cart? There's also FF 4/5/6 carts with restored sound (SNES quality), and I want to get my hands on those. I obviously like having authentic, but I got a CIB copy of Metroid: Zero Mission...$100 was a good deal eyeroll. They have skyrocketed in price in the past 5 years. Same with GameCube games. I'm kind of stoked I live more rural now (but still a small city), because the bros here don't know the worth of their games as much. In the city everything just matches online going rates.

XFD sorry for that meandering rumination !

@SoManyHaveDied Along with that, they have unrealistic expectations. I already buy too many games and do not beat them. I am not amazing with my finances, and I am sure plenty of people are far worse. Or they are children, complaining. I started working as a kid so I could buy the games, books and music I wanted...I realized at 19 I was overextending myself on the media I was purchasing.

I have been saying for years that games are less expensive than ever. They haven't inflated like so many other things. Here in Canada, Kmart sold Dr. Mario for NES for $80. I remember some N64 games cranked up to $80 around 2000/2001. I recall during the GameCube Era, many games went down by $10 when the American and Canadian dollar were more at par.

Re: Series Producer Suggests Metroid Prime 4 'Won't Ignore Casual Players'

Who knows what any of this implies. As far as Tanabe goes, I don't understand the hate - look at all the game credits under his belt. He has not 'ruined' many games or series, save for the directions that Paper Mario has taken since the 3DS...although Origami King seems to right some of peoples grievances, it still ignores peoples main ones (battle system firstmost).

If the Metroid Prime series is 'more accessible', I hope it's only in the ways that MP3 was 'more accessible'. While I found the gameplay quite a bit easier than MP1 and especially MP2, it was still an amazing game, while being a bit more accessible to the average player. Still, I found MP1 had the best balance (I'm a gamer that enjoys hard games, but can't beat extreme games).
