Haven't seen anyone else point out that this is the 3rd Castlevania game that came out on GB - they sure are odd with only releasing certain games in series. The first one is by far the worst, and people like the design of the second one the most generally. Nice to have Legends available, but just odd! Like usual!

I had Quest For Camelot on GBC as a kid. And let me tell you. It was trash. I played it as much as possible and got the the final boss. But good lord, it played terribly compared to the standards set by Zelda.

RIP to my copy of Fire Emblem Path of Radiance.

Stoked on these two though, two of the best.

I'm very partial to pixel art, but I read a lot of great reviews of the DS remake. After playing it, I think I prefer it. The little thought bubbles on the pause screen are great, the voice acting is surprisingly good, and same with the cutscenes!

I did it on my old NES, so it must've been when I was pretty young.

I'm so glad an exec ACTUALLY has something important like this in mind. Nintendo would be shooting themselves if they don't at this point... I've bought the same games so many times since the Wii.

Nobody discusses the clearest shortcomings of this game. I loved it as a kid but put it down after I bought the milking room. What's the point after buying it? It's the most expensive item in the game and it generates more product for you to sell, but you've already bought everything. Thus, there's literally nothing to do in the game but huck your toddler up and down a few times a day until you die.

@DrGonzo I will direct you to 1:06 in the video. Understandable if it's not up to your standard - it would be far better to have an option that simply reads 'NES', 'GBA', 'Wonderswan', 'PSP' etc. Still, you can slide the encouter rates, exp, ABP and Gil to more difficult options.

@DrGonzo you can see in a screen in the video that you can change the battle mechanics to be harder.

@theModestMouse could see you trying to make that point for the overworld, although there are differences, but you can't really make that point for the battle screens.

Ahhhhh, font changes and ability to switch music. I love the new arrangements, but also love the originals. That's awesome, I hope they're updated for PC too. I finally beat FFI for the first time. I'm sure it was a fair bit easier than playing the actual original, but it was just nice to experience.

1st one, original model, but the Zelda OoT edition. Lost it on a train in Vietnam sadly.

2nd one was the original XL, Yoshi edition. Really liked that one. Sold it to a friend.

3rd one I had to get so I'd still have a 3DS and wanted the New 3DS. They were getting a bit tougher to find and I snagged a Galaxy edition before they really started climbing in price.

@Eel calling this one a 'classic' is definitely down to personal perspective. it was extremely popular, and I played a ton of it as a kid. I got frustrated with it because once you buy the milking room, there's nothing left to buy.

@imgrowinglegs true, good point. yes, I suppose I'd be more impressed if he did that next step of then having them on hard-drives, but that might be a bit more controversial.

@Sam_TSM I was surprised by how small the window was to get one at retail price. I snagged a Galaxy New 3DS right before all the used ones started skyrocketing.

While it's cool that this person has the $$$ to do this, people are correct that he is not preserving the files. They are locked to his system and will vanish when the system dies.

Glad there're still some relevant NES games that can come out, there are still some glaring omissions from the SNES catalogue. Sweet on the gameboy games!

I was overlooking the performance issues for the first month simply because I was enjoying myself. Now they're a little more obvious (it runs like butt lol).

I really want different sort options for the PC Boxes. Please just let me click something to sort them by #, type, etc.

GBA SP and DS Lite are top tier portables.

My money's on this being buggy and having hilarious issues. The original was charming as a kid, but it had a toonnn of weird translations and completely useless areas. Marvelous isn't going to magically become more thorough.

I just assume this game will have nothing to do in it after buying the milking room like the original. Still loved it for a long time as a kid, but I was pretty annoyed with how there was nothing left to do after buying the farm upgrades.

Guess I'm just a geek for this stuff, since I grabbed Sleeping King recently and Tunic. Fun stuff!

I had a great time playing this game as a kid...until I built the milking room. After that, there was nothing to buy, even though the milking room's purpose was to make more milk, thus more money. Basically, I had bought everything and my kid was still a toddler. There was nothing to do!

@jtwrenn idk we used to pay $80 for games in the 80s with major slowdown. and we liked it. even the original Pokemon was a bloody glitchy mess. and it was amazing.

I'm enjoying the game, as many are. You are perfectly within your rights to consider it a turd. I personally research items before buying them and understand whether or not it will suit me. I do not buy games and act shocked by its performance when it has been reported on very thoroughly, and those performace issues are not enough of an issue, personally, for me. Stay well.

I'm sorry, but working in retail and having someone say 'I bought this without any research at all, now I don't like it!' is extremely annoying.

@jtwrenn Where did I call people idiots? Seems like pretty practical advice to simply not purchase a game for the first few days if you're concerned about performance issues that were reported on immediately and before release.

@5th313ment it's a video game. Literally wait 3 days, you don't need to buy it day 1. Thanks for the wall of text suggesting you're not capable of this.

I mean I get frame drops constantly, let's be realistic here lol. But I knew what I was getting into and I'm having a great time.
