I fully support this and think it's amazing. I don't care hugely about graphics and whatnot, but there are certain games that I would like to see the 'full' beauty of. I love my Switch and PC, so this is a godsend, in my view. Would be nice if this could be patched in for DQXI but I doubt it! There are enough Steam sales and Switch sales that I don't have to blow full price on both versions.

Totally forgot about this, used to read the occasional updates in Nintendo Power!

Could never choose between PC and Switch for this. Guess I'll probably get it for both when it's on sale. That's really cool.

@BulkSlash Talk to all the kids whose parents stayed up all night beating Mario for them...not me, but I've heard a lot of tales from pals about their parents becoming obsessed with SMB3!

While I do hope that these types of mechanics are removed from games (what happened to wanting to develop a game with a dream team for fun?), I don't have much sympathy for the uncontrolled consumer. If it were a kid hijakcing his parents credit card, sure.

@oh_no_melon Commercials could easily show older fans (well, I'm 28) interacting with young fans. I love showing games to my coworkers kids at staff events. Like other commenters said, get some representation! That being said, I don't watch commercials....

That is damn beautiful. Wish I could be getting it, but I'm not dedicated to take the financial loss!

I have at least refrained from selling off my record collection...I've got all of the 60's Mothers of Inventions original pressings!

Same with Xenoblade Chronicles on Wii (still have that copy)....will probably end up getting it on Switch.

Like, I bought some collectible games like Conker's Bad Fur Day and then hardly played it. I can only value something I will actually return to and keep playing my whole life. I guess I just didn't have the history with it like other folks do. Whereas OoT, MM are accessible and better on 3DS (in my opinion, understandable if others feel differently).

I think the only game I sold and then rebought was Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver (originally got HG when it came out, sold it for over $100, just bought SS which I originally wanted for $110 Canadian). I like what I have between by PC, Switch and 3DS right now (along with SNES mini and PS2 to compliment). I am giving my Wii U loaded with Virtual Console games and a stack of physical Wii U/Wii games to my sister for her to enjoy since she just moved out for the first time.

I sold all of the N64 and Gamecube stuff (save for GC controllers)...I can only collect so much. We'll see what the future brings and whether or not I'll sell off the 3DS and Switch stuff. As long as I have access to a load of my favourite older games. That being said, the PC with 8bitdo controllers is quite serviceable. If I ever own a house and produce children, I'm sure I'll have a few old TVs with old consoles and 'essential' games lmfao.

@Zeldafan79 A friend did the 'cart wiggle' trick to show me that you can get out of Kokiri forest without the sword/shield when we were younger...was cool to witness.

As much as I make fun of all the Gokus in this game, I'm still excited. They all play differently enough and I adore this game.

As a Switch/PC gamer, I don't mind...I'm usually about 6 months to a year behind the curve anyhow - always putting off buying games until a sale or until I've beaten 3 others I've had on the go. If something is going to look significantly better on PC, I'll get it on Steam - most games are good enough on Switch for me, but I might do a game like this or Witcher 3 on PC for the sheer graphical impressiveness. I'm having a really hard time deciding with Dragon Quest XI...the 16-bit part is kind of a selling point on Switch, but the PC version will look quite a bit more impressive...

Definitely respect the choice, but I haven't played Three Houses yet! Hard was too Hard for me in Awakening...wish I had the patience. I got to like, chapter 5.

I was going to mention - besides having not picked up Luigi's Mansion 3, I still have to pick up Fire Emblem Three Houses as well...yikes!

I'm thankful there's not much I'm interested in until Animal Crossing! I've got a lot of games on my plate, and I still haven't picked up Luigi's Mansion. That one might wait a bit.

I'm excited for quite a few games, but Animal Crossing is all I REALLY need!

But I agree that one should always be forthright and not claim to have 'beaten' a game without mentioning that one used savestates

Certain games, I have the skill to play through. SMB3 for example. Other than that, I'm pretty useless in the 8bit era of difficult games. I just want to experience certain games - I don't have the patience to hone my skills to the necessary degree to beat it legit. It's nice being able to get through Zelda II in a decent amount of time - the bosses are still hard as hell with save states! I'm sure some oldschool gamers would beg to differ though, lol.

Even FFVII, I'm not playing through legit. I know I could, but it's such a time saver for a game that's a bit more old and clunky. I'd rather experience the innovative storyline in 2019/2020 - I can pass on some of the outdated mechanics. I have so many games on the go, it's nice to save some time on the older ones.

@PlayedNSlayed I wanted to keep things positive - I disagree with you. I'm currently enjoying the Mandalorian. Cheers to you if you are or aren't! Still have some small critiques, but I don't dwell too hard on my fantasy bang bang.

I find it odd that someone would complain about a game or show if they know it's not to their taste...just remember, there are better uses of your time folks!

@brunojenso This is what I thought when I saw this game a few months ago. Looks clunky. I love birds, and I love Tony Hawk. Hopefully it's better.

@Swizze I would personally say yes! It really caught my attention once I played it, and not too many games do that for me these days. Great music, challenging platforming with infinite lives, and amazing dialogue. It's got everything I want in a platformer, and I personally haven't played anything else with its mechanics (climbing, and the boot jump thing you do).

I've never paid attention to any of that stuff in Rocket League. I just play it and it's fun.

@Judal27 It's cheap as hell. I'd pay it if it was only for online. Anyone I see complaining about the service being 'garbage' or not up to their lofty standard seems like such a brat to me. The Switch online services allow me to play my games online, and I have access to a giant pile of games I have either already played, get to play for the 1st time, or probably don't even have time to play. I could nitpick the games I personally would like to see, but I already have dozens of games to play. Everyone is so spoiled for choice these days. $20 a year is garbage? I fart out $20 in the wink of an eye.

I still get the occasional Streetpass, it's fun. Still, I wish it was on my original 3DS that I lost on a train in Vietnam! Still playing my Switch a lot, but it's nice catching up on Pokemon White rn, and I have Samus Returns, FE: Awakening, Crystal, Ultra Sun and Chrono Trigger to play!

@Moonlessky This is true, I wish it did get one final price drop. I kept my eyes out for a 'New 3DS XL' for ages before I got a good deal - a few months back. The 2DSs are easy to come by for much less than they're sold for, but the New 3DS, not so much.

@PaperLucario Ah, quit beating around the damn bush. I personally don't give a hoot if Vic Mignogna is doing Broly's voice in this game or not, I'm excited for a new character to play. Personally, I see a whole lot of detailed stories correlating quite well. I've seen this happen in my personal life, with personal friends of mine, involving men in large social scenes. He's no Bill Cosby, but he's still a jackass who should learn a lesson. I'd be more open to seeing someone like Vic making a comeback after a few years of humbling self-work, but I really don't have much sympathy for him whatsoever. I've met other men with the attitude that all women have some universal primal urgency to be grabbed and forced into a romantic/sexual situation. "Thrown against the wall" as that guy I met put it.

I wish Dragon Ball FighterZ was in the top 5, at #2 imo . It's so quality and fun as hell.
