Re: Gallery: Yarn Yoshi Is Just Too Darn Cute

Zelda64L

@WiiChuck103 That alone did sell me on wanting one. I like this clever idea of having Amiibo be more than figures (much as I love the figures.) Cards are nice, but stuff like this is really clever in my eyes.

Re: Talking Point: What We Expect from Nintendo Direct - 1st April

Zelda64L

I understand ZeldaU being pushed back to 2016... but please give us something Nitnendo! If I'm correct, wasn't it confirmed that they will NOT be showing any ZeldaU at E3? Please just give us another 30-second trailer or a title or even artwork or screenshots during this direct. Or just tell us information about the game's mechanics or its story. ANYTHING at this point, Nintendo, ANYTHING.

Re: Feature: The Legend of Zelda on Wii U - What Do We Know So Far?

Zelda64L

@nesvc I suspect it will work in a similar fashion to The Wind Waker HD. It'd be cool if they included a Skyward Sword-esque Wiimote option along with the Gamepad and Pro-controller though, for the people who liked Skyward Sword's controls. I personally enjoyed Skyward Sword's controls, though I prefer traditional controls.
Just keep the gyroscope an option, please. I'll DIE without it.

Re: Feature: The Legend of Zelda on Wii U - What Do We Know So Far?

Zelda64L

@outburst FINALLY SOMEONE ELSE WHO HAS THIS PROBLEM. Whenever I've had to aim the bow, boomerang, etc., with an analog stick, I have the hardest time. One of my favorite things about the remakes for OoT, MM, and WW, as well as the Wii version of TP, is the gyroscope and motion-cotrol aiming. I don't know how ANYONE successfully played the shooting gallery mini-games with an analog stick.

Re: Feature: The Legend of Zelda on Wii U - What Do We Know So Far?

Zelda64L

It's a dang good thing I an into other series besides Zelda because my Kirby craze right now is one of the few things keeping me from breaking down Nintendo's door just for info. So, as of right now, I'm trying to ignore stuff for ZeldaU right now. I don't want to think about it till June. I'll die of anticipation if I do. Another thing, whenever something is annouced and then kept silent for a YEAR (though we had that gameplay demo that NO ONE was expecting) I tend to forget about it simply because there's nothing to ponder on after the first month of it's annoucement. The only exception being SSB4 and Hyrule Warriors, but's that's because both of those had constant updates on characters and stages and mechanics.

Re: Collector Cases for amiibo Secure Kickstarter Funding

Zelda64L

@Josaku I understand the whole idea behind keeping stuff factory sealed as far as collecting goes (because if it stays in it's original casing the item instantly becomes worth more than the some item OUT of it's case), but I'm not too sure why you'd want to even do that unless you plan on selling them eventually or you wanted it purely for display (some "collector" items are purely decorational, but with Amiibos, they honestly look best without the box even as decorations.).

Re: Viewtiful Joe Figure is Ready for His Close-up

Zelda64L

Viewtiful Joe and Okami related figures plus some super nice (or at least batter then the ones the have up) Mega Man figures. Phoenix Wright would be cool, but I prefer more dynamic figures an I'm not to sure AA:PW would have much in terms of dynamic poses. Who knows though?

Re: Club Nintendo in Japan is Full of Delightful Treats

Zelda64L

I just want every Club Nintendo soundtrack really. That's probably the one thing I get upset about not being anywhere but Japan are the soundtracks (though Europe got some too).
The Mario Kart 8, Kirby Triple Deluxe, and the A Link Between Worlds soundtracks are all ones NA missed (or at least as of right now) and I would die for all three of those (Along with many others). At least I got the Super Smash Bros. CD (I haven't gotten a email telling me if it's shipped yet though, it that unusual?) and I can't complain about missing the 2013 Majora's Mask C... I didn't have enough coins.

Re: Feature: Tales From the Front Line of amiibo Collecting

Zelda64L

I have a story about trying to find a Fox for my little brother:
My mom and I had been scouring all of Las Vegas to find Fox. We we able to secure the other Amiibo for my other brothers, but Fox was impossible. We where also looking for Super Smash bros. for 3DS for him and even that was nowhere to be found. We eventually found the game at the fourth Game Stop we checked, but at that point, it was just too late for us to search anymore because we had to do other things that night. It was CHRISTMAS EVE and we had a whole dinner and party to prepare for. It was CHRISTMAS EVE and we COULD NOT find Fox anywhere. My Dad was still out as well, though not with us, so we called him and asked him to keep searching as long as possible. And here's where the story really kicks in.
My Dad went into a Game Stop and asked if they had any Amiibo. The clerk laughed and said, "Are you looking for Marth?" my Dad replied no but said that he'd take a Marth at this point (Marth was the second Amiibo my brother wanted). The clerh laughed again and said, "Well, you might need a bigger wallet because he's going for a lot more than he think." My dad asked how much and was shocked when he heard the prices for Amiibo on Ebay. The clerk joked about selling it to my Dad for $900, and my Dad kindly turned him down. My Dad thus continued looking for Fox and asked about him, The clerk said that even he didn't have Fox yet and told him good luck on finding him. My Dad asked if there were any in the back, but the clerk said no without even checking. The manager happened to walk by, so my dad asked her and both she and the clerk took my Dad to the back room. The manager cut open a box of Amiibo and stated, "I really hope his in here, sir."
A few seconds of silence as the manager dug through the box and pulled out various Amiibos of Mario, Link, and Kirby. But soon, someone spoke up.
"Well, well, well..." The manager said, "Looks like we've got only one left."
The clerk looked on in horror as she passed the Fox to my Dad.
"NO WAY!" he litterally shouted, "We had one back here the whole time!"
"Sorry," the manager taunted, "First come, first serve."
And that's how my dad got my little bro a Fox Amiibo.

*Also, a little bonus. At the last Game Stop my Mom and I checked, one of the workers mentioned that another one had my on him, though he was saving it for his girlfriend. My Mom and I turned our heads so fast towards the worker who supposedly had the Fox and we started to barter with him to try and get it from him. XD

Re: Indie Title Bizerta: Silent Evil is Stalking its Way to Wii U

Zelda64L

@Mega719 They could've called the Super 3DS (playing on the standard one having Super Famicon buttons) or the Ultra 3DS or something.
I mean, anything other than 'new' that signifies it being updated and better than original.
Can you imagining asking for a new New Nintendo 3DS? Or asking the clerk at GameStop if the have any used New Nintendo 3DS? It's just weird saying the name is all.

Re: Video: Check Out Kirby's Adventure Wii on the Wii U eShop

Zelda64L

Gah, even though it's only a little over 3 years old, I have such good memories with this game! My three younger brothers and I got it for Christmas in 2011 and I'm so happy it is four-player because playing my brothers the whole time was great fun! It was my first traditional Kirby game (I had played Canvas Curse, Epic Yarn, and Mass Attack before I got Return to Dream Land.) so I was a little unaccustomed to Kirby's copy abilities. I always played as Bandana Dee instead because I though he looked adorable and spear was one of my favorites. Not to mention, I didn't have to worry about losing his abilty if I got hurt. Geez, my brothers and I played that game to death. And our reactions toward the end reveal was just great! We all really felt betrayed.
Such a great game and I'm so glad I got it when I did since everyone else seems to be saying that it's hard to find and the prices for it are so high.

Re: Talking Point: New Nintendo 3DS, Operation Faceplate NA and the Bigger Picture

Zelda64L

The New Nintendo 3DS is something really needed in America. Not everyone wants giant screens that can't fit in their pockets. The size and faceplates are what attracts me to the standard version, but unfortunately, NoA decided we shouldn't have a choice.
And what about little kids who want a 3DS for their birthday? The XL simply doesn't fit in their hands!

Re: Meta Knight amiibo Hits Best Buy in US on 20th February

Zelda64L

DAMNIT! I can't go out on the 20th! I'm going out this Friday for Majora's Mask and hopefully I'll find some Amiibos but I was REALLY hoping Meta Knight would be later so I'd have chance. Should've expected this date though since Rainbow Curse does come out on the 20th... guess now I'll have to import both Meta Knight AND Rosalina. sigh

Re: Club Nintendo Goes Rewards Crazy With Final Update in North America

Zelda64L

I want the posters so bad but I only a select few from each set! I only really care about the Paluntena one in SSB4 set 1, I only really want Shulk in the SSB4 set 2 (I kinda like the Bowser Jr. one too and the Duck Hunt one is pretty cool looking so i might actually bite on the second set), and I only want the Wind Waker HD poster in the 2013 poster set. having another 3DS game case would be nice, and another Zelda one at that sounds nice. The Animal Crossing cards look adorable, though they're lower on my To Get list. The Majora's Mask bag looks really 'meh' for my tastes, especially the black design on a black bag. The Fierce Deity puzzle seems really cool for me, so i will probably get that.
Though I really wish we had gotten a Majora's Mask 3D poster set with the artwork used for the game's boxart, the one with Skull Kid in the forest, and the one with Fierce Deity

Re: Video: This Guy Loves Nintendo Way More Than You Do

Zelda64L

My goal is to one of each NA Nintendo System and Handhelds, all the games for each system (that I'm interested in at least. I want to get games that I'm going to actually play), and then some collectible stuff like figures and poster and Club Nintendo rarities and all that. I want an awesome gaming room when I get old enough to have my own place, but I don't want so many systems. Just one of each please.

Re: First 4 Figures Opens Pre-Orders For Its New Wind Waker Range

Zelda64L

Hmm... not gonna bite. it's the same pose as the WWHD figure and, though it' nicer and bigger, it doesn't strike me quite as much because it's the same pose as an already made figure that is cheaper and pretty well made.
However, give me a epic Toon Link fighting some baddies, or him and The King of Red Lions, or something involving Tetra/Zelda. Medli, Makar, Fado, and Laruto. ALL of these characters I would absolutely LOVE as First4Figures.

Re: Poll: Which New Nintendo 3DS Will You be Buying?

Zelda64L

Seeing 'standard New Nintendo 3DS (Black)' as an option is just rubbing salt in my American wounds...
It's even worse seeing the header image because, I had been okay with XL only until I say that header with those beautiful faceplates...
sigh the Majora's Mask Special Edition though makes up for it i guess...
