Re: Nintendo Share Price Falls to Lowest Point in Over a Year as Global Markets React to 'Brexit'

@TrueWiiMaster Hillary is a horrible person, true, but at least she has experience in government and can control her temperament. Also her foreign policy and economic plans are far better than Trump's. Also, there's the added bonus of her not saying minorities are rapists, criminals, or terrorists.

If I were old enough, I would've liked to have voted for Sanders, but Hillary's second and Trump should never be considered...

@remag

Not really looking to get into an argument over this but I wish Britain had voted to stay.

@freaksloan

You do realize the EU and the UN are different, right?

Re: DLC Review: Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation

Fantastic!

I finished Birthright a few days ago, and I'm on Chapter 27 in the Conquest campaign now. I tried to buy the special edition but I was too late by the time I got enough money, they'd sold out. :/

I look forward to the explanation of why you can marry your Hoshidan siblings, because honestly, it creeped me out too much to even do do it(even though I really like Sakura's character). I married Camilla, and I still sometimes kinda cringe when she calls the avatar her brother in the Conquest campaign.

I absolutely loved the Awakening vibe of Birthright(challenging, but with grinding levels) of Birthright, and I was actually really pleased with Conquest too. I'm the type of guy who always plays on Normal in games, so I was intitally cautious of Conquest's difficulty. I gotta say, it is at times brutal(The last 5 campaign chapters I've played, I was down to my last pair of units by the time I won. Here's a hint: THE NOHRIAN SIBLINGS ARE YOUR FRIENDS. SEND YOUR CHILDREN INTO COMBAT TO DIE IF IT MEANS YOU CAN KEEP THE SIBLINGS ALIVE.), it's really rewarding when "Stage Complete!" flashes on the screen. If I had to replay one of them, I'd definitely choose Conquest. I'm also glad the avatar dying in combat doesn't mean game over, like it did in Awakening.

I was originally skeptic Fates would be better than Awakening, but it is, without a doubt. Characters, maps, story, weapons, cutscenes, support conversations, everything is better this time around.

I'm really intrigued by Azura... Like, seriously, never before has a video game character interested me more, except for maybe pre-Lucina Marth in Awakening.

Re: Video: Nintendo's Latest Fire Emblem Fates Presentation Focuses on Relationships and Classes

When I first played Awakening(my first Fire Emblem title), I didn't think the support system was OP. I did realize however, by around Chapter 13(When the game's story and difficulty were supposed to really start taking off), The Valmese army(portrayed in the game as incredibly dangerous soldiers) were rarely able to defeat more 1 than of my pairings in battle, and that was usually because they weren't at S support with each other yet.

This time around, with the inclusions of turrets, enemy units pairing up,, changes to the players' units pairing up, and the Dragonvein feature, I'm really looking forward to more strategy being needed to win battles.

Re: Editorial: Game Localisation Isn't Just About Preserving The 'Pure' Original

WinterWarm

I really agree with this. Awakening was the first FE title I bought, and while I remember at the time thinking it was peculiar NoA chose to censor/"localize" the picture of Tharja, it didn't really irritate me that much. Tons of places had the original picture for download anyway, if anyone really wanted it.

I have the same feeling about the differences between NoA's version of Fates and Japan's. Never once in the hundreds of hours of playing Awakening did I think "I really wish I could rub Chrom's/Tharja's(my main two units to marry) cheek."

Actually, I've never been upset about localization that I can remember.

I really don't care, I'm dropping $80 on Fates for the campaign, story, and multiplayer.

I didn't even know Skinship existed until everyone was complaining about it's being changed.

Re: Beenox Won't Be Working on Spider-Man Games Anymore

WinterWarm

@mjc0961 The Bayonetta series and The Wonderful 101 aren't good in your opinion? Why in the world not?

I liked Shattered Dimensions, personally, but the other Spider-Man titles they made developed didn't really do anything for me.

Hopefully things work out for them.

Re: Review: SENRAN KAGURA 2: Deep Crimson (3DS)

WinterWarm

I love how this review brings out the 'journalist' in all of you haha.

I actually agreed with this review on pretty much everything.

If you don't, then just chill. NintendoLife has not 'lost respect' or anything for this review. They gave Alex permission to publish this review, sharing his OPINION.

If you don't agree with his opinion, just chill.

Re: Review: SENRAN KAGURA 2: Deep Crimson (3DS)

@Chrizzel28 Oh, stop whining, please. They gave it a 6, which is above average.

I've played it, and it's nothing mind-blowing. They are better fighting games for 3DS, like Street Fighter, that's on sale right now.

You could do worse, yes, but you can definitely do better. Tekken 3D is better than this.

Re: Rumour: Nintendo NX Won't Be As Powerful As PlayStation 4

WinterWarm

Nintendo hasn't been interested in playing 'the power game' since the Gamecube, so I wouldn't be surprised if this was true. I don't think the console-portable build of the NX is the reason they would go this way. Nintendo's gone the route of being the cheapest for awhile now. Whether or not it's working, given their financial reports, is up for debate.

People don't buy Nintendo games or systems for the graphics. That's just the truth. It's for the gameplay, at the end of the day.

It's unique design and Nintendo's signature gameplay are what will make NX a success, I believe. Time will tell, in any event.

So yeah, I'm not having a hard time imagining this to be true. We'll see.
