Re: First Impressions: Kicking Off With FIFA 18 on the Nintendo Switch

I have a portable version on vita and it plays a good game of footy, so I can't see why this version would be pants, it should play like footy and that's what you need for this game been portable, didn't stop the vita version been a decent game just because it didn't have all the whistle and bells shenanigans. Though motion controls could ruin the game, they don't belong on a footy game, good luck to it though

Like yourself, I have been reading comments many months now but I didn't care much about it but after having many great chats with you, I find this out of charachter for you or maybe this is you, afterall I remember you blowing up about MH, which was probably to be expected because of your passion for this game. Yep I didn't expect you to react to somebody's comments like this, though he isn't always right but he isn't always wrong either, i actually like the guy for many things, just like most ppl on here

Yep, i owned it on wii u. The hide mechanic is just another cover system that's expanded on. I mentioned paintball games just as a reminder that there are games out there that use paint, also games like The unfinished Swan uses splatter paint everywhere, though it's nothing like this, it's a first person shooting adventure. Hey I remember marathon and blood plus many others like shadow warrior, MSDOS, I still play original doom and love a bit of Duke Nukem, I have the megaton edition on vita that I play now and then, yeah love the old games, now that's when many games were original, just maybe I have seen it all and want something new and not just revised editions of games. Going back to sales, I didn't say Splatoon wouldn't sell because it clearly did, not sure about those numbers you said, afterall vgacharts is never right, they have the wii u at 13.9 million so far but Nintendo said themselves they only shipped 13.5 before discontinued, it's the same for vita, they have it at a 3 hundred thousand less than the very reliable mediacreate numbers, yep vgacharts can't be trusted at all but I am sure Splatoon sold many millions and number 2 will sell more than the first, also been the first shooter to hit the switch will also help it

It's a TPS no matter how you look at it, regardless if it's life looking or cartoonist. Actually it takes some inspiration from 3ds version off kid icarus, well the campaign mode is just a TPS platforms game, no different from rachet and clank in that respect, and paintball games have been around long before this game. It just borrows from other games, I guess I am trying to say it ain't special, it's just another shooter. Having played the original that's my conclusion

No need to get your knickers in a twist, chill, I said I read your comment wrong. Off course there Japan only until stated otherwise, no problem but you did imply that it was a Japan only switch game, no mention of other hardware getting it, made it sound like a exclusive, that's where the mix up happened, using the term Japan only switch title.i am sure you can see how there was a mix up. Would have sounded better saying Japan only multiplatform titles

But never mind

@JaxonH
Nah bud it's not switch only, it's also coming to PS4. Also psvita in Japan with a western release date later, you know I love Japanese games but the problem with Koei is they release so many games that only 1 in 10 are probably worth playing, same with NIS, I should know i probably buy more than most ppl, usually about ten games a month give or take a few, and all Japanese games

@Equinox
Hmm probably not, the vita is constantly getting niche Japanese games almost every week, why would ppl buy a switch to get them when they can play them on their vita, most of the niche games are already on vita that switch is getting, for example umbral star and one piece unlimited world red. Don't get me wrong, many Japanese games will come to switch just like they did on 3ds but many ppl won't jump to switch just to play these games, there are many platforms that have Japanese games like ps4 and steam. There are 2 new Japanese games out tomorrow in the West on vita, valkirye revolution and Tokyo xanadu

Re: ARMS and Nintendo Switch Keep a Grip on the Japanese Charts

WhistleFish

Well that's a new low for switch hardware, lowest numbers yet. PS4 family highest selling and that says it all, especially with the Japanese preferring handhelds. Crap software sales aswell on all hardware, can't believe Minecraft vita has sold so much though and still selling after more than 2 years of almost constantly been in the charts

Yep, i see where your coming from. Plenty 3rd party even if they are low budget, I feel the same way about my Vita and just like vita the switch will also get plenty 3Rd party support from Japanese publishers. So yeah I don't worry about what others think I am happy with my lot

Re: PES 2018 is Skipping Nintendo Switch, But Konami Will Consider Future Releases

WhistleFish

@Ichiban
Lol, that just about sums up Nintendo life for ya, one minute they hate Ubisoft and BOOM a game is announced and then they become best publishers ever, same for EA, konami, Capcom plus others but especially capcom due to mh issue, problem with switch owners they think it's their God given right to have most games on it, but when a game isn't coming they throw their toys on the floor in a tantrum, I like some Ninty games but hate more than I like, so that's why I buy multiple hardware

Re: Square Enix Has Been 'Tenacious' in Ongoing Conversations About Final Fantasy XIV on Switch

WhistleFish

Well i don't think cross-play is a big deal, never stopped games from been released before, also it ain't a THING yet and probably won't be. Switch probably won't get many games that use it anyhow, maybe Ninty can release all their top games on other systems and have cross-play, yep can't see that happening. I don't buy games thinking I can play against other players on different hardware nor do I care and let's face it ps4 don't need it not with the size of its userbase and still growing

Can't see how really when the vita does everything the psp can, oh and Vita plays all psp games, it's a great hack. Hackers are developing a DS emulator, it's still in progress, the vita screen is split in two, psp can't do that without a touch screen, but yeah psp was a great emulation machine and original God, but now vita took its crown

@rockodoodle
It would normally be a slow time in March but not when new hardware is involved, that slow month don't count then. Also switch wasn't fighting other companies like they would have done at Christmas time for people's money, Ninty had it all to themselves, I have no doubt switch wouldn't have sold as much as it did in March, it was a good move by Ninty. At Christmas competing against ps4, xbox, 3ds, phones I Phone and Samsung in particular plus Tablets Ninty would have struggled for consumers attention, obviously Ninty thought the same that's why they released in March, they didn't just pluck a date out of a hat draw, it was carefully planned, they could have waited but they needed space where switch could shine best and a good thing with E3 around the corner

Re: Nintendo Switch Sales Surge Past A Million In Japan

WhistleFish

@Leostacks
I wouldn't say Japanese take to their home systems and certainly not of late, vita has sold 5.650 million so far and still selling I may add and Wii U is stuck at 3.3million, this isn't great but like you said vita sales are OK, it will probably reach 7 million ish. Xbox did OK with 360, it sold over 1.7 million, all the sales figures are from mediacreate, I think Microsoft would have been happy with those sales, especially compared to original xbox and Xbox one. Yep that's why I own a vita because it's niche, I love Japanese games and Vita is the best place to go to for them

There was a article on here yesterday, can't remember it's name, but many people from different country's were saying how switch was readily available, there was Mexico, Italy, Austria, Australia, Canada plus others, so yeah it's not a global shortage. Just remembered the article was 2 days ago, it's about Ninty apologies for short supply
