Re: The Girl and the Robot Adds Wii U Stretch Goal to Campaign

Usagi-san

This looks really good. I hope they reach the Wii U stretch goal since my computer has trouble playing games and I wouldn't be able to play it otherwise.

Still not sure about backing it though I hate these $250,000 stretch goals for Wii U.(Ignore that last comment - I need to go back to school and learn my numbers )

Re: Soapbox: Why Grand Theft Auto V Isn't For Me

Usagi-san

GTA isn't for me either, It just doesn't interest me. I don't think I've played any of the recent games, although I do recall a top down GTA game years ago that I played very passingly. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Wind waker is awesome though and that's an objective fact

Re: Fez For Wii U Is Highly Unlikely Unless Nintendo Pays For It

@SilentHunter382 But Slapshot was using this to argue that he must obviously know something about making it in the game industry.

I'm not trying to be mean or anything. If he has only made a one-hit wonder then he's a newcomer and actually may not be all that familiar with the industry. When slapshot said he made a living developing video games I assumed he had worked on other games and was a little known veteran.

Re: Phil Fish: I Love Nintendo In Ways It Probably Doesn't Deserve

Usagi-san

So where do I sign up for my "not a nintendo fanboy" certification so that my opinion about criticisms regarding Nintendo can be valid?

Sometimes I get fed up with this propensity for labelling people as "fanboys" and then declaring their opinions somehow irrelevent.

I for one think that the way he expressed his opinion was poor and honestly can't understand some of his criticisms. I'd never heard anybody complain about having a second screen before so I found this particularly bizarre.

Re: Latest Castlevania: Mirror Of Fate Trailer Teases Simon Belmont's Tale

Usagi-san

Can't say I'm excited. I never played lords of shadow but I had a look at the demo of this game and it didn't seem like anything special. It must not be my kind of game.

I was a little confused by that teaser though. I hope they're just not showing what's on the bottom screen when the necklace glows because it comes across as awkward otherwise.

Re: Wii U To Get An "Exclusive" Rayman Legends Demo Soon

Usagi-san

A game that was going to be exclusive to Wii U is now on hold, even though it's finished, for the sole reason of releasing it at the same time on other consoles... To be honest I think Ubisoft has earned the anger of disgruntled fans and I can understand if an exclusive demo does nothing to assuage that. Although I was never going to buy the game I do find this situation ridiculous.

Re: Pokémon X and Pokémon Y Caught In Worldwide Release This October

Usagi-san

Argh! I saw the video of the old games on the japanese Nintendo Direct and thought they might finally be bringing them to the 3DS Virtual Console. I don't want your new Pokemon games! Give me the Gameboy games first!!!

As for the new games, I can't say I'm too keen on the overworld. The pokemon look great but the rest... I hope there is some improvement before its release in October.

Re: Virtual Boy Port of Faceball Is Getting A Physical Release

Usagi-san

@brooks83 Because there's no reason to assume otherwise. If I told you I bought a copy of an unreleased Zelda game and was now going to produce physical copies to sell at $100 each and then make the ROM freely available online but made no mention of obtaining rights would you believe everything was approved by Nintendo?

Re: Virtual Boy Port of Faceball Is Getting A Physical Release

Usagi-san

@russellohh The website isn't specifically for the virtual boy game it's a site for the developer. Either way it is up to the people making these illegal copies to seek out and obtain permission first, they don't know whether the copyright has been sold to somebody else or not.

To be completely frank the title of this should be "Virtual Boy Port of Faceball Is Getting A pirated Physical Release". I can see no mention in any of the links of permission having been obtained to make copies and that makes this simple piracy.

Re: Virtual Boy Port of Faceball Is Getting A Physical Release

Usagi-san

@Damo The developer may still exist, in any case if these people haven't sought permission that makes them pirates. Plain and simple.

In fact a little research suggests they may still exist. I googled the developer and found that Bullet Proof Software became Blue Planet software which has a website under construction.
