@BlatantlyHeroic: "Rules exist for those who are blind. They are ideas, not physical boundaries. Once a person realizes this, "right" and "wrong" fade out of existence"
@PorllM Well I feel slightly ridiculous. That is a very achievable amount. Do you know anything about the regions they plan to make the game available in on Wii U? Sometimes Australia misses out and my PC isn't good enough to play even some older games.
This looks really good. I hope they reach the Wii U stretch goal since my computer has trouble playing games and I wouldn't be able to play it otherwise.
Still not sure about backing it though I hate these $250,000 stretch goals for Wii U.(Ignore that last comment - I need to go back to school and learn my numbers )
If they've finished modelling the characters why didn't they put them in the video? Right now it looks like all they have is an idea. Also, do they always dress up and play in graveyards?
GTA isn't for me either, It just doesn't interest me. I don't think I've played any of the recent games, although I do recall a top down GTA game years ago that I played very passingly. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
Wind waker is awesome though and that's an objective fact
@Gamer83
Please do tell us what makes a person a "real" gamer so we can be more than mere Nintendo fanboys. Do I have to change my username or just own a PS3 or Xbox?
Whether a person prefers Nintendo or some other console doesn't effect the validity of their opinions.
"epic" is sooooooo over used. This bares no resemblance to the Zelda series and that last fight was ridiculously cheap. This is emphatically NOT how to make a Zelda movie.
@ErnisDy I'm just slightly cynical. It would be nice to see a Wii U release as the "goal" and not just an extra possibility accompanied by uncertainty, that's all.
For once I'd like to see one of these kickstarter projects being made specifically for Wii U and 3Ds instead of it being at the end of a list of other goals.
@SilentHunter382 But Slapshot was using this to argue that he must obviously know something about making it in the game industry.
I'm not trying to be mean or anything. If he has only made a one-hit wonder then he's a newcomer and actually may not be all that familiar with the industry. When slapshot said he made a living developing video games I assumed he had worked on other games and was a little known veteran.
I've never played the game but instead of waiting for Nintendo to do it for him why doesn't he just start a kickstarter and hire somebody to port it? If the fans love it that much it well get funded but if not then no real loss.
So where do I sign up for my "not a nintendo fanboy" certification so that my opinion about criticisms regarding Nintendo can be valid?
Sometimes I get fed up with this propensity for labelling people as "fanboys" and then declaring their opinions somehow irrelevent.
I for one think that the way he expressed his opinion was poor and honestly can't understand some of his criticisms. I'd never heard anybody complain about having a second screen before so I found this particularly bizarre.
I demand the next one of these articles be a touching story about a father who changes Princess Peach to Mario so his son can play Super Princess Peach without shame!
I keep going back to the demo to find out what everybody else is seeing but I haven't a clue. It didn't strike me as particularly good or bad so what is so awesome about the demo that changed people's minds?
Can't say I'm excited. I never played lords of shadow but I had a look at the demo of this game and it didn't seem like anything special. It must not be my kind of game.
I was a little confused by that teaser though. I hope they're just not showing what's on the bottom screen when the necklace glows because it comes across as awkward otherwise.
A game that was going to be exclusive to Wii U is now on hold, even though it's finished, for the sole reason of releasing it at the same time on other consoles... To be honest I think Ubisoft has earned the anger of disgruntled fans and I can understand if an exclusive demo does nothing to assuage that. Although I was never going to buy the game I do find this situation ridiculous.
Argh! I saw the video of the old games on the japanese Nintendo Direct and thought they might finally be bringing them to the 3DS Virtual Console. I don't want your new Pokemon games! Give me the Gameboy games first!!!
As for the new games, I can't say I'm too keen on the overworld. The pokemon look great but the rest... I hope there is some improvement before its release in October.
@brooks83 Because there's no reason to assume otherwise. If I told you I bought a copy of an unreleased Zelda game and was now going to produce physical copies to sell at $100 each and then make the ROM freely available online but made no mention of obtaining rights would you believe everything was approved by Nintendo?
@russellohh The website isn't specifically for the virtual boy game it's a site for the developer. Either way it is up to the people making these illegal copies to seek out and obtain permission first, they don't know whether the copyright has been sold to somebody else or not.
To be completely frank the title of this should be "Virtual Boy Port of Faceball Is Getting A pirated Physical Release". I can see no mention in any of the links of permission having been obtained to make copies and that makes this simple piracy.
@Damo The developer may still exist, in any case if these people haven't sought permission that makes them pirates. Plain and simple.
In fact a little research suggests they may still exist. I googled the developer and found that Bullet Proof Software became Blue Planet software which has a website under construction.
They are family according to the reboot (as in it might be appropriate for them to hug and make up like a happy family rather than try and kill each other - just in case this comment doesn't make sense to anybody.) Although my brother hopes that the whole Dracula-Belmont relationship disappears after they wrap it up and I tend to agree with him.
