Re: Surprise! Spiritfarer Launches On Nintendo Switch Today

UnknownReader

@graysoncharles Same. I am so looking forward to Raji. I first know about this game like 2-3 years ago when I vote for it in Square Enix Collective. Been waiting for Steam release.

Also waiting for Garden Story, played the demo on Steam, it was quite fun.
Spiritfarer looks fun too but not that price tag. Maybe will wait and see if there will be a physical.

Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Second Summer Update Adds Save Data Backup, And It's Coming Earlier Than Planned

UnknownReader

For me, contacting them to get my save game back is not something I am excited about since I don't really care if they are gone, I like terraforming, resetting is no problem at all. For others maybe it's a good update.
I don't care about the dream either.
I am waiting ( that is if I still want to get back to playing ) for them to take the restriction of 8 incline/bridge off.
Allowing us to use the bridge for hills too rather than just river.
And Tortimer island so we can play some mini games.
invite villager to play with us like they sometime ask us to play with them. And/or invite them to visit our house for tea or something.

Do appreciate them rolling out update often.

@Hjaw123 Yeah, k8sMum told me that earlier so I restarted and now I got 4 musical friendship note from him, but I lost the chance to buy pets from Van cos I have to restart Harvest Goddess gifting, lol! Now I am not too broke, working on upgrading the house then I'll befriend the Bachelors.

For Stardew Valley, I've played till I give what was required to restore the Abandoned House, and I stop playing. It's a fun game, not a WOW factor for me. Just like ACNH is a fun and somewhat pretty game, but the drama (people telling others how they should play what they paid for ) everywhere I see, makes me stop playing now.

Re: Random: Animal Crossing Mod Wipes Out All The Sea Bass In New Horizons

UnknownReader

@sanderev "get the updates and events" does not equal to online play and definitely not what you said before "Or didn't you go to the dock on your Island?"

All games be it mobile to PC to console all have updates and most have event. Unless the game is dead ( still able to play but dev stop updating ) (edit to say: people can still update and do event without playing online. Airplane Mode )
And after months of playing +resetting my game, I did not encounter less spawning of bugs (at least not to a point that I only see them 1 spawn in days ) I like the spawning rate now. Bank interest? do you rely on that only? I get way more bells than what the bank game me. And that too balance out nicely for me. ( I have so much bells that if I trade something now, I only ask for NMT )

I really don't get the mentality of some of you. And if you so worried about they may break your game, then hang with the people on this forum ( you know that one thread Animal crossing New horizons ) Or ask the people you going to travel to if they TT or not before going. How hard is that?

Re: Random: Animal Crossing Mod Wipes Out All The Sea Bass In New Horizons

UnknownReader

(quote) Animal Crossing is, however, online. Or didn't you go to the dock on your Island? (end quote)
So what about those who do not have multiple system at home for local and NSO for online? You can't play the game anymore? they have to return for refund?

(quote) mods ain't fine for any game since the game is being broken and not play the way it was meant to be played (end quote)

Says who? Source please.

Re: Nintendo Clamps Down On The Sale Of Characters And Items In Animal Crossing: New Horizons For Real Money

I don't know what is nice about Raymond. I did at one time want to hunt for him cos he looks cute when he sing. I have Punchy (from amiibo card ) on my first game before I reset, he is just ok. Lolly and Marina is sweet, but that is it. Rudy (starter villager on second gameplay) is super cute. I do find Broccolo (mouse), Graham and Hamlet way cuter. Also (first gameplay) Poncho (second gameplay ) Pekoe both are sweet and caring. I don't really care for frog villager, but Croque is nice. Sisterly villager, I like Agnes more than Diva and Phoebe.

I join fandom discussion and see every hours/mins/days people willing to buy ( not with real money ) villagers/woods/furniture ( I get the color you want that are different from the color in their nook store) /even DIY. Seriously, it's not hard to get those whether one TT or not.
It is really not hard to get wood and stone.

I am one who will not spend bells/NT let alone real money on virtual thing in a game.

Re: Have You Downloaded Nintendo's Animal Crossing: New Horizons Starter Guide Yet?

UnknownReader

@mlj11 I guess it give people a reason to redeem/ use those coins? I collect so many ( I think they even give you some on your birthday ) hardly ever use them. Not sure about silver, but gold expired yearly so we have to use them in some way. Unlike Club Nintendo ( I think the points last for 2 years? ), we collect to redeem physical goods on a certain month ( don't recall which month. But I miss that program so much ) so it's worth saving up those point, now... not so for us western. Japan get to use them for physical goods, I think.

Re: An Additional 140,000 User Accounts May Have Been Accessed Maliciously, Nintendo Says

UnknownReader

@GameOtaku Same here. I prefer Physical unless itdigital only and I really want to play and it's on sale, I'll use eshop card. Same goes for Steam. I stop buying since they insist on the new rules about putting personal info to even buy games using wallet funds ( I know it's rules since the beginning but it wasn't strict back then, and I have never needed to put info since I joined. ) I don't even care those Steam fanboys argument about my info already out there if I shop online. ( game site is game site, Shopping is Shopping. Shopping I can claim easy. Game site tends to push responsibility. )

Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons Update 1.2.1 Patch Notes - Fixes Some Bugs

UnknownReader

@DarkLloyd yes you can finish it via k.k credit scene

I too feel that after K.K.credit scene, it's the end and one can do whatever they want ( for me, apart from duplicate glitch. I don't do it unless to "test" it for fun. )

@RazumikhinPG When I see amazing islands from "cheaters" on social media it gives me inspiration and ideas to improve mine.

Same. I love seeing those island. 1 in particular is this imotarez on twitter. The other one was this U=tuber "SwitchForce" ( don't know if it's the same member here with the same user name ) showing the "must see 5 star hidden forest". And all the pix posted on Twitter and reddit.

I TT and I am still having fun. My little girl don't and she already stop playing since bunny day. Now I am playing both the Switch to get DIY and store. I don't even play with others anymore in case I get someone who is/are judgmental and being call "cheater" cos I TT. ( I do return favor ) I Don't TT for Turnips, dup stuff, bank interest, cataloging. I do it for terraforming and villager(s) and diy.

@SpaceboyScreams @DarkLloyd @RazumikhinPG I wish I would have known you guys first, at least I would have enjoy visiting your island and not being judged after that.

Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons Hackers Are Making Star Fragment Trees

UnknownReader

I like the tree holding the star fragment. They should make the tree able to. Limit of bridge and incline already take some of the "creativity" away. And if those count for island evaluation, than don't count those after a set number being build. And also entrance only face 1 direction.
So many restriction for a game that suppose to be creative with a "blank canvas"

Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons Players Have Figured Out Another Item Duplication Glitch

UnknownReader

OMG!! those peanuts interest.. you can get it by cutting woods, fishing, catching bugs, chopping woods, selling those fossil that Blathers already have instead of making strangers' life easy by giving away. I thought this game is all about "waiting and patient" Not much waiting and patient and hard work if one only need to go to other people island to pick/ drop/ trade/ collect, ain't it? ( wonder what we should call those? lazy? mooch? Since TT has a name "cheater" )
(edit incase someone what to throw spawning into it. )
tarantula and scorpion are meant to be rare, if anything blame those who manipulate the land for spawning. But I would say, it may due to them ( developer ) balancing spawning rate more than anything.

But yeah, quit bitching and just concentrate on your own game.

Re: Random: Cadence Of Hyrule Guitarist Jokingly Petitions For Time Travel Cheater Stamp In Animal Crossing

UnknownReader

@ComposedJam Also google is our best friend. What they consider "cheating" is actually CloudSave
*you won't be able to use cloud saves to protect your deserted island's progress....Aya Kyogoku, and producer, Hisashi Nogami, to clarify why this feature isn't compatible with their vision for the game, and the alternatives they're looking at to protect player's data.
The answer came down to one thing: they want to prevent cheating*
(Time Travel) putting in hard work, I think it creates value and love for that specific item you were able to gain.
( source )https://www.ign.com/articles/why-animal-crossing-new-horizons-doesnt-have-cloud-save-support-switch-data-transfer?sf119355808=1
Ah.. how much hard work can that player put if all they do is go ask for items "to catalog" instead of waiting ( PACE of the game) for bottle, tree drop, own villager crafting and nook store everyday... I wonder.

(edit: I don't care what people do, just don't be a hypocrite. )

Re: Random: Cadence Of Hyrule Guitarist Jokingly Petitions For Time Travel Cheater Stamp In Animal Crossing

UnknownReader

If someones having problem with PACE of the game, than it means Animal Crossing is just not for you
Oh wow... I didn't see the note on the cover (Note) This game is not suitable for people who don't have normal schedule or don't have a lot of time wasting on waiting. You have to play according to how other want you to on the physical box when I bought the game. Should have check the even smaller fine line and see if they state this is design and sold for only a certain kind of people .....

Re: Animal Crossing Appears To Have Nerfed Tarantula And Scorpion Spawn Rates

UnknownReader

@fafonio I have a bunch of them WIndflower I got from mystery island. hardly any peacock butterflies. I still need 1 to save for next time Flick comes so I can give him to do a commission, lol!

I think they are just balancing out the spawning and not some nerfing because some unknown person on earth TT. If they post on public about "making this game fair for everbody" I call it BS excuse, I see nothing fair for those who don't have NSO to travel to other players island for trade and shop.

Re: Random: Cadence Of Hyrule Guitarist Jokingly Petitions For Time Travel Cheater Stamp In Animal Crossing

UnknownReader

@Heavyarms55 I read about hacker got banned. I thought it was to do with them using it to win the tournament.

AC, I wish I can hack to have more than 10 villager on my island, lol!
I didn't care about the "glitch" before where you can duplicate stuff, I don't care about the interest rate, or the insect over spawning. as long they spawn, lol!
I get **** rate for turnip so I don't even play the stock market and mystery island, is always the same fruits, island design, flowers. I got ONCE blue windflower and ONCE bells island.. that is it and once nice island design, lol!
I just use my little girl island to exchange stuff like diy and furniture ( her game has better luck than mine ).

Re: Random: Cadence Of Hyrule Guitarist Jokingly Petitions For Time Travel Cheater Stamp In Animal Crossing

UnknownReader

@Heavyarms55 if hacking and use it for online tournament or PVP, then it should be against the rule and be punished. But AC is not PVP or tournament, unless we are talking about those who exploit and use it to sell for real money on ebay or other forum. But people who do it for themselves I still see nothing wrong.
(edit @Heavyarms55 I agree "The hacking can put other players at risk." What I meant above " But people who do it for themselves I still see nothing wrong." is player doing TT for themselves I see nothing wrong as long as it's for themselves and not use it to make real money off other. But then again, those who willing to pay is their choice, we can't hold their money hostage. Just like if people willing to pay to get Raymond on their island, who are we to stop them.)
