Raji has me very interested, not heard of it before.
Will wait on reviews though.
Been looking forward to A Short Hike so the shadow drop was a nice surprise.
Also liked the look of Raji which was shadow dropped as well but will wait time see a review as I hadn’t heard of that before.
It was actually one of the best gaming presentations I saw this year. A lot to put on the wishlist and keep an eye on.
Raji was the standout, but it looks like one of those overambitious indie games that could be broken in terms of movement/collision. I'll wait and see, but I love the concept and visuals.
A Short Hike seems interesting too, but was free on the Epic Store a while ago...
Manifold garden looks different. May give that one a go!
Got "A Short Hike" as it sounded really chill and the 3D DS style graphics brought some nostalgia.
Surprised how cheap it was too! With my gold coins got it for £4.
Might get Raji a lil later.
Bear and Breakfast had my interest once knowing it's somewhat a management sim for a B&B.
Weird we didn’t see anything on Baldo, Windbound, or Sports Story..
This was a good presentation for (former) PC-exclusives that I would rather play on Switch. Hellooooo Hades, Hynospace Outlaw, and A Short Hike.
Also, Grindstone rules a lot.
@KBoo Sports Story just got delayed. They’re probably not too worried about advertising it at the moment.
It was a great presentation. I'm not exactly sure which games I will and won't be getting but they all looked interesting to some degree. Six shadow drops is also pretty crazy. Already grabbed A Short Hike (couldn't resist for that price) and I'm tempted by Spiritfarer, despite the high price. Quite a few good ones to look forward to in the coming months.
Only £5.66 for A Short Hike! Pulling the trigger now
No Silk Song? What’s happened to it?
Otherwise nothing for me
I want Bear and Breakfast right now, sounds perfect.
Raji was the one that stood out the most. Interested to see how it reviews.Torchlight 3 is guaranteed to be good.
I've seen my nephew play Subnautica on his PS4, and the framerate really chugged in places. I'll be surprised if it runs any better on Switch.
I tried to buy Raji but the eshop keeps giving me an error. I won't even let me change the credit card. Is it just me??
Raji, Card Shark, and Manifold Garden all caught me by surprise
What I think of when I think of "Raji":
Still, that looks like it could be an incredible game.
Managed to catch this just before making dinner for me and my son. Raji, Subnautica and Torchlight were the ones that caught my eye. Red Lanter seemed interesting, too.
Great presentation. The lack of Silksong info was the only downside.
@OorWullie Was thinking of getting Subnautica on ps4. Sad to know. Seems you have similar tastes as I picked those games, too
Great show, overall. Too bad some random person on the internet told me Indie games aren't games, so I must hate this presentation. It's compulsory.
Raji and Spiritfarer.
@Jayofmaya There was a more substantial preview of The Red Lantern last year, and it’s worth watching if you haven’t yet. That game looks really cool.
Heck yeah, subnautica is finally coming to switch. Super hyped.
Yes, i've noticed a difference on the last presentations. I see more and more game artstyles and ideas and less overdone nostalgia stuff.
I'm happy for Torchlight 3 and ready to jump back in. I know I'm going to like Hades.
Subnautica, Raji, and Card Shark all seem potentially interesting.
Sad there was no Silksong 😭
Can't believe those games better than i expected, More like an official direct but with indie only , also wonder where ghosterunner, cloudpunk and so much more games they have announce before all this :/ hope they got release
Finally, this is what most of us want, directs to let us know as to what to expect. This was a good Indie Direct. Now if we can have a Nintendo Direct for first party games and also AAA games from 3rd party publishers 😀. heck, just give me updates on what they already announced. Keep me updated, it makes happy to look forward to Switch’s future
@Bunkerneath Was thinking the same. I hoped it would be sometime this year
Bear and Breakfast, Garden Story, and Subnautica all have me pretty excited.
Raji and Spiritfarer both stood out for me, love the art style on both games, very different but both appealing
yawn
2020 just needs to end already. Seriously.
I respect all the effort goes into making each of these games but this showcase was just disappointing.
I was expecting Baldo because it should release this summer according to the last Indie.
The only positive thing about this showcase in my eyes was The Red Lantern.
Been waiting for that since an Indie World showcase of Feb or March last year (!)
Sorry I’m so salty guys.
I know it was an Indie showcase but I’m a tad disappointed.
Not too much caught my eye, except that Manifold Garden. I like puzzle games and the art style is intriguing.
Too many to choose from! Bought A Short Hike as soon as it went up but also tempted by Raji, Hades, Takeshi and Hiroshi and Manifold Garden. Only disappointment for me was that I was kinda hoping to see more of Eastward, but oh well.
A short hike is sweet but very, yeah, short.
I thought that was a great presentation. Were there titles I’d be interested in? I mean Hades looked interesting. But other than that I’m not really an indie-type-fan. But the presentation wasn’t a yawn at all to me Bring on the first party direct.
Raji was the raja of the show
How many different types of garbage can be released on Nintendo!!! WHERE ARE THE SPELUNKY?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This unbearable expectation of a miracle!!! "I'm serious.
Raji, A Short Hike and the 2 Subnautica games interest me. A physical edition of Subnautica is reportedly planned to be released. Raji will wait for reviews whilst may pull trigger for A Short Hike due to low cost.
As for the rest, too many puzzle platformer, rogue-like and management games for my tastes. A decent selection overall shown off though I have a feeling that Metroidvanias may have dropped in popularity due to burn out. I believe Roguelikes May be the next genre to be burned out.
Was at least hoping for a general 2d action platformer reminiscint of the 16bit era.
Nobody thought Takechi and Hiroshi was a cool, wholesome concept? Really?
It's refreshing to see some positive feelings towards this.
Some interesting looking games shown today, a really solid show overall.
A Short Hike turned out to be a total surprise for me! I hadn't heard of it before now, and the shadow drop + $10< price tag + cozy 3D pixel art = impulse buy. It's so much fun! Graphics and art style are so charming, and the dialogue is a joy; controls are snappy, as are the dialogue bubbles; the island map is fun to explore, and the performance is very nice so far!
Spiritfarer has finally released, and with a shadow drop! I was excited to buy it until I saw the $30 price tag. Look, I know Spiritfarer has a bit more momentum behind it than the other titles, but that's just too high of a price for me. $25 is my personal limit for an eShop purchase; anything higher and I'm much more likely to just wait for a physical release.
Untitled Goose Game's free multiplayer DLC makes me extremely tempted to order the physical copy.
Honestly was just hoping for A Short Hike, so I had quite the reaction to the reveal and the fact it's out now. But in general it was a really impressive lineup of games, and I'm interested in quite a few of the ones shown off.
Some people say torchlight 2 is better than diablo 3. so looking forward to torchlight 3.
Cross-save on Hades is the reason to double-dip. Great game.
Yeah, A Short Hike! I really liked the whole presentation, but I'm now very into A Short Hike. I think I've heard of it before, but never watched much gameplay and never bought it on PC. I'm so blown away by it I kind of don't want to play it. Like I should save it or something. It runs at 60fps (I bought it for my Switch right after watching the Indie World video), is extremely charming (like Yoshi's Island level of charming), has perfect walking/running and flight controls, and just is such a sweet total package. I love Lonely Mountains Downhill and play it both to accomplish challenges and to just mosey enjoyably down a trail, and this game is like the enjoyable mosey aspect. And both games have the overheard diagonal view, which works even though I wouldn't think it would. But A Short Hike runs at 60fps while Lonely Mountains was patched to run pretty closely locked to 30fps with hitches (it still totally works though, in my opinion). I guess I mostly feel bad for all the other great and interesting games in this presentation! I do want to try the Escher falling puzzle platformer Garden thing.
Card shark looks interesting, i like cards so i'd like to know more about this game.
Raji is the only thing interesting for me. But I'm very picky with indies. It overalled seemed like a decent presentation.
Im excited for Gonner 2. I loved the first one.And Garden Story.
@Mii_duck I hear you on that. I am really interested in that one as well. Cheers!
So many surprise releases! But the announcements were either divided on "dropping today" and "releases in 2021". Either way, I liked the previous one better as it had more interesting announcements, but even though this one had exciting announcements like Subnautica, Hades and Spiritfarer; I feel the Switch really needs more titles like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1AESBecyTc&feature=emb_title
No Axiom Verge 2? I am disappoint.
red lantern (coming soon) that doesnt help me this entire thing was a bust
@Ewaldus me toooooo my god what an awful direct
Subnautica and Torchlight 3 are definitely the most interesting ones. The rest of them, we shall see.
It was good, some interesting games.
Now give us a ACTUAL BIG direct with some first party titles, exclusives and third party releases. Long overdue.
I am looking forward the most to Garden Story, Raji and ( just heard of ) Bear and Breakfast.
I have INMOST on my Steam wishlist, still unsure.
@graysoncharles what? stop talking like bane
@graysoncharles i wasnt talking to you paul
I must admit, as someone previously cynical about Indie games (I don't like rogue-like/metroidvanias and the NES clones were becoming tired) this presentation totally turned my view around! The creativity on display was fantastic.
I downloaded A Short Hike and the Hypnospace Outlaw demo. Bear and Breakfast and Garden Story look massively charming. Raji also looks intriguing (never played a game from an Indian developer) but I'll wait for reviews.
I'm also going to delve more into the Indie back catalogue now.
I bought Takeshi and Hiroshi and already complete it on my YouTube Channel.
I also bought A Short Hike gonna play that later today.
@imgrowinglegs I'll check it out, thanks
I'm having fun with the Hypnospace demo
Some very good indie titles upcoming, Raji looks interesting... I just hope this is a taster before a big upcoming proper Nintendo Direct...
Can you believe it's been nearly a year...
(I'm not counting the Mini Direct)
This direct was great. I bought Raji and A Short Hike today, and I'm hyped for Hades and Card Shark.
I beat A Short Hike today. The movement in that game is satisfying, and the world has plenty of things to do and secrets to find. I highly recommend it even though it's a short game.
Going to start Raji tomorrow.
Raji & Card Shark look amazing.
So many great games to choose from though.
@OorWullie Agree, I find it hard 2c it running nicely on the Switch...it's a PC game primarily, mmm....
@FX102A What about Roguelite ?, Or is that the same as Roguelike ?...
This was a really nice surprise actually. Wasn’t expecting much but there are some seriously good looking games there.
