Re: Retro Zelda-Inspired Adventure 'Mina The Hollower' Has Been Delayed For Switch 2 And Switch

I think the context that everyone is missing is that I backed this game on kickstarter in February of 2022. In a few months, that would be 4yrs. There has been 2 Shovel Knight games since then, Dig and Pocket Dungeon. And the only thing produced was a timed exclusive demo that was released to the public the same time it was released to the backers. In fact I played it at PAX before the other backers. 1) there could actually be some develop trouble OR 2) they are holding it back for the merchandising they are trying to do (toys and stuff animals given the tariffs). Both are questionable.

Everyone keeps complaining about it being a cloud game. Well then just buy an extra $200-$300 xboxPS console to play this game. I’m totally fine paying $40 for a license to play a game that once I beat it, I probably won’t pick up again or multi-player will be dead in 6 months. No one complains about shelling out $$$ on cosmetics for fortnite and it’s online multiplayer only game.

Re: "Nintendo Isn't That Smart": Pachter Says Nintendo Should Scrap Switch And 'Only Have Switch Lite'

I have an OG Switch and I play it like 75% in docked mode. So this would be stupid for me. The fact that I can play switch handheld is a convenience to me. If needed, I could always just pick it up and play handheld while traveling. Not have to carry a massive PS5 or Xbox one power brick across locations, is awesome. An awesome convenience. Now they could stop selling the $299 OG Switch and bring in a $199 dock only model with a resolution upscaler. But ALL games have to be compatibility with all 3 versions, Nintendo DS style.
