It has a fresh rating on Rotten tomatoes of 66% (detective pikachu for reference has a 69%) and all the youtubers I watch only have positive things to say about it. Maybe overseas they are a tougher crowd.

You know what else is outdated Technologically, the Ball (basketball, football, etc). It’s still fun as ish tho!

Another developer dev screwing themselves out of easy money. Certainly RPGs and Metriodvania games don’t do well on Switch or outsell their PlayStation counterparts. Come on man wake up and smell the coffee!

Except the screen tearing makes this pretty much trash. Playing a game like super Mario world gives me a headache after about 30min.

I just use the 8bitdo Gbros with a NES classic controller. Total cost $15 and you can use a Gamecube controller with the Gbros also. So it is Smash friendly. If you are just a 1 player totally worth it.

I do agree with him, Nintendo products do make great gifts. PlayStation and xbox are decisive but who would get mad at a switch even if it is a secondary console. And the classic systems are really good gifts

I think what really crutched this was the 'toys to life' thing. It made it overpriced. The game is a better 'no man's sky' tho. They should of kept it at $60 and maybe did star fox as DLC.
But I can't complain, got it for $35 from Amazon. So consumers won in the end.

I was at e3 2018 and in my opinion, Nintendo does it right. Nintendo direct, televised game showcases with devs, esports styled smash tournament, everything announced was playable and tons of free stuff (this includes paladins and fortnite). lol. They even went around and gave limited edition switch lapel pins to those playing Switch in lines at competitor booths. In comparison, Sony set up was a sit-down theatre with game booths that looked better than most movie setups but the lines were extremely long and limited games boothes. Xbox was in a entirely different venue across the street , which no one went to.

So will it work with joy con grip or handheld? I hope so. Not a fan of split joy con.

@Broosh Sounds like this will be a service in the current switch app like splatnet, concurrent. Sounds like each major game might get a service via the one switch app for online and new updates. Hopes this replaces the news section switch menu down the line.

That's a lot of content. I was already gonna buy the game anyway but looks like Nintendo is trying go for "Best Fighting Game" ever. I can see them dominating holiday season this year.

I understand the whole respect mobile aspect. But who is playing competitive online multiplayer on the go unless its a LAN environment. Is public/free WIFI that strong anywhere to justify this respecting mobile concern? But even then Fortnite has on board portable voice chat. So its possible. Is it our fault Nintendo didn't have enough forward sight to put a headphone jack in the pro controller?

Yes Sony copies its competitors a lot. Heck Crash Bandicoot is just a Sonic rip off. And remember wii sports, Move, crash kart racing, and all stars fighting. But to be fair there are def some times where we WISHED Nintendo would of copied the other two also. Example: Nintendo Switch Online . Competition is good unless you completely ignore it like Nintendo. Last time Nintendo acknowledged competition was Sega and we got some Gems out of that one.

I have such a back log of games that I haven't been able to revisit Shovel Knight. Might take a while before I get to this. But I love FREE. Anyone who doesn't have Treasure Trove I would highly recommend to get it. It has insane value for what is included.
