I would love this to be true as Sunshine is still my fave 3D Mario platformer but i think it's probably just coincidence, we're more likely to get a port of 3D World early next year than a Sunshine remake, as much as i think it deserves a re-release.
@boatie I can confirm that there are definitely still 3DS sales going on, i went on there two days ago and bought Hit Ninja when it was on sale, and there were three pages of offers, just gone on there now and there's four pages, so some new games have definitely been put on sale today.
@JasmineDragon I was pleasantly surprised by Fed Force, after all the hate i wasn't expecting much but the campaign is surprisingly good, not amazing by any means (especially by Metroid's high standards) but it doesn't deserve all the hate it gets. It's actually quite impressive for an FPS on the 3DS, it is quite atmospheric and the 3D effect makes the game look lush, defo worth a go if you have a 3DS i feel
Whilst i'm having a bit of a rant, i hate that the 'mons sound bytes are STILL the ancient gameboy sounds, how hard is it to have them say their own name like in the anime ?
This is really disappointing, i've subscribed to Pokemon Bank since it released in good faith that all my 'mon would be able to transfer to the latest games each time, guess it was a total waste of money. Not only do i have some Pokemon going all the way back, but also a large selection of shinies, i really hope they rectify this down the line.
The guys in the audience screaming at every word said were seriously getting on my nerves on this Bethesda conference lol Maybe it's because i'm a reserved, awkward Brit, but it was way OTT
@TeslaChippie haha i certainly don't mean in terms of quality, Pikmin is one of Nintendo's absolute best franchises as far as i am concerned, but sadly there's no denying that it is niche, it just doesn't seem to appeal to a wide audience. I would love to see it sells millions and millions. maybe a switch version would, who knows ?
I honestly think Nintendo will be thinking about next E3, they know it'll be big for both MS and Sony, with full blowout news on their new consoles, i reckon to combat that they will save their 'big guns' like a new Mario, Zelda, Splatoon, Mario Kart, along with Prime 4 and Bayonetta 3 for next year to not get lost in the noise and excitement.
With that in mind, this year is perfect to announce more second-tier games like Pikmin 4 or a new Paper Mario to supplement the already announced games. I think we're due some more Wii U ports too, Project Zero would be quite welcome for me.
@BlueRobin04 I adored Dark Moon personally, though i totally get why some people prefer LM 1, for me, 3 could go either way and follow on from either styles and i'll still love it, but maybe it should have elements of both ? So is more structured like DM to begin with but dramatically opens up later on ? that sounds good to me.
What i would really love is for Waluigi to be the main enemy this time, working alongside King Boo, it's the perfect opportunity for him to shine, and would bring a new dynamic to the series.
From a purely selfish viewpoint, i hope Animal Crossing doesn't take too much time up as i've no interest in that, Luigi's Mansion 3 on the other hand, i cannot wait to see more of !
Really though, Pikmin 4 is the thing i want to see more than anything, the wait is agonising, being a fan of Pikmin is not easy lol
Hmm if they had one or two final 3DS games to announce at E3, would they announce that right now ? i don't think so, so there's still a chance we might get a few more first party games i think.
Obviously if none are announced at E3 then Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn will be it's swan song. I'd rather it was a Wario Land game though.
It won't take much to impress me this year as i'm already happy with the line-up as it is (cannot wait for Luigi's Mansion 3 !) but Pikmin 4, Prime Trilogy HD and a new Paper Mario would all be very welcome.
I'd also like a few last 3DS games to be announced to send the system out in style, i'd especially like it to get a Wario Land game.
Is the Peppy/Falco/Slippy content just being able to use them in the game and for the existing Wolf content, or is there brand new story elements specifically for them ? i hope its the latter.
Gonna throw a wildcard out there - it looks to me like it could be a Chibi-Robo character...........but imagining that Retro have been working on a Chibi-Robo game for over five years is pretty hard to believe haha
I also agree that the AA Trilogy are pure 10/10 games, not many games i think deserve that score, but these absolutely do, i adore this series so much and i can't wait to see what the first new game in the series will be like on the Switch.
@Fidget No i played it on PS4 around a year ago sorry, the game did have a few bugs on that platform, nothing too bad but it did crash on me one or two times, i'm tempted to double-dip on the Switch version though, i enjoyed it that much
Absolutely love this game, for those wondering how it plays, i'd say it has similarities to 2D Zelda, just with a lot less emphasis on combat and instead of dungeons (although there are some) the main world itself is the puzzle. Unlocking it little by little is how you progress through the game, mainly through environmental puzzles but sometimes by some light platforming sections.
I highly recommend the game to anyone on the fence, i thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish, it has a really unique atmosphere to it.
I played this on PS4 and think it's a total hidden gem, i enjoyed it from start to finish so highly recommend it to everyone. It's such a shame Runic Games were shut down after this game was finished, i'd have loved a sequel.
Visually the game just looks incredible but i agree with the review in that the novelty of the hand-crafted feel has just about been exhausted now, i can't really see what else could be done with it now, which makes me hope that Nintendo will at least consider the idea of making the next Yoshi, Kirby, DK and Wario games 3D platformers.............yeah i know, not going to happen but i can dream lol
Man the 3DS is such an amazing little console, it's become my second favourite format of all time, only below the GameCube for me.
I'm gonna give some love to a very underrated and overlooked 3DS game - Hey Pikmin, i really feel like this game is so much better than the reviews would have you believe, in fact it's quite clever how it translates Pikmin's complex strategy gameplay into 2D, it even has some great levels where the blue and winged pikmin really get to shine, something the main series could learn from.
My Top 10 would be different to this, for me, Luigi's Mansion 2 is the best game on the system, it pushes the 3DS to it's limits i feel -
1. Luigi's Mansion 2 2. Mario 3D Land 3. Kid Icarus Uprising 4. Fire Emblem Awakening 5. Metroid:Samus Returns 6. Zelda:A Link Between Worlds 7. Kirby Triple Deluxe 8. Donkey Kong Country Returns 9. Pokemon X/Y 10. Hey Pikmin
Seeing this, along with the positive preview in the other article has really convinced me to get this, not day one, but later on, it looks like great fun, i really hope it's supported after launch, would be great if it was integrated into other first party games down the line.
Will keep an eye on it, could turn out decent, though i hope it doesn't feature the same, horrific "music" (if you can call it that) as this trailer, which is one of the worst i've seen in a long time.
I nearly bought Hydroventure last night, might as well get it with this discount.
As much as i agree with everyone that this rewards system needs to improve, i've actually used quite a lot of these discounts, particularly the 3DS ones as i still have a long list of e-shop and VC games to buy on it, so far i've gotten games like the Wario Lands, Dillon and Super Little Acorns for cheaper prices, which i'm happy about.
Seriously Capcom, after the RE pricing debacle and continuously not releasing any physical games in Europe, you're really not enamouring yourself to Switch owners Capcom.
I've got zero interest in Dragon's Dogma, but then, even the Capcom games i do want, they are making it as hard as possible to make me want to buy them, get a grip Capcom !!
Hyped !!! For once i actually love all three starters, i think Sobble just about edges it for me though
Seeing as its set in the UK, i really hope we get some pokemon based on each region, so a welsh dragon pokemon, scottish lock-ness pokemon etc that would be really cool.
Urgh, no physical for Europe again ! getting sick of this Capcom, guess i'll have to import 1/0 like i did Revelations 1/2 but then you can't add the gold points to your main account which sucks.
Things won't be quite the same without you Reggie, you gave Nintendo a personal touch that will be hard to replace but i hope you enjoy your retirement and time with your family, you deserve it. Thanks for all the entertainment you've provided us over the years !
Would love to see HAL celebrate their 40th anniversary next year by making a fully 3D Kirby platformer, it's something everyone wants to see, it has so much potential
Eh he's just one guy, just because he doesn't 'think' either will return, doesn't mean he's right, i still think Hammer could be the game, but now with less motion control and more about open worlds and destruction (sounds a bit like Crackdown 3 lol)
Apparently Metroid Dread's story is completely finished and they were just waiting on the right time to make the game, could very well be now, Project HAMMER seems the other likely game, i'd be happy with either.
Less likely to be Shadow of the Eternal or Cosmic Walker, but again, i'd be happy to see both of those too, both seemed interesting.
If i was to have a pure guess of something i'd love, it'd be Battalion Wars 3, but alas, that's extremely unlikely.
Might be an unpopular comment but i'm playing through Tri-Force Heroes right now and quite enjoying it Although admittedly i'm playing it in single-player but i wasn't expecting much from it but i'm pleasantly surprised, some sort of multi-player that's similar in LA would be fine by me.

Re: Video: Discover More About The Elder Scrolls: Blades
I'm gonna give this game a go at least, Pokemon Shuffle has fairly aggressive PTW elements but i still enjoy that so i'm going to give this a chance.
Also, @Ziondood, just wanna say, you're a great addition to the NL video team, i really enjoy your vids, keep up the good work !
Re: You Cannot Have A Complete National Pokédex In Pokémon Sword And Shield
@SalvorHardin Yep, i totally agree.
I guess the Alolan forms from Sun/Moon will be stuck on the 3DS for the foreseeable future.
