Re: Nintendo Download: 22nd August (Europe)

@boatie I can confirm that there are definitely still 3DS sales going on, i went on there two days ago and bought Hit Ninja when it was on sale, and there were three pages of offers, just gone on there now and there's four pages, so some new games have definitely been put on sale today.

Re: Around Half Of The Metroid Prime 3 Development Team Is Still At Retro Studios

@JasmineDragon I was pleasantly surprised by Fed Force, after all the hate i wasn't expecting much but the campaign is surprisingly good, not amazing by any means (especially by Metroid's high standards) but it doesn't deserve all the hate it gets. It's actually quite impressive for an FPS on the 3DS, it is quite atmospheric and the 3D effect makes the game look lush, defo worth a go if you have a 3DS i feel

I'm gonna give this game a go at least, Pokemon Shuffle has fairly aggressive PTW elements but i still enjoy that so i'm going to give this a chance.

Also, @Ziondood, just wanna say, you're a great addition to the NL video team, i really enjoy your vids, keep up the good work !

Re: You Cannot Have A Complete National Pokédex In Pokémon Sword And Shield

Toadie

This is really disappointing, i've subscribed to Pokemon Bank since it released in good faith that all my 'mon would be able to transfer to the latest games each time, guess it was a total waste of money. Not only do i have some Pokemon going all the way back, but also a large selection of shinies, i really hope they rectify this down the line.

Re: The Nintendo Direct Presentation For E3 2019 Will Be About 40 Minutes

Toadie

@TeslaChippie haha i certainly don't mean in terms of quality, Pikmin is one of Nintendo's absolute best franchises as far as i am concerned, but sadly there's no denying that it is niche, it just doesn't seem to appeal to a wide audience. I would love to see it sells millions and millions. maybe a switch version would, who knows ?

Re: The Nintendo Direct Presentation For E3 2019 Will Be About 40 Minutes

I honestly think Nintendo will be thinking about next E3, they know it'll be big for both MS and Sony, with full blowout news on their new consoles, i reckon to combat that they will save their 'big guns' like a new Mario, Zelda, Splatoon, Mario Kart, along with Prime 4 and Bayonetta 3 for next year to not get lost in the noise and excitement.

With that in mind, this year is perfect to announce more second-tier games like Pikmin 4 or a new Paper Mario to supplement the already announced games. I think we're due some more Wii U ports too, Project Zero would be quite welcome for me.

@BlueRobin04 I adored Dark Moon personally, though i totally get why some people prefer LM 1, for me, 3 could go either way and follow on from either styles and i'll still love it, but maybe it should have elements of both ? So is more structured like DM to begin with but dramatically opens up later on ? that sounds good to me.

What i would really love is for Waluigi to be the main enemy this time, working alongside King Boo, it's the perfect opportunity for him to shine, and would bring a new dynamic to the series.

From a purely selfish viewpoint, i hope Animal Crossing doesn't take too much time up as i've no interest in that, Luigi's Mansion 3 on the other hand, i cannot wait to see more of !

Really though, Pikmin 4 is the thing i want to see more than anything, the wait is agonising, being a fan of Pikmin is not easy lol

Re: Nintendo Discusses Plans For E3 2019, Will Release A Video Presentation

Toadie

It won't take much to impress me this year as i'm already happy with the line-up as it is (cannot wait for Luigi's Mansion 3 !) but Pikmin 4, Prime Trilogy HD and a new Paper Mario would all be very welcome.

I'd also like a few last 3DS games to be announced to send the system out in style, i'd especially like it to get a Wario Land game.

Re: Review: Hob: The Definitive Edition - Panic Button Strikes Again With Another Exciting Switch Port

Toadie

Absolutely love this game, for those wondering how it plays, i'd say it has similarities to 2D Zelda, just with a lot less emphasis on combat and instead of dungeons (although there are some) the main world itself is the puzzle. Unlocking it little by little is how you progress through the game, mainly through environmental puzzles but sometimes by some light platforming sections.

I highly recommend the game to anyone on the fence, i thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish, it has a really unique atmosphere to it.

Re: Review: Yoshi's Crafted World - A Charming Construction Made From Familiar Materials

Toadie

Visually the game just looks incredible but i agree with the review in that the novelty of the hand-crafted feel has just about been exhausted now, i can't really see what else could be done with it now, which makes me hope that Nintendo will at least consider the idea of making the next Yoshi, Kirby, DK and Wario games 3D platformers.............yeah i know, not going to happen but i can dream lol

Re: Feature: The 50 Best Nintendo 3DS Games Of All Time - Zelda, Pokémon, Animal Crossing And More

Toadie

Man the 3DS is such an amazing little console, it's become my second favourite format of all time, only below the GameCube for me.

I'm gonna give some love to a very underrated and overlooked 3DS game - Hey Pikmin, i really feel like this game is so much better than the reviews would have you believe, in fact it's quite clever how it translates Pikmin's complex strategy gameplay into 2D, it even has some great levels where the blue and winged pikmin really get to shine, something the main series could learn from.

My Top 10 would be different to this, for me, Luigi's Mansion 2 is the best game on the system, it pushes the 3DS to it's limits i feel -

1. Luigi's Mansion 2
2. Mario 3D Land
3. Kid Icarus Uprising
4. Fire Emblem Awakening
5. Metroid:Samus Returns
6. Zelda:A Link Between Worlds
7. Kirby Triple Deluxe
8. Donkey Kong Country Returns
9. Pokemon X/Y
10. Hey Pikmin

Re: Video: Get Your First Look At The Nintendo Labo VR Kit

Toadie

Seeing this, along with the positive preview in the other article has really convinced me to get this, not day one, but later on, it looks like great fun, i really hope it's supported after launch, would be great if it was integrated into other first party games down the line.

Re: Get Discounts On Xenoblade, Metroid And More With The Latest European My Nintendo Rewards

Toadie

I nearly bought Hydroventure last night, might as well get it with this discount.

As much as i agree with everyone that this rewards system needs to improve, i've actually used quite a lot of these discounts, particularly the 3DS ones as i still have a long list of e-shop and VC games to buy on it, so far i've gotten games like the Wario Lands, Dillon and Super Little Acorns for cheaper prices, which i'm happy about.

Re: Devil May Cry 5 Will Be Considered For Switch If Dragon's Dogma Sells Enough

Toadie

Yeah........no

Seriously Capcom, after the RE pricing debacle and continuously not releasing any physical games in Europe, you're really not enamouring yourself to Switch owners Capcom.

I've got zero interest in Dragon's Dogma, but then, even the Capcom games i do want, they are making it as hard as possible to make me want to buy them, get a grip Capcom !!

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Has Plans To Revive A "Dead And Buried" Game

Toadie

Apparently Metroid Dread's story is completely finished and they were just waiting on the right time to make the game, could very well be now, Project HAMMER seems the other likely game, i'd be happy with either.

Less likely to be Shadow of the Eternal or Cosmic Walker, but again, i'd be happy to see both of those too, both seemed interesting.

If i was to have a pure guess of something i'd love, it'd be Battalion Wars 3, but alas, that's extremely unlikely.
