Re: Memory Pak: My Nostalgic Sonic 2 Playthrough Was A Treasured Gaming Moment

Tipehtfomottob

@Gerald Same boat mate. I can easily pick up Sonic 2 and play it to completion as though it was yesterday. However, back in the day when I got proper gud, I would ensure that I had collected every Chaos Emerald before completing Emerald Hill Zone. Doing it now though, I just give up with the idea and complete the game without them. To be honest, I now find Sonic's special stages too tedious to bother with.

Re: Limited Run Announces Two Double Dragon Physical Releases For Switch

I just can't get on board with the idea of 'modern' DD titles. I have such fond memories of playing DD on ZX Spectrum with my school mate pretty much every night over a full school year; me on one half of the keyboard and him on the other. It was the only Speccy game we could complete. A couple of years later when I got a NES I excitedly asked for DD for my birthday. My excitement though soon turned to disappointment upon booting up the game; there was no 2 player option, and to my young mind everything about this version seemed inferior in every way to the Speccy version. I've never played, or been bothered for, a DD since.

Re: Surprise, Surprise! Super Mario 3D All-Stars Prices Skyrocket As Scalpers Set Up Shop

Tipehtfomottob

Come on, did anyone really expect this not to happen?? Just to play devils advocate, should Angelina Jolie be labeled a scalper cos she sold a Winston Churchill painting for $11.5 million that Brad Pitt bought her for $2.95 million back in 2011? At the end of the day, scarce items, be it video games, art, luxurious cars etc will always be bought by those hoping to turn a profit somewhere down the line. As crap as it is, Nintendo gave us all plenty of opportunity to purchase 3D All-stars at its RRP. The only ones I feel for are those that get into Nintendo from here-on-in as they will never have the opportunity to purchase this collection. That's the real shame. That's who Nintendo have really screwed over, their new and upcoming fans.

Re: Limited Run Games Is Releasing A DOOM Classics Collection For Nintendo Switch

Tipehtfomottob

@Flashlink99 Unlike Super Rare Games, LRG don't have 'extremely limited' number of copies of their planned releases. They have a pre order window. If you complete an order before that window closes, you are guaranteed a copy of whatever game you have ordered once it goes into production. This is why it takes a long time to receive an order as LRG won't commence production until after the pre order window closes. Super Rare Games on the other hand only make 5000 copies of their games available and these are usually ready for immediate dispatch.

Re: Nintendo Switch Online Voice Chat Maintenance Scheduled For Later Today

Tipehtfomottob

Honestly, I'm absolutely gutted, and so are my carrier pigeons. They've been surplus to requirements of late while I've been actively using my phone for NSO Voice Chat, and as such have been taking full advantage getting fat on their lockdown asses. Can you imagine their shock when I lobbed them out of my 10 storey window to deliver a manual message like the ways before NSO Voice Chat. Fortunately, they remembered how their wings worked, but it was close. I use smoke signals next time it's down I think.

Re: Japanese Charts: Super Mario 3D World Stays Top As Switch Takes Entire Top Ten

Tipehtfomottob

The Switch has never had a price reduction and still continually sells strong with strong software sales to match. Unless sales are to suddenly dry up, there is no valid reason for Nintendo to release a Switch Pro anytime soon. I mean, who would they be marketing to? Out of the millions who now own a Switch, who would upgrade? I know I wouldn't. Long live the current iteration.

Re: Nintendo Wants To Know What You Think About The Demo For Square Enix's New Tactical RPG

Tipehtfomottob

@Absol Wow, I can't believe you feel that way. The Switch is an amazing console with, thanks in part to the eshop, a vast & diverse library of games available both physically & digitally. Don't take this the wrong way, but if this is how you feel, and you are a casual player disillusioned with the options available on Switch, I would suggest selling up and stick to the hundreds of casual shovel-ware games on mobile.

Re: Nintendo Gives Us A Look At The Switch Box Art For Zelda: Skyward Sword HD

Tipehtfomottob

LoZ:SS is such a brilliant game in the series. I'm really pleased that it's getting a re-release. As much as I love LoZ games though, I won't be double dipping. Not because of the price, or anything else deemed sinister from the pessimists/bokoblins, but purely because I still own it on Wii. I still have my Wii proudly hooked up to my TV via a component cable and in all honesty, SS looks amazing to this day. Also, I really love the Wii remote & nunchuck controls and couldn't even imagine playing the game any other way. That being said, I am pleased that Nintendo have implemented a standard controller option on the Switch version for those that don't dig motion controls. This can only broaden the appeal of such a great game.

Re: Get Over Here And Watch The First Trailer For The Mortal Kombat Movie Reboot

Tipehtfomottob

Looks OK I guess. Loved the original when it first came out as, like a lot of us oldies, we were caught up in Mortal Kombat mania. Watching it now though, it is pure Paul WS Anderson trash (naff CGI, poor use of Raiden, a cheap Sub Zero death, a crappy looking Goro and a duff way to introduce Reptile in the mix just for, ya know, the sake of it). I don't feel it from this trailer, but I hope the tournament is the main plot and not some war movie shenanigans al la Street Fighter The Movie. But I guess we'll just have to cross our fingers and look to la Luna.

Re: Gallery: Behold, The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword Joy-Con

Tipehtfomottob

@Rob3008 Call me cynical, but Nintendo won't release/design new Joy-Cons minus the dreaded drift. If they do, it will be seen as an admittance on their part that there is a drift issue, something that they still deny. Unfortunately, as PS5 users are now finding, drifting on modern controllers is very real and something we are now stuck with.

Re: Gallery: Behold, The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword Joy-Con

Tipehtfomottob

These are the best looking Joy-Cons yet. As much I love all things Zelda related, I'm not sure if I can justify getting this set though as I have two pro controllers & two pairs of Joy-Cons already. That being said, as I mainly play games using my Pro Controllers, I would find it extremely hard to resist buying a new Pro Controller if Nintendo were to do one in this Zelda theme🤞

Re: Sonic The Hedgehog Movie Sequel Gets Official Name Reveal Trailer

Tipehtfomottob

You heard it here first, I have some plot details. Robotnik finds the rotting carcass of the original Sonic design and re-animates him complete with metallic parts, rocket shoes and human teeth. Robotnik proudly names his new creation/sidekick 'Metal Sonic' and together they build the planet destroying Death Egg. With Earth in his sights, and the Death Egg fully powered up by Kyber Crystals... eh Chaos Emeralds, it is up to Sonic and Tales to complete a daring trench run in their trusty bi-plane in order to drop a payload into the exposed exhaust vent of the Death Egg before Robotnik obliterates Earth.

Re: Video: We're Not All That Impressed With Balan Wonderworld's Free Demo

Tipehtfomottob

@Expa0 Just played the demo. I'm sorry but you just can't compare this mess to Spyro. I didn't bother with Spyro back in the day, but earlier last year I took the plunge and bought the original PS1 trilogy on PS3 from the PSN store. So far I've only played 1 & 2, but I have give credit where credit is due and give high praise to Spyro 2 in particular. For a game released over 20 years ago, it played extremely well and had bags of charm to match. This demo for Balan on the other hand... meh!!! I would sooner play a well made old school 3d platformer over this.

Re: Feature: Limited Run Games On The Process of Bringing Scott Pilgrim To Physical Shelves

Tipehtfomottob

@Stocksy I'm in the UK and tbh, I've not had any issues dealing with LRG in regard to the hand full of games I have so far purchased. In fact the first game I bought from LRG was Dust: An Elysian Tale. This never arrived. I waited the prerequisite 30 days, contacted LRG and they sent a replacement copy without hesitation. The games I've bought since have arrived without fail. That being said, Return of the Obra Dinn seems to be taking a long time to be produced and shipped. An update other Q1 2021 would be appreciated. Overall though, as a company, I cannot fault them.
