I'm glad there's two games for once. That way, the future seems just that much brighter for the people wanting great releases. With more games out of the way, other games have to come, right?
It's a shame that Wiiware can't get a really awesome exclusive for once but that video has me really pumped up about this game now! I can't wait, I'm going to play me some Mega Man right now!..........or maybe tomorrow. It's getting a little late for playing now.
$10 seems fair enough, but I hope the DLC won't be overpriced like $5 for a new boss. If it costs $10 for the game and there are 8 bosses (not counting the final level) then that would just be a little over a dollar per boss! Let's hope Capcom makes wise decisions about the DLC.
@ Mickeymac I'm not sure if you went out and bought the game yet, but if you have doubts, do it. Kirby Air Ride is an awesome game, although not because of the racing, per se. City Trial is perhaps the best innovation I have ever seen in a racing game and they really need to make a sequel where there are multiple cities. It's a great deal of fun and perhaps the most underrated game on the Gamecube.
I hope they bring Wild Guns to the VC with full Zapper support. Sadly, as much as I love arcade style shooting games, this one doesn't interest me much.
I've only played Mega Man 1 & 2 so far and I have to say that they are pretty dang hard even on easy. (although I have managed to beat all the standard robot masters in 1) Hopefully I'll have a lot of luck when I'm playing this game...
I don't get the problem with Anniversary collection. You get all eight games, a few extras and you whine about two buttons being moved around? I don't have this problem because I have the PS2 version but still, it doesn't take long to get used to it, and it's cheaper as some have already pointed out.
Wait a minute, no DK bongo support? Even though it sounds ridiculous, that takes away my interest of the game significantly. I was happy to finally have a new game to keep them out for but now.....
I thought in the NP article, it was already confirmed that there were Megaman clones who would attack you.....or did I imagine that? (i'm serious....did I imagine that? I can't find it anymore.....now I'm scared...)
Hmm....this idea sounds cool, some Castleroid gameplay....wait a minute...I think I found the problem: "...another one that allows you to summon pugs that will then attack the closest enemy...." Publisher obviously hate his obsession with pugs! Isn't it obvious?
I'm getting this game no matter what the reviews say!.....ok, so maybe not but this is going to be a must-buy title, I can tell! I can't wait for my Nintendo Power to come so I can look at higher quality versions of those pics!
@ Bass X0 & Pj I think you guys mixed up Donkey Kong 3 (NES) with Donkey Kong Country 3 (SNES). The first one is an arcade port while the second is a Rare platformer.
Well, at least you guys got 5 VC releases last week. This is nothing to complain about when it was obviously coming. (since when does Ninty do 5 releases?)
I wasn't exactly paying the best attention while reading this review and when I came across the line, "we predict that numerous lives will be lost thanks to this issue" I got quite alarmed and started wondering what kind of crazy motions are in this game that could actually kill people!....and then I came back to reality and realized you meant game lives, not real lives.
If they aren't making any "hardware", then the only thing they COULD be working on was the ability to play directly from SD cards.....or something along those lines. I'm not too sure if that would work though, considering how long it takes to transfer to and from SD cards currently.
What.....the.....these trailers make no sense and are just getting creepier and creepier. It looks like the weirdest Rockstar employees left and judging by these trailers, they still appear to be doing their "thing".
This isn't technically an update, at least it isn't when comparing it to the other channels, which actually changes stuff. The Nintendo Channel is updated everytime you go to it......the mail that NOA sent was just to tell us that we can go and check it out. (And for people who don't know, the DS demos change every week so there IS a reason to keep the Nintendo channel)
Hm, I severely need this to play Sin & Punishment. It would also come in handy for Ocarina of Time as I hate playing the ocarina with the C-Stick. I would buy it, but I need to know a little bit more about how well it works before forking over $7 for it. EDIT: Apparently the guy changed how his site is set up since last time I looked because before it looked like it cost $7 for it, but in actuality, it's $37! That's extremely overpriced to me, I'll just wait for Nintendo (America or Japan) to start selling a remake N64 controller.
Sheesh Rexy, you REALLY don't want people to get this game. Just because it is short and the villians aren't very threatening, doesn't mean it won't be enjoyable for others. If it's half of what Paper Mario was, then it is still a great game.
Wow, Europe gets a terrific week, Australia gets a good week, and America will be left biting the dust on Monday (I actually hope this prediction fails). Oh, and just like every week, where are the C64 games, NOA?
I was already looking at getting it for the PS2 considering I haven't bought any NeoGeo games yet. I'll buy some as soon as these compilations stop coming out....I wonder what SNK is thinking, losing money like this?
This game serves no purpose to anybody who owns a single version of The Sims. And judging by the fact that The Sims have sold over 100 million copies worldwide, this game has no purpose to many, many people.
While this is off-topic, I've noticed that vc-reviews hasn't mentioned the new NP virtual console most wanted list yet. Here is what they said for whoever is curious: "WANTED! This month's poll results don't differ much from last month's but Mother has climbed from fourth to second place. You gonna take that, Mario and Chrono fans?
READERS' MOST WANTED 1 Earthbound (Super NES) 2 Mother (NES/Japan only) 3 Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (Super NES) 4 Chrono Trigger (Super NES) 5 Tie: The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64)/Super Smash Bros. (N64)
NP STAFF'S MOST WANTED 1 Mega Man: The Wily Wars (Sega Genesis) 2 Terranigma (Super NES) 3 Super Mario All-Stars (Super NES) 4 Super Punch-Out!! (Super NES) 5 Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (Super NES)
What classic games do you want to see come to the Virtual Console? Send us up to five picks (only for systems currently represented on Virtual Console) at vcpoll@futureus.com. We'll print the results in an upcoming issue. Note: This is for polling purposes only, and will in no way determine future Virtual Console releases." -as quoted in Nintendo Power V230
Wow, this article pointed out so many ways that Nintendo is being irresponsible that I'm not sure where to start or what to say. Well, there is one thing that absolutely must be said, and that is that Nintendo should treat the developers and publishers of VC/WW games with respect. They are trying their best on supporting Nintendo's service and supporting consumers with new products and Nintendo just locks the game up in a vault and releases it whenever they feel like finding the key.
HOLY ******! SMRPG!? If this game is anything like Paper Mario, (which I've heard they are similar), then I will love it to death! Plus, if it comes out on June 16 over here that would coincide perfectly with the first Monday I have off for Summer! Please come to the US soon!
The channel is fine, but I was expecting more DS demos and exclusive videos. I didn't see any problems so far with loading though, I'm not sure why you have that problem, kimbeattie.
So......Japan gets an exclusive MSX system.....Europe gets the exclusive C64 system......and NA and Australia are left in the dust. What have they ever done to deserve this kind of treatment, huh, Nintendo? I want some obscure gaming goodness!
This seems to be emulating the style of arcade Punch-Out! rather than the NES and SNES versions with the whole 1st person perspective. Too bad the controls aren't good, the graphics and music are pretty decent.
I already have Smarty Pants (I got it pretty cheap). Is there anybody who has both who can say which one is better? These are great family games and it would be nice to know which one gets a better reaction.
I'm shocked that they decided to price Pop at 700 Wii points. That game doesn't look like it will be taking 700 points-worth of time from me. So far, LostWinds, FFCC, and Defend Your Castle look the most convincing to me. Now it's time to wait for reviews!

Re: USA WiiWare Update: SPOGS Racing
@ Luigi
I thought that was Gamespot because of the whole Kate & Lynch thing. I've found IGN good most of the time but maybe I'm in minority for this.
Re: See Mega Man 9 In Action
Man, I can't wait for this and I'm still in love with the graphical design choice. Even the music is sounding like the classics!

You have my vote for Peggle WiiWare edition, here! That game was great fun in the little snip-it I played from the Orange Box.

What the heck? Why make a video that doesn't show a thing about the game or gets you excited for it in any way? Strange.....and a bit stupid as well.

Re: Review: My Pokémon Ranch
If you can't trade pokemon from diamond to pearl through this game, then even Pokemon Box was a better deal than this! What a ripoff....
Re: Hands-On With Eternity's Child
I wasn't interested in this (I don't like Tim Burton either) but at 500 points, it's a pretty convincing deal.
Re: Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa
Looks interesting, but I already have so many other great games to buy, that this one I will probably pass on.
Re: Dig Dug
This looks like a faithful arcade port, but I'd recommend a namco collection over $6 for this.

I second that wanting! Didn't the US get the C64 too? We (and Australia) shouldn't be left out.
Re: Hudson Interview - Alien Crush, Bomberman, Tetris, Blue Oasis
I'll probably get the Bomberman online as long as it isn't overpriced. After playing 93 with some friends, it would be nice to try a newer version.
Re: Review: Toki Tori
I guess I need to get this game now as it looks too good to pass up. Curse you WiiWare! I'm buying too many video games as it is!
Re: US VC Release - May 19th - Sky Kid
