No SMRPG? That stinks, I wanted it today so I could have time to play before school but I guess not. I'm not willing to buy Ys instead because I need to save my precious points for what I really want and not just spend on stuff that gets good reviews (I've learned my lesson after not liking Metal Gear Solid or F-Zero)
Oh man, I can't wait for this to reach the NA VC. I've been waiting so long and I've been saving my last 900 points for an occasion like this. Sadly, I'll need to move something for it to an SD card but it'll be worth it.
Anyways, this game looks fun, but are it's controls really similar to Wii Play's? I couldn't understand how to make that one work right so hopefully this doesn't use the same style.
@ x.SuperMario.x Ok, so I didn't word that correctly. I really should have said that those comments about the controls were those people's opinions that I don't agree with. I mean, IMO, the game controlled fine and a lot of other games on the market control very similar to it. (albeit those were mainly originally flash games)
I couldn't agree more with Adamant, I mean, if you guys REALLY wanted those games, you would have simply bought them in the collections they are already in. Although, I guess I can understand the problem with the button for people who played the NES original, if you never played the game before, there is no excuse not to get the collection on Gamecube. (I have it on PS2 though, so no button worries for me!)
Well, I downloaded the demo and I gotta say, all the comments about the controls are really uncalled for. Jumping was fine, shooting was fine, everything controlled fine. The graphics were nice, even if the animation was a bit lacking, and it was very well.....average. My only problem with it is.......it simply isn't fun. I don't know if it was just the demo or what but the game didn't give me any sense of satisfaction out of playing it. Maybe a new demo really is necessary.
It's interesting to see a non-game get a high score but I still don't have any interest in getting this game. I'd rather get Endless Ocean which interested me in that you could actually swim around with the fishes rather than have to just watch them the entire time......I already have a (very dirty) fishtank for that!
As surprising as this may be, I've never owned an actual copy of Tetris and am looking forward to this......or should I? Can anyone tell me the differences between this version and the already out DS version?
I'm not interested in this. I already on a real fish tank and even it gets ignored, so the chances of anyone in my house using this game is slim-to-none. @ Tabbyluigi Do you have salt-water fish or something? Fish in my home typically live for a very long amount of time and we are very bad at taking care of them (cleaning their tank, etc.). Maybe you need to feed them more often?
Man, I would much rather have had this game than Eternity's Child which never appealed to me at all. I hope this somehow gets made because as Bahamut and others have said: Platformer + RPG = WIN
Well, I'm glad that this week's releases are good and I'll probably download Star Parodier eventually but right now I have no room and I need to beat some VC games so I can delete them. (although a hard drive would be more convenient, hint hint)
I never thought I'd see the day that Dr.Mario would be replaced with such a mediocre title. I mean, come on, PONG TOSS!? Who can seriously find the idea of that fun? And, I would just like to say I would buy Toki Tori if it was 100 points less and I had more memory (I have 900 points and almost zero memory)
If you guys are sick of Nintendo's crap then stop complaining about it here and actually write them. NoA doesn't have time to read every comment on every article about the VC.
Yeah, everybody was saying that 3 VC games and 1 WW game was too good to be true.....but absolutely none of the "confirmed" VC games came out today! This was probably a ploy just to get us to buy Wii points. Remember guys, Nintendo doesn't have your money when you download a game, but when you buy points.
Well, I already have the Mega Man collection for PS2, I'm planning on getting those Neo Geo collections and Wild West Guns doesn't really interest me much. Hmmm....Ys is looking pretty good right about now.
@ Shortay What's the obvious reason? That it was originally a flash game? Don't let that fool you. It's much better than the flash one and well worth a measly 500 points. It's actually the only WiiWare game I have so far (although I would like to get Toki Tori)
@ Draygone Uh, you do know that you can download short demos of games that are either timed or just one level stuff, right? I have at least two games on my phone that I play 100% for free! EDIT: I just tried to find my phone on the compatibility list but it only has model SCH-950 while mine is 930. For 950 it says it's incompatible so I'm guessing it's a no-go.
The developers at Ghostfire obviously worked hard on this game and the music sounds good, but like I said before, waving my arms around in a dancing matter just isn't my kind of thing.
@ DEMEON212 I agree with thewiirocks, don't knock it 'till you try it. It's far superior to the Flash version IMO. Well worth 500 points. Now I just need to try out those cool Easter eggs....
Why are you guys complaining about 3 games? It's not like the US has gotten any 5 game weeks this year! (or C64 games for that matter) I wish I could change my region like Australia. I want to try out the Commodore too!
Wait, Marvelous? I thought it was Natsume....oh wait, that's the publisher. (but I'm serious, I can't recall ever hearing the name Marvelous before....)
Yes, this is great news! I haven't run out of room yet, but I know I'm going to by the end of the year if I plan on downloading any more big Wiiware or N64 games.
I don't care much for a retro Castlevania, but I would love to see a new 2D Metroid title. Personally, I prefer the 2D ones to the 3D Prime series (except maybe Hunters and Corruption)
"beloved franchises"? I've never heard of Big Kahuna in reference to a video game.....or board game. I'll probably pass on this unless the review is stellar.
@ Deep4t Well, I know I don't have a photo printer, Deep4t and my dad is a semi-professional photographer. I think you have to pay a lot of money to have a decent photo printer and besides, this is "casual-friendly" isn't it? (although I would never use this function if it came to the US. Why would you do it like this when the internet is so much better?)
Is Super Mario Kart similar to Mario Kart: Super Circuit for the GBA? If so, I'm definitely not interested. The controls in that game are way too slippery and it's extremely easy to go off the road and slip. (not to mention the stupid need for coins or else you fail)
Man, I wish Nintendo would buy the Lemmings rights from Sony, they barely use it! The only things they've done with it was some lame Eye Toy thing and a PSP version.....that's it. I don't have an Eye Toy and don't have a PSP so it looks like I'm out of luck. I miss Psygnosis (that's how you spell it, right?)
That Chatting Parodius game sounds like something I'd enjoy. I love Japanese announcers, they always provide a good laugh in how they always point out how horrible someone is.
I love music games but hate dancing or doing anything like this in front of people. Sadly, this will have to pass. I have too many games to buy as it is.
Still not interested in this one. There's something about animals, extreme violence and the spanish language mixed together that I don't find appealing.
Hopefully their next Wiiware project will not be a Frat Party games game. I'd rather have something more traditional, and if they're as good as they think they are, it would be interesting to see.
It's great how in the opening cutscene, Dr. Light tells Mega Man "Be Careful! You haven't done this in a while!". That's a great allusion of Capcom to there not being any games for a while.
I have Anniversary Collection for the PS2 and have tried Mega Man 1, 2 & 3 on medium difficulty and I have to say that 2 is feeling tougher than 1 right now. I've beaten the normal bosses so far on 1 and just have Wily's stage left while in 2 I still have about 4 robot masters left to go. That's quite a bit of a difference.

Re: Get Ready To Go To Battle In Swords & Soldiers!
I'd rather have an overhead RTS myself but if it gets a high score I could change my mind.

Does anybody else think Concrete Man looks too fat in his sprite rendition? Otherwise, this is awesome news. I can't wait for this game.

Re: Wild West Guns - Fact Sheet, New Images And Video!
It seems fine but I already have Ghost Squad and this doesn't really seem to offer anything truly unique...
Re: Wallace and Gromit's Grand Adventures - WiiWare Bound?
I would definitely be interested in this coming to Wii in some way, shape or form. Wallace & Gromit FTW!

Either this game is tougher than it looks, or the guy in the video stinks.
Re: Japanese Virtual Console list - August 2008
Still no N64 titles? The next one better have zero emulation problems, otherwise Nintendo is just slacking off.

Better emulation than PS2? There goes my plan for a cheaper version......

Wasn't there a new Sid Meier's Pirates not that long ago for the PC? I think it came out in 2004 or something along those lines.

Re: Mega Man 9 Official Box Art
Ah the 80's.....a simpler time of simpler pleasures......playing with power......8-bit graphics........horrible box art........

I have Anniversary Collection for the PS2 and have tried Mega Man 1, 2 & 3 on medium difficulty and I have to say that 2 is feeling tougher than 1 right now.
