Looks better than Pong Toss graphically but probably won't be too good gameplay wise as no WiiWare games seem capable of handling real motion controls.
Whew..I read every single comment. That took a while. Anyways, yeah, I'll probably be getting the DSi. I never got a Lite and just have my regular silver DS so I'm just about ready to move on. I can deal with not having the GBA slot as I never used it much anyways and when I need to use it, I can always pull out my old DS or my GBASP.
About the WarioWare, DSiWare stuff. I they are trying to say that it will cost 200 points to buy a package that has multiple WarioWare microgames within it.
As for the whole deal about a new site just for DSiWare stuff: don't do it. For VC and WiiWare it made sense since they were entirely different markets but even though these will be on different systems, I think they are similar enough to WiiWare to keep it on here. Or, just have it on the same name on this site but just put a /DSiWare at the end of the name. You can just put a link at the top for it between "Games" and "Comments".
Must say I'm a bit disappointed to see that no N64 games make the list but I suppose it is YOUR top 20 list. I would make a list myself, but I haven't played enough VC games to truly make a good one.
Good list though. Will have to check out Gates and Lords of Thunder. They sounded good before and you make them sound even better.
I always say to myself that I will buy all the games on each Top 10/20 list and I never do it. Maybe this time it will be different but we'll see. Oh, and I just want to say that it's great to see some more editorial type content on VC-Reviews and not just a ton of news updates.
Eh, no CV III review yet? Sheesh, you'd think vc-reviews would have had that ready ahead of time considering it's Halloween time. Ah, I'm just poking fun, I'd never get worked up over something so little. And I wonder if Devil World will ever come to the US VC considering it never came here before and it's trophy wasn't in the NA version of Melee as well. Stupid sensitive Americans need to calm down, it's just a game.
I'm interested by this game mainly because it should be shorter than the standard RPG nowadays. I'm so sick of these RPG's that keep dragging on and on with useless content, just tell me the ending, dang it!
I personally would have no problem with this if they had just kept the term as Wii Points instead of Nintendo Points. Why change the name if they aren't compatible? Plus, Wii Points is shorter and rolls of the tongue better. (And DSi points sounds pretty cool)
@ Corbie Oh yeah, I forgot about those. If you could please mail them back to me now, I'd be much obliged. You see, I don't have any video game plushies at the moment, only a Fox Bobblehead from the worst (IMO) Starfox game yet, Starfox Adventures.
Meh....I never like Banjo much anyways. I have the first game and it's ok, but the item collecting is a pain in the butt. If it was simply platforming with just a few optional collection quests, I'd be ok, but that game went too far. (also, the new Banjo game for the 360 looks horrible, not only graphics wise....am I the only one who thinks that it's a complete departure from the old gameplay/genre?)
You people do know that Nintendo doesn't rate the games, right? That's the ESRB's job. Nintendo simply makes sure the game is playable and then release it when they feel the time is right (although with some guidance from the creator's too)
Hmmm...I'm ok with DLC when the game has been out for a while and has gotten stale but DLC so soon? That means it's probably done already and should have come with the game instead of being sold separately. Man, I love you Capcom, but the crazy things you do.....
Well, I have been waiting so I will probably have to check this one out. Hmmm....although, Genesis games usually have worse graphics and music than their SNES counterparts. Tough choice here.
@thewiirocks I don't think it's Capcom's fault, it's probably NOA's. They probably just release the games whenever they feel like it and this is what happened. Also, don't be surprised if some other game comes out on Monday instead of MM9, knowing Nintendo.
This looks...interesting. The little comic here was funny but I'll wait and see for an opinion of the game. (go Polish developers!) (I'm of Polish descent)
Strong Bad 2 is doing pretty well, that must mean that a lot of people liked episode 1. I still think it's weird though to see My Aquarium up so high still. I haven't played it yet but by the looks of it, it seems like you do about the same amount of activity in it as My Pokemon Ranch and MPR got a negative response from this site.
I guess that's good news but I wish Nintendo would give a release date for US Platinum already....or at least announce that it's coming! (because we all know it will) As for MPR, it's an ok game as I enjoy having the game give me missions to catch Pokemon I haven't gotten yet but like post #5 said, I wish you could actually use it as a real storage and be able to withdraw from any game instead of the lameness that it currently is.
Considering I already have the MM collection for PS2, I don't need this game but I must urge anyone who has yet to play this game must buy it now! It's terrific and no matter how hard it gets, you always know that you can still do it.
Oh, and Mega Man 1 did NOT have a mediocre soundtrack. I demand you take that back now!
Hmm...I wasn't expecting a good score, but a 3? Demon212 seemed to like it in his Youtube video and I'm usually ok with complicated games....not that I can think of any, but still. I may give this a try someday, although it would have to be when I feel like splurging cash as 1500 is pretty steep.
I don't own a single version of Tetris (I know......I really want one though!) I wonder which one I should get first. The original GB one is a classic and is dirt cheap but low on modes, the DS one is chock full of extras and cool Nintendo themes but is really pricey and the Wiiware version is pretty much in the middle for everything but isn't portable. Oh...choices, choices.
Am I the only one who thinks the graphics resemble a horrible tech-demo? Seriously, these graphics are inexcusable, even for a downloadable game. No thanks, I'd rather play DYC.
Well, I got a bit of a kick out of Bomberman '93 by being able to have 5 people play at once, but with 8 in this one, I guess it's a must have! Although, it is a shame there is no longer a disc version.
Bomberman AND Plattchen? Man, I can't wait for those to come out over here. Hopefully one of them will somehow come on Monday. (even though we are already supposed to get Potpourrii.)
"Do you know something we don't?" He's probably talking about a rumor that going around because the maker of Castlevania said it would be interesting to make a retro Casltevania game or something to that effect.
"When the game is released in the West there's every chance this will change and the game may be sold 'complete' for something like 1500-2000 points. We shall see." Doubt it. Have you seen the top 20 chart for the US? Mainly cheap games are topping it and Space Invaders Get Even is cheap at 500 points. And people won't know what hit them when they later find out it's sold in parts....but too bad for them, as they already bought the first part! It's a great plan, really.
Hopefully we will get this on time and Nintendo won't delay it for some un-interesting, cheaply made game that's for a market already overcrowded enough (like puzzlers.....although we've been pretty lucky with the quality of them so far)
Man, I can't believe that for the first time ever, a new game hasn't made it onto the charts. I also can't believe that My Aquarium is number 1. I mean, it's not a bad game necessarily but it didn't seem like an instant-buy to me. What a strange week....(oh, and did I mention that Spogs should just go die?)
Corbie said, "The SD card being slow is a valid argument against it. But lets also remember that Nintendo didn't even put a backlight into their Game Boy system until 2003 despite pleas for it for many years. We'll just have to see how quickly they do something about this problem." You do know that Japan got a Gameboy that had a backlight long before 2003, right? The only problem was....we didn't receive it. The strangest part though, is that after putting light in, they took it out for the GBA.
I didn't read the whole review yet, but Corbie, if you're from the US, then why are you spelling color as colour and calling the Genesis the Mega Drive? Or is it the Editor(s)'s fault?
Potpourrii? Really? Not interested. Looks kind of bland and uninteresting to me. And to whoever it was that said we were lucky to know about this ahead of time, I don't agree. I don't like knowing what Wiiware game is coming out because it ruins the excitement and anticipation of Monday. The only schedule I would like is a monthly one so we have a general idea of what to expect.
Below 1000 points? If Nintendo keeps with their wishes, then this game is a must-buy (unless it gets a horrible review). I hope the multiplayer mode is fun.
Great, I'm glad Mario RPG is finally released....but why couldn't they have done it a week earlier? Today's the last day of summer for me, school starts tomorrow and now I won't have as much time to play. Curse you school! CURSE YOU!!
The game's name and description made it sound boring, but after watching DEMON212's first look video and reading this review, I've gotta say my interest has piqued. (The price of 800 points helps too)
I don't know if it's because I've only been watching the older cartoons of Homestar but their voices sounded kind of off in this trailer. Is this that problem that they said was credited to Flash having different audio filters than what they use for video games?

Pretty cool video. Wish there was more Megaman though and less random guy sliding on couch.

Cool looking game and a really long interview, good job! I'll be sure to get this if review are good enough.
Re: Review: Midnight Bowling (WiiWare)
Wow, that's pretty bad. A two? I wonder if the version on the Midnight Play Pack for the DS is any better.

I hope the C64 comes over to North America sometime soon, or at least at some point. This Wizball game sounds pretty cool.
