Flat Heroes developer Parallel Circles has confirmed that it is bringing the game to the Nintendo Switch later this year.
Described as a "minimalist super intense local multiplayer game", Flat Heroes boasts cooperative and competitive modes for up to four players and is mainly focused on surviving the many hazards which populate each level.
Here's what Roger Valldeperas, co-founder of Parallel Circles, had to say about the news:
It was a no brainer for when we were asked to bring Flat Heroes to the Switch. Flat Heroes is a unique game and now we can finally confirm that is coming to a unique console.
Flat Heroes is currently available on Steam.
Thanks to LegacySmikey for the tip!

The more the merrier.
How is the Switch even able to run this game? It must be close to maxing out the system.
And surely step 4 should read: "Call your friends and get some pizza!" Not the other way around.
Tough decision but I think I'll choose the.........square.
B-but where are the graphics? This game looks nothing like The Last of Us! Nintendoomed as usual.
Are you kidding me ?!
Flat Heroes is actually looks Flat (Lame)...
Not even looks like a proper games.
more for smartphones.
Is this coming on the App Store. Looks fun
Looks like an Atari 2600 game. $1.99??
2-5 bucks and a decent single player mode and I'm sold.
I was about to laugh and ask who in their right mind would buy something like this. But then I watched both videos and changed my tune quite quick. It looks like a lot of fun to play - surprisingly. If it comes for around £10 or less, I wouldn't mind getting it.
Seems pretty entertaining. Can the Switch even handle it though?
This actually looks fun
Having played it, it actually is rather fun.
reminds me of a more action/multiplayer approach to Thomas was Alone. Now sure that game was made on the story alone, but I love the simple fluidity, looking forward to some multi-player chaos.
@ThatNyteDaez I had the same thought process. Only after watching the video did I think, actually, it looks pretty neat. The particle effects after hitting something with a dash attack are particularly cool. I'd consider it at a sub-£10 price.
Looks great to me but I admit I haven't heard of it before. Probably won't be able to resist this one or even want to resist it.
Any new local multiplayer games should all go to Switch if possible. It's just the perfect home for them.
As for the graphics, I don't think the game would be hurt with some extra layers of interest, BUT this type of game gains greatly from clarity above anything else in terms of visuals, so it's a good choice.
Lacks some personality, though, I think, that could be added without sacrificing clarity.
Atari 2600 was my introduction to gaming so I'm a fan of the throwback to those graphics with modern gaming updates and enhancements.
I love the minimalistic style and frantic "bite sized" action. A game doesn't need to be flashy graphically to have fun gameplay.
I'm cautiously optimistic about this one, but from the trailers it looks like it could be a whole lot of fun!
People buy demos.
You can throw anything in people's throat, they will buy anything. Even 'Super Intense Local Multiplayer'... games (?).
@Pahvi I don't know that game, so I can't satify you. ^^
I know it got mixed reviews though. 'Demo' eventually would be a bit forced for such a large scale game.
another multiplayer game that I will not get but that is fine....some else might like it.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE
I see your point. It's why I hope you only ever play wii u games that push the system to the absolute limits. Yup, no Super Mario World 3D for you, nor Captain Toads treasure tracker. Pikmin 3? Pah, not for you - could have pushed the system more. Wonderful 101 was quite pretty, but could have looked better so no.
A good game is a good game is a good game. My second most played game on my switch after zelda? Graceful Exploding Machine. Does it "push the system to its limits"? No. Is it a great game? Yes. Sometimes the best ideas don't wear pretty clothes.
100% positive rating on Steam. Looks interesting.
This is a game for gamers. . Not cut scene movie buffs.
