Re: Final Starter Evolutions, Gen I Treats and Region Guardians Unveiled for Pokémon Sun and Moon

@Tempestryke I'd imagine "Ethan, Soul, and Lyra" (given Wally's as in ORAS, they wouldn't regress), though I'd love to see Kris return. Hell, given her design, she could be reappropriated as an Alolan-raised.

As for the trailer, it's wild to see Red so grown, even though Green looks so similar.
...Did I type "Green"? I must've meant Blue, but if that's the case, they surely would've changed his pants and shoes, right? looks at his rug in HGSS Oh, yeah...

Re: Review: Corpse Party (3DS)

@Wexter What hurts is I have yet to get past "the hair", but through Twitter hype and the Blood Drive box art, I've gleaned insight into who (canonically) dies. I am bummed I couldn't've had the unspoilt impact, and saddened to who in particular I noticed.

Re: The 'Masuda Method' Lives On in Pokémon Sun and Moon

TJF588

Count me skeptical, but wouldn't there still be no competitive use of weaker Pokémon which don't have any decent move to use as a Z-Move? At least Mega Evolutions provided situational shifts in stats, types, and abilities, so I'd assume that unless there's more support-type Z-Moves (like Eevee's), we're still only gonna see Pokémon which could hold their own regardless.

Re: Video: Did You Know Gaming? Pays Tribute to Satoru Iwata in Extended Episode

I was fond of him from the Nintendo Directs (frickin' adorable, like Hiro from Heroes), but I did not realize the full scope of this great person, and perhaps he'd been fine with that. But after all that set-up on his ambition, determination, and compassion, when the "Kyoto sky" line was dropped, I was holding my face back from breaking down. Damn shame he was taken out with so much ahead of him.

Re: Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Makes the Jump from DS to Smart Devices

TJF588

I'm fine with this being mobile-only ubder one condition: port the Investigations games and bundle Apollo with them as a "not-Phoenix Trilogy". May make decent financial sense to 3D-'em-up all in one batch, and sell those efforts as a single package, so they can't lose revenue from only the mainline game being bought were they to split them up.

Re: StreetPass Update Adds New Minigames and Premium Option to Hold 100 Hits

TJF588

Relieved I already have Premium, but damn, I just sank $14 USD on Super Mario Galaxy just a couple days ago (man, I hate Mario's physics). Between this and Picross 3D Round 2, I'm droolin'!

Also, figures that with just two blue panels left on mine, Puzzle Swap now has Bonus Chances to get multiple of a visitor's panels at once.

There's some endearing combination to the shape of Marie's eyes when she smiles with these hi-def models. Paired with her surprise in the (North American, at least) Splatfest results, it gives her character this warm interior that melts out past her sardonic wit. Like, she fronts a snarky aloofness, but lets it down when getting into a performance, and is caught off guard when reciprocated with the same. </fawn>

Re: Nintendo Download: 7th July (North America)

@Utena-mobile Hell, they could get Chrono Trigger DS and Final Fantasy VI Advance on the Wii U's, if they want to dance around the Wii -> U discount function. I'd hope for the Euro-version of the latter, though (e s p e c i a l l y for FFIVA, good gods).

Re: Head of Sonic Team Explains Why Dr. Robotnik Started Going by "Eggman"

TJF588

Never having been so invested in the Sonic-verses, I was aware of "Robotnik", but I can't tell in what proximity of that awareness "Eggman" was normalized to me. Guess they just had both floated into mind, so I'm cool with either. I like the idea of a mad genius branding his ambitions with the Egg-y monikers (and mockers, as duly derided for the sometimes literal lunacy?), with Robitnik brought out for particularly personal – even volitile – stakes. Like Ratigan between jovial headman and unhinged force a' nature.

Re: Meet The Edgy And Mature Fan-Made Pokémon Game That Aims To "Fix" The Series

TJF588

First off, I rebuke anyone who claims that employing "cussing" (as I've called "swearing") represents immaturity to shove it up their @$$. Adults cuss, and especially adults caught up in situations that are most suitably consumed by a matured person, situations like domestic violence, or street-level organized crime, or you name the less-than-savory situation.

However, I do agree that conflating "mature dialogue" with "now featuring F-bombs!" does indicate, if not a lack of understanding the concept, then not relaying understanding of it. As basic as Pokeymans dialogue has been, there have been heavy situations or poignant concepts brought forth in the official games. "Mature dialogue", then, would be not tailoring it with kid gloves, but bringing across a more natural lexicon according to the characters, their backgrounds, their current situations, and the target audience's familiarities.

Like @SakuraHaruka put it, "'M' in ESRB mean that is for 'Mature Public'." I have downloaded this fangame, but have yet to figure how it holds as entertainment for a not-so-squeamish adult.
