Some of you may remember Fairune, a budget RPG that released on the 3DS eShop a couple years ago. We thought it was a pretty good time for what it was, and evidently the game acquired enough of a following to justify a sequel. Fairune 2 has been in development since nearly the first one released, and now it's been announced that fans won't have to wait much longer to try it out.
CIRCLE Entertainment recently revealed on Twitter that Fairune 2 will be releasing on the 3DS eShop on 20th October in North America, with a release in Europe on the 27th. We'll be sure to give this one a review, hopefully it'll be just as good if not better than its predecessor.
What do you think? Will you be picking this up? What did you think of the first game? Drop us a comment in the section below.

The first was excellent. I will be buying part 2. It was a short game but at the price it had excellent puzzles to solve. A mini Zelda classic type of adventure
I'm interested in this- never played the first. How was it? I thought it looked interesting
I've thoroughly enjoyed Fairune, so I'll definitely make it a point to check out this new sequel!
(speaking of sequels to Flyhigh Works games, I need to get back to playing The Legend Of Dark Witch 2 and Witch & Hero II soon)
I enjoyed the first and would definitely buy this at the right price.
I always kind of felt the first Fairune sort of seemed like it was a full game and world that was built off of the comparative "demo" of Witch and Hero. Considering both games were made by the same company, I'm not truly convinced that wasn't what they actually did.
Is is also $3? That would be a really good deal!
Ooh! I want.
Oh, nice!! I really liked the first one. It made me feel nostalgic for an era of games I know almost nothing about. Like, Zelda, for example. I heard so much about it and had read about it before I got to play it. In my mind it was this magical game with a desolate world, lots of mysterious temples, and a princess you had to save. I imagined it a lot like Fairune.
Instead it turned out to be much more harder and well, I'll just say the NES has a lot of limitations. Fairune is the Zelda and Final Fantasy games I always thought they were.
Loved the first one!
Can't wait to buy the sequel!
Video said on sale 7/13/2016. Lies.
@Zach777 That's its Japanese release date.
I liked the first Fairune too, it was pretty solid despite its odd gameplay mechanics and how very short it was.
On both iOS and 3DS, still've yet to finish off Fairune, so maybe I should rack my brain about it some more so's I can look forward to this'n.
The first was a great little game and one of those surprises tucked away on the e-shop. Glad it's getting a sequel!
The first game is free on iOS. I have it for 3DS but didn't get very far before getting bored.
Also, sorry to be negative, but that's one of the worst trailers I've ever seen.
@mozzy1 I recently played it and I quite enjoyed it. Its only a few hours long, but you can grab it for $2 or $3 in the US so it is worth it.
Recently bought the first. Still need to finish it. Will probably get this one too.
@Zach777 That's the Japanese release date.
Sure am getting this new one. The first was quite nice.
Definitely can't wait. Hoo man, October is a quite a scare for the amount of games I've invested in this month for my Wii U and PS4 (Paper Mario: Color Splash, Dragon Quest Builders, and World of Final Fantasy).
Yeah, I played through the first one on my Android tablet and enjoyed it, so I may give this a look.
Sweet! I almost forgot about this but now I'm hyped, the first one was so simple but so good!
I enjoyed the first one enough that I'm eager to see what they did with the sequel. If this has a better combat system, something closer to Zelda for NES, it could be a wonderful retro series. If it keeps the rather dull combat from the original, eh, well I have the puzzles to look forward to at least.
