Its interesting that the video plays homage to Sega consoles, but shifts to Xbox systems when Sonic clearly has the most successful runs (and complete collection) on Nintendo systems since Gamecube

If Pokemon becomes a Sega property, which assuming Sega still supports the Game Gear beyond mid 90s.. Pokemon would have make the jump to full color on the Red and Blue version. Also, if they further release it on Dreamcast, it could make a similar jump to the online arena.. and the option to bring the critters out through VMU instead of Pokéwalker. Once again Sega was ahead of its time in its technology.

@switchforce its actually 1080 Full HD as stated in the Indiegogo website. Since the unit makes the Switch thinks that it is in dock mode, the graphics will be of higher resolution.

Hovever, I dont think the 11.6’ display is a touch screen, making certain games (eg. TWEWY remake) which uses touch screen extensively unplayable in portable mode (unless played in tabletop mode).

Loved the Saturn pad, which comes with additional clicky L and R buttons making it the best non-analogue controller ever! The 6 button Genesis pad and SNES pads are close runner-ups.

So true, one of the best and most memorable generation of video games, with Sega giving its best, last ditch effort on the home console front. The Dreamcast actually outlasted it’s designated shelf life, as even after it’s discontinuation in 2001, Japan still had official game releases all the way till 2007.

Maybe Nintendo was planning to make the Switch OLED IP68 water resistant, and designed the flap notch narrower so that water have less chances of entering the game slot.. that is until they forgot about the air vent..

@GrailUK i believe tabletop tate mode is possible with Switch OLED, just that the angle will be very vertical, almost 90 degrees

Certainly with Blast Processing the Mega Drive charging mat will charge the fastest out of the 3…

@gus_campos Actually the Tencent Switch in China plays all switch cartridge games from different regions, its just that the eShop games and online features are region locked.

At the very least, The Pokemon Company (owned by Nintendo) is still churning out new mobile games such as the recent Pokemon Cafe Mix.. so there will be some Nintendo ‘elements’ in future games
