I'm all in. And I really hope that this 'additional functionality on New 3DS' thing becomes a trend because there certainly aren't any N3DS exclusives to look forward to.
I play a lot of serious games and these Cutie Pets titles are a perfect counterbalance to those. It is kinda strange that the first one was single player and this one is obviously aimed at a party vibe, though. I believe it's also worth mentioning that owning one of the games will net you a discount on the other, making what is already a reasonably priced distraction even more attractive as an impulse buy.
I feel like this would be a great way for Nintendo to start the new year here in the west. NoA in particular could certainly use the goodwill right about now.
As far as this supposedly quick launch goes... wasn't the last quick, stealthy console launch that of the Saturn? Let's all take a moment to think about how well that went.
Was completely unaware of what this was until now. Had heard the name, of course. But that was it. The trailer made me want to play Squids Odyssey again.
AND I just remembered that I actually have a loose cart of the original laying around somewhere that I picked up for a song way back when. Should probably try that first, huh?
I can see myself getting so angry at one of those boss fights that I'd never play the game again. And this seems like a headphone game so having grating, almost intolerable enemy noises was probably a bad choice. I'll check a few more reviews before writing it off completely but I certainly don't feel good about what I just read.
@PlywoodStick Fair enough. But this just seems way too public and legally iffy for a teaching tool. It would take a fool to not be able to recognize the talent and dedication on display here, so it seems like a huge shame that this'll likely be shut down.
If these guys really have the ability to design an all-new, proper Zelda dungeon then I kinda feel like they are wasting their talents on this. Like, maybe make your own game? Just spitballin' here.
There are some bangers in there if you don't already have the likes of Captain Toad, W101 or Kid Icarus: Uprising. The only things on the list that I want and do not already own are Rune Factory 4 and Adventures Of Pip. Their prices are tempting (physical copies of RF4 on eBay still go for almost $40), but I know that I'm about to be eat up with XCX so they're just gonna sit there for quite a while.
This is a joke, right? They could have replaced the Native American garb with literally ANYTHING except a cowboy outfit. The change is way more tone-deaf than the original issue itself was.
Captain Toad was a reasonably priced game that ended up feeling like a huge bargain because of the content on offer. And this seems to be the exact opposite of that. I really wanted to play this but I want even more to not feel like a sucker by buying it.
You really haven't lived unless you were playing this at launch when your lobby would completely fill up in about 15 seconds. It was some of the most manic fun I've ever had with a video game.
@xxAcesHighxx Speaking of, there is a huge patch for 3DS version out today that seems to have cleaned up some of the bomb frame drops and stuff. So weird that he made these comments right before that released.
If you have an issue with this, just think it terms of posterity. There will not be many functioning Wii U units around in 30 years but I very well may still want to play the original Splatoon then.
The New 3DS version of Isaac was released as a broken mess, but Afterbirth expansion does not stand up to Tyrone's rigid quality standards. Ooooookay. Did they ever even fix 1001 Spikes?
I've cleaned house on these Atlus digital fire sales over the last few weeks. Got SMT IV for $15 and then Devil Survivor 1, Devil Summoner, EO Untold and EO IV for 10 each. Easy on the wallet, hard on the SD card.
If you have a lot of folders, this is a godsend bease these babies cerainy snazz them right up. I have gotten several badges for free each day, but I did spend a dollar earlier to complete a Splatoon set. The only other time I can see myself putting actual money in would be when some sweet Kirby badges come up.
I feel like they should have also placed Captain Toad, Kirby Rainbow and Yoshi's WW boxes in that end shot. They're great family games all and feature at least as much meaningful local multiplayer as Splatoon does.
I became completely obsessed with getting all of the keychains in Triple Deluxe and I can see this going the same way, just at a much slower pace. Too bad you can't cash in play coins at the Badge Arcade.
Played my free shots last night and this morning and managed to grab a few snazzy badges for my otherwise droll 3DS folders. Also managed to be completely charmed by the little rabbit fellow running the joint.
It creates unnecessary bad blood, for sure. There is no pulling of wool over anyone's eyes as to the differences between release schedules and pricing anymore. It is right there for everyone to see and it's completely ridiculous.
They really need to get that demo out in PAL territories because that's what convinced me to get the game. My 6-year-old niece has been burning it up also, and the commercials are on Cartoon Network almost constantly. I'd say it'll do well, but until I see Jibanyan floating in the Thanksgiving day parade I'd say that Pokemon is still at the top of their class.
If the basic tennis mechanics are solid, I could not care less about the mini-games or lack of additional content. I can see myself spending a whooooole lot of time playing this online with an amiibo partner.
Remember the VC games we got last year on Wii U leading up to Halloween? GBA Castlevanias, Gargoyle's Quest 2 and Demon's Crest. This year we got a game from what is possibly the least scary series in history. I want to smash some pumpkins on NoA's lawn.
@vitalemrecords Never gonna happen. As long as the fans continue to carry their sad torches for Sonic it is in Sega's best interest to keep up the charade of pretending that these games were good.
Our grasping here is pretty telling as to just how little info we actually got from the presentation. And for the record, TWILIGHT PRINCESS HD CONFIRMED.

Re: Video: Three Minute Showcase Demonstrates Action and Looting in Wii U Exclusive Lost Reavers
Can't wait for the scathing Polygon review due to that cluttered HUD.
Re: FAST Racing NEO Release Date and Pricing Speed Into View
I dunno if I can justify this and Heist both at the same time when I'll most likely be getting eShop cards for Xmas. Grrrrrrr.
Re: You'll Now Be Able To Play Mini-Games During Loading Times
"Vomits its data" was really the best way you could have phrased that? Otherwise, this is awesome news.
Re: Video: Three Minute Showcase Demonstrates Action and Looting in Wii U Exclusive Lost Reavers
Collecting loot is generally one of my favorite things to do in a game so I'd say that I'll enjoy this a bit if it holds together and comes to NA.
Re: Circle Entertainment Claims That Nintendo of America Only Allows Up to Four Themes Per 3DS Game
I just want the Legend Of Dark Witch 2, damnit.
Re: Digital Foundry Gives Xenoblade Chronicles X a Thumbs Up

Re: Review: Cutie Pets Jump Rope (Wii U eShop)
To assuage any fears, YES, there is a Mandeer stamp to unlock in this game as well despite that being his only appearance this time.

Re: Parent Trap: Is 3DS Download Play The Perfect Family Feature?
@RupeeClock Same here. I had no clue that Luigi's Mansion supported it until reading this just now.

Re: Rumour: NX Set for 2016 Release With Nintendo Targeting 20 Million Shipped Units
I find it completely nuts that not even a whisper has leaked out from those around the devkits as to what exactly in the hell the NX is.

Re: Feature: Five Nintendo Games Perfect For Multiplayer Fun and Thanksgiving - 2015 Edition
Cutie Pets Jump Rope is a MUCH better local multiplayer game than Splatoon is. Nobody wants to pop those stupid balloons at 30fps.
Re: Nintendo Download: 26th November (North America)
Another Cutie Pets game? Yes, please.
