Re: Poll: Vote For Your Favourite GameCube Games

StormtheFrontier

I never realised how many games the Gamecube actually had, for some reason I always thought the situation was more akin to the Wii U.

Also I must be misremembering because I was almost certain I had a Jade Cocoon game for the Gamecube but after failing to find it on this list I looked it up and I must have had it for the PS2, I suppose it has been a long time.

Re: Two More NES Games Join The Nintendo Switch Online Service In August

I'll give Nintendo the benefit of the doubt on Vice: Project Doom as people seem have enjoyed it back in the day. Kung Fu Heroes however looks dreadful, if Nintendo are only releasing two games a month they need toboth be high quality.

Or they could release Earthbound Beginnings, why they haven't done this yet is honestly baffling, or better yet they could add Gameboy games and give us Pokemon Pinball, although knowing Nintendo we'd be more likely to get games like Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle instead.

I think I need to see some gameplay of this on Switch to get a feel for it.

Also can someone who's played this answer this question? The review mentions Permadeath and Five playable characters, so is it saying that you only get five characters and then it's game over? or is it game over if any character dies and it's just you can pick from a pool of five? How does the permadeath work in this game?

Re: What Remains Of Edith Finch Revealed For Nintendo Switch

StormtheFrontier

Played this recently on PS4, it's ok. It has some pacing issues, the ending is a bit of a let down and some of the stories are clunkers, it's a little unintuituve in some places too but it's well written and there are some really effective moments, the Finch family feel really fleshed out, with Lewis and Sam being the highlights for me.

It's not an essential purchase by any stretch, but for what it's worth I usually can't stand walking simulators and I don't regret playing this.

Re: There's No Need To Worry About Paid DLC Or Microtransactions In Team Sonic Racing

StormtheFrontier

So first of all it's nice to get an assurance on any game in this day and age that there are no Microtransactions or day one DLC.

I've read that statement and it's strangely worded, it can be interpreted as no DLC at all, only free DLC or only ruling out day one DLC (where they mention they aren't charging 3 bucks for characters available at launch). There could well be more characters coming down the line, either free or paid.

Anyway I was on the fence about buying this, but I think i'm going to pick it up, hopefully it'll keep me interested until CTR comes out.
