Nintendo wants us all to enjoy summer with our families, as it's kicked off its next big sale — and it's all about multiplayer games.
From now until 7th August at 11:59pm PDT, Switch owners can head on over to the eShop to get huge discounts on multiple games that you can either play with or against your friends, family, and even complete strangers. Also, keep reading to learn how you can get discounted Switch eShop credit to save even more on these deals.
There are some big hitters in here, from Super Mario Party, Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, and Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game - Complete Edition, but why not check out the highlights from the US eShop first before making a decision:
That's nothing short of a pretty beefy list, don't you think? There's plenty to choose from — even a ton of games you can play on your own, so you don't have to share with anyone else. Don't worry, we won't say anything.
What's better still is that we can get you even more discounts here. You can save 10% on all eShop credit at our store – simply choose your preferred voucher below and use code NLIFE10 at checkout!

Is this the time I finally buy Age of Calamity? Probably not, but stay tuned!
No Switch Sports? I will wait. I only want it for bowling, and I'm tepid about it as it is.
Hmm a few things on my wishlist. Might pick up a few.
How has Mario Party Superstars still not gone on sale yet since being released?
So, Sonic Colors Ultimate is a multiplayer game now, apparently.
And yet The Stretchers is still not on sale. C'mon Nintendo! It came out years ago and barely ever has been on sale. And when it is, I miss it.
It's a shame you can't actually see the thing outside in all that glorious sun-she-ine
Game Sale Price MSRP
1-2-Switch $34.99 $49.99
The gift that keeps on giving as the six year old launch game that should have been a free pack in at launch gets a 30% price break, that's a 5% decrease per year, so at that rate only another 12 years and it will be worth it. 🤑
@rjejr 1-2 Switch is a terrible game. It does not deserve $5! Believe me. The "idea" behind the game is nice, but when you play it...after 30 minutes - 1 hour....you won´t play it again. Unfortunatly.
If you want a great co-op adventure platformer from this sale be sure to check out JUICED!
These sales look really good! Might get Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 and the Sega Genesis collection soon
Clubhouse Games and Tetris Effect are definitely worth these prices. I think this is what I picked them both up for and they surprised me and are now some of my most played titles.
Kind of unfortunate timing, I've been meaning to pick up Age of Calamity for ages and this is probably the best price I've seen for it plus its DLC but I just got Xenoblade and got Three Hopes last month so don't think it's really worth picking up right at this moment.
Anyone who owns a Switch and doesn't own and constantly play Monster Hunter Rise is dumb and I refuse to be their friend or save their life if I see them fall off a mountain into a ravine. Even if I have a rope I'll pretend I don't have a rope.
why does nintendo hold so much pride in 1-2 switch lol
@boxyguy Perception of value. Companies take different approaches to creating value. Some, like Ubisoft, Capcom and indies - have sales frequently and deeply. They generate high sales but they condition the end consumer to wait.
Nintendo is more like Apple, Disney. Apple would rather throw their phones in the sea than discount. Android is perceived as a peasant's phone - and it is. Apple is content being premium. Nintendo would rather throw all of the copies of 1-2 Switch into the sea than cheapen their overall branding. Otherwise they'd what? Make a few 100K? Nothing worth cheapening their brand.
They make their consoles inexpensive as a lead-in to their more expensive, properly priced games. Diff'rent strokes to rule the world.
@Sonos
Yeah I think it’s time for me to pick it up.
I was cracked out on World back when it was released.
@rjejr If a 1-2 Switch pack-in title would have raised the price of the Switch, Nintendo made the right decision by not including it.
I'd pick up Mario Party Superstars if that was on sale. At least I could play with randos online. Super Mario Party, though, no thanks I'm good. Now Monkey Ball is mighty tempting.
The switch is the worst console to get for multiplayer (online)
Will we ever get Nintendo Selects for Switch, Super Mario Party, BoTW, 1-2 Switch, ARMS etc should have been 24.99-29.99 by now as a normal price, in 3DS OoT was 19.99 since forever and was 13.99 on discount. 34.99 for 1-2 Switch after 5 years??? And BoTW hasn't been on sale for a long time now (I want the DLC). Greedy.
@Sonos Thank you for the specific scenario.
@Would_you_kindly you’re not even trying son. 2/10.
@WiltonRoots trying what ? The switch is fun to play local multiplayer on games that support it but it's online is rubbish
@Sonos "Some, like Ubisoft, Capcom and indies - have sales frequently and deeply. They generate high sales but they condition the end consumer to wait."
AC Valhalla sold faster than previous AC games, and has made the most amount of money of any AC game. RE8 sold like 5 million copies in the first five months, and it didn't have any sales until six months in. The Witcher 3 GOTY has been on sale for around £8, yet Cyberpunk was preordered around 8 million times.
Game sales don't hurt the value of games. They certainly don't hurt the ability of these games to make good returns on investment, which is the real purpose of businesses. Those that are super excited for a game will still pay full price to experience these games sooner. Sales just help widen your audience. Refusing to offer proper sales like Nintendo and Apple just gatekeeps low earners out of the experiences and gives their fanbase a "better than you" attitude.
@john_lennon999 I totally agree, but Nintendo tends to re-release titles toward the end of a products life. For the Wii U and 3DS, it was one year before the Switch launched.
@IronMan30
It's not very common for Nintendo to discount DLC, so I am leaning towards a "yes" if you are thinking of buying it. However, the game itself has a very run-of-the-mill discount.
Finally picked up Doom Eternal since the Deluxe edition went on sale for under $25, which was my target. I refuse to pay Nintendough for their 15 year old online "service" though so couldn't care less about MP.
@Sonos Wrong, Apple is considered peasant phone for anyone with half a working brain. Only 13 year olds and their "I NEED one or I won't be cool" mentality actually think apple products are superior in any way. Also I think Monster Hunter Rise is one of the most boring experiences I've had on my switch after 2 hours of the free trial, so no, we can't be friends it seems.
@Tandy255 and what about including it in the NSO Expansion Tier? 😉
@Tandy255 Ocarina Of Time 3D became a select on 2016, and around that time many more AAA titles too (DKCR, Mario and Luigi, Kirby, Animal Crossing New Leaf etc) and 3DS was discontinued official in 2019 I think. If a new console is released in -let's say- 2024 1-2 Switch etc will be full price for 6 years! AndI think Nintendo doesn't seem to have plans for Selects for Switch I think because maybe the next console will be backwards compatible and they will keep selling BoTW for 69.99 forever.
@YoshiF2 That is a great idea (along with other games)!
We liked a few of the mini games on 1-2 Switch, but didn’t return to it like we did with Wii Sports or Nintendo Land.
@Would_you_kindly apparently not as rubbish as you think if Smash Ultimate, MK8D, Splatoon 2, MH Rise, etc are still very active online games
I know Nintendo games never drop in price because they always sell well, but that absolutely can’t be true of 1,2 Switch. That game should be like $5 now or free. Make it part of the upgraded subscription or something. I have never met anyone in person who’s even played it
More of these old games need 80% off rather than 30%.
I might pick up Good Job! the closer the deadline comes. I've been interested in this for a while but it's still a little expensive in the Mexican eShop.
How about Mario Party Superstars? I've no interest in Super Mario Party at this point thanks to all the negative reactions I've heard.
@Not_Soos Yeah, I know right? Sonic Colors is the one I'm thinking about picking up. I just finished Origins and Mania. I'm a little hesitant to pick-up Colors only because of the bug issues. I know that the audio being messed up was why I passed on it. I think it's mostly been patched now. Right???
@Elock I mostly have all digital games except the first part Nintendo games. I have to pick those up physical because it's the only great discounts I can find.
@thinkhector
So I never actually played the original Wii version of Colors, so I'm probably not the most qualified person to answer this. But for what it's worth, I enjoyed my time with Ultimate quite a bit. I didn't walk away from it thinking, "Wow, that was a broken mess" or anything.
The game did crash on me once, and there was an annoying section in one of the levels where a robot is supposed to shoot lasers at you, but you can't actually see the laser beams to avoid the blast. I thought they had fixed the laser issue, but AntDude just released a video where he discusses modern Sonic, and he claims the bug is still there.
I don't recall any audio issues, though. I think they may have fixed that. There definitely wasn't any seizure-inducing sporadic light flashes while Sonic turns into a fish or anything, lol. I can't speak for diehard purists of the original game, but for me, it was good. I don't regret my purchase.
@Would_you_kindly it’s the tone of your comment, it immediately comes across as low level trolling. Like something you’d read on /v/. The sort of thing that can get you reported round these parts - and the banhammer has been coming down hard recently.
DOOM Eternal is a buy at $15. I've been waiting for a new lowest price ever and here we are. IMO the best deal of the group.
