Pokémon GO Fest 2022 has now come to an end - ohhhh - but no, don't be upset, because the end of the event brings with it the best gift of them all: the stats! (Yay!)

This year, these stats are extra impressive. As the first in-person Pokémon GO Fest since 2019 - thanks to an annoyingly persistent global pandemic - Niantic went all-out with three different live events around the world. Now, in a video on the Pokémon GO YouTube channel, the team has come together to thank all those who attended as well as provide us with some pretty big numbers for the events.

According to the video, a total of 1.75 billion Pokémon were caught during the event by millions of trainers around the world - we know you're supposed to catch 'em all, but jeez. There was also an impressive 150 million kilometres (over 93 million miles if you're in the land of Blighty) of ground covered throughout the celebration - tell that to your Fitbit.

Who said that the season of giving needed to wait for Winter? On top of the stats of the catching and walking variety, over two million gifts were sent during the events and 94,000 Pokémon were traded.

If these stats tell you anything, it's that Pokémon GO is still very much alive and kicking. The 2023 celebrations should be quite something to behold!
