Meh, vocal minority. Ignore them, Nintendo has thought through with this transformation with their online services. It all boils down to execution, we don't need Miiverse back.
At least they're outright open about the Wii U death. But they have to give a refund process like Playtonic as some people only backed the Wii U version.
@AlexSora89 Sometimes, copyrights work out for the better. Just look at Double Dragon and River City Ransom. Because Arc System Works owns the rights to those franchises, they can survive outside of a defunct company.
@Anti-Matter Kingdom Hearts is primarily a Sony franchise. All the games that have come to Nintendo are the side-games. And even so, the compilations are on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
@AlexSora89 I can elaborate upon the two potential situations. Relinquishing rights basically means that Sega no longer has the rights to Wonderboy (like they no longer have the rights to Rez). Licensing on the other means that, they still own the Intellectual Property, but it's the developers that are making the majority of the profit out of the game (like Fear Effect Sedna).
@Captain_Toad Why do you care more about a video game franchise than the working conditions of the people who programme, create assets and direct the game? That's beyond selfish and feeding rights into the hands of Konami. And they're not rumours, they are facts. Various reputable sources have confirmed this. For you to "defend" a corporate entity like Konami is dissapointing just for the sake of an overpriced Bomberman revival game.
@singingbrakeman It's funny, ever since Sammy acquired Sega and created the consolidated holdings company, Sega Sammy Holdings, Sammy never jeapordised Sega gaming structure. Sega's gaming and Sammy's pachinko business were unafilliated with each-other to this day. Konami on the other hand is compromising home video gaming for their pachinko business. Unless Kojima gets an apology or the workplace practices change, I will never directly purchase a Konami game.
@nab1 American Graffiti was a really good movie and that was directed by George Lucas when he was still talented. I respect Miyamoto's legacy, I just feel as though his credit is merely due to nostalgia and nothing more.
@River3636 Are you not aware of the workplace abuse that Komani runs its company with? corporate greed happens in the industry all the time, I'm accepting of that. The difference with Konami is that they treat their own developers just as badly as they treat their customers.
@Shiryu So? they've already been funded by Konami so they've got their pay. Plus, do you know how good their working conditions are? they're probably being treated as badly as regular Konami staff with unwarranted surveillance and humiliating side tasks. Your money is going directly to Konami.
People can hate Ubisoft all they want with their relationship with Nintendo, but at the very least, they're trying to make the most out of the Nintendo Switch in its early years.
I really hope we get a three in one collection in the west as opposed to just Sega Classics 2. That's means that were not losing out on any of the 3D Sega games.
Good. I have a reason to keep my PlayStation 4. Not everything has to be ported to the Switch. And for people saying that he was rude, he wasn't. He just got fed up of a request that involved a lot of NDA on his part.
@Shiryu Cheers man, Armor King is very under-rated as a Fighting character. But back to topic, these "fan-games" are more trouble than they're worth now. Essentially, what these creators are doing is asset flipping. Nintendo is well within their rights to be as adamant as they are with take-downs.
On the one hand, these are non-profit fan projects that pay tribute to Pokemon, but on the other hand, these people are using the intellectual property without The Pokemon Company's permission. Ultimately, it's better off to go in a Freedom Planet or Axiom Verge direction.
@DanteSolablood I always seen it as more of a cultural bias if anything. Japanese consumers are more supportive of Nintendo and Sony because they're domestic whilst Microsoft is more of an overseas product.
@Equinox the Wii U is the second best home console in the Japanese market and look how that panned out for Nintendo. I'm so glad that I bought myself a PS4 Slim, I love Nintendo, but no offence, if the majority of third parties are going to Sony then that's where I want to be. I want the widest variety of games available to me.

Re: Warner Bros Resurrects Disney Infinity Studio Avalanche For Cars 3 Video Game
I've come to realise, shortly after Disney moved away from first party development, Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite was confirmed. Coincidence? I think not!
Re: I Am Setsuna Confirmed as Launch Day Release on Nintendo Switch
This game was a collosal loss for Square Enix. It's baffling that they're not doing a physical release for this game.
Re: Racing Apex Puts The Pedal To The Metal For A Nintendo Switch Release
Is it shameful for me to demand Virtua Racing HD after seeing this?
Re: Japanese My Nintendo Store Goes Live For Switch Pre-Orders, Promptly Crashes
Nintendo is always successful in the domestic market, it's the international markets that they need to target!
Re: Poll: A Week On, How Do You Feel About the Nintendo Switch?
As Nintendo fans, are we really to judge? Nintendo needs the general market, they already had Nintendo fans assured with the Wii U.

Meh, vocal minority. Ignore them, Nintendo has thought through with this transformation with their online services. It all boils down to execution, we don't need Miiverse back.

I am a maniac for Kingdom Hearts so I'm so happy that's it's number 1.
Re: Fan-Made Prequel Metroid: Rogue Dawn Released On NES
Oh dear... another talented developer that'll face the chopping board by Nintendo's legal team.
Re: Ubisoft Confident Switch Can Be A "Bridge" Between Home Consoles And Mobile
It's a sad reality that the handheld gaming market is non-existent for Western developers.

To clarify, is this docked or undocked?
Re: Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap Confirmed For Nintendo Switch Release This Year
@AlexSora89 Either Sega relinquished the rights or it's being licensed like Shenmue III.
Re: Video: Mix It Up With This Puyo Puyo Tetris Switch Trailer
I'll buy this on the Switch for the portability and support of Sega localisations.

Really, I could go on, but you get the point. Stop avoiding this fact with rose coloured lenses for Bomberman, it's a legitimate concern that's damaging people's lives.

I'm not surprised with the support. Bandai Namco have helped with Smash Bros. and Pokken Tournament so they'd definitely be on board.

I refuse to purchase anything from Konami. Their corporate greed has shredded them of any humanity.
