Good stuff!
I really wish Nintendo would release their music online, and on Spotify. Their music is so iconic and amazing, and I would love to be able to listen to it easily on my phone.
I need Shining Force music.
Alex Kidd in particular takes me back.
I already have the skies soundtrack on CD 😀 It is the best soundtrack ever! It is the best game ever! It is the best thing in the world ever!!! 😀😀😀
Get back to us when skies of arcadia is on switch virtual console.
@Randomlight I'd much prefer a remastered version, then a full sequel!
Now I can listen to Beyond the Galaxy all day long with a decent audio quality for that bass sake! o////
Actually, already listening!
Freaking out to the Jet Set Radio tracks right now. Awesome stuff
YESSSS NIGHTS!!!! I've been waiting forever!
That's kinda cool.
Digging these Samurai Bloodshow songs.
Pretty cool. NiGHTS and Jet Set (Grind) Radio were big parts of my gaming experience as a teen
VGM is a gargantuan hole in the digital music streaming library as a, err, whole. It's just as well Spotify allows for integration of local tracks, but it's just a shame that cut-and-paste automated MIDI facsimiles constitutes 90% of the content.
I prefer physical soundtrack CDs. I recently bought the The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Original Soundtrack for 54 dollars on eBay.
@Megas MP3 files have bad sound quality, especially when converted from YouTube.
Definitely a nice move and compliments the ever growing Data Discs record collection nicely!
Now if only some of these games had an HD remake, or at least a Steam release... (looks at Skies of Arcadia)
Skies of Arcadia for the Switch VC/Remake plox :3
I hope we eventually see the soundtracks of Panzer Dragoon and Shenmue added soon.
Man, this really made my day. Great news!
@Drac_Mazoku And lose their multi-platform appeal? No way!
@TreasureFan - IIRC you can play the soundtrack to Panzer Dragoon by placing the Saturn game disc into a CD player. I believe it was one of the Saturn discs that used Red Book Audio for the music, so it should be compatible with most CD/DVD players. However Sega's game data is usually on track 1, so don't try to play that track on audio equipment.
No Streets of Rage.
My inside tears are flowing on the outside. I still want most of these games to have a sequel.
or to release when they say, 'spiritual successor.' Cough, JSR, cough.
Skies of Arcadia. <3
Streets of rage and super shinobi next please, assuming there's no copyright restrictions due to them being composed by Yuzo Koshiro.
@ChristopherM Oh yes, I do remember that functionality, however I was just saying that maybe SEGA could add few more little known or fan favorite game soundtracks to the Spotify music service.
I know some soundtracks have already been released by fans on youtube, but it's nice to see SEGA give a sign that they haven't forgotten many of their beloved franchises.
