@nkarafo their interview articles are often amazing. The one they did recently about the old gaming magazine was great.

@JHDK not grumpy at all but out of the billion of these stories that get posted I would say 0% of them actually turn into the reported game actually getting released. Especially when the story is centered around some BS store that 2 people shop at and journalists write an article about "NEW INSERT GAME REPORTEDLY LEAKED BY"

Wow, I just watched the trailer again and damn does this game look absolutely awful. Look at how lifeless the cows and townsfolk look? It's like the coders said nooope to anything moving other than your character. It's such a shame that the Harvest Moon name is dead now. I know all about the licensing issues but still Natsume bring in a team that has a clue.

Thankfully Story of Seasons Friends of Mineral town was amazing and gave me what I wanted in a Back to Nature style remake.

I would in a heartbeat spend $80 on a Wrestling game if it had current rosters and the old school No Mercy mechanics with a fresh coat of paint and maybe some smooth online play as well as a better storyline where Steven Richards isn't the main villain.

It scares me that Nintendo thinks the Switch can go on another 3 or 4 years. It's a fun console but when it can't even run a game like this docked it's time to build a new more powerful console.

What a dumb dumb thing to make. Sega and Microsoft should have come together and made a new Sega Game Gear to be XBOX's answer to the SWITCH.

Honestly I would but this in a heartbeat as I would a Paper Zelda game.

Star Fox is the one genre Nintendo has to bring back to Switch with a proper well controlled game.

I'd love a massive adventure where many parts are Starfox 64 and then many also go Starfox Adventure's.

Nintendo could kill it this year with no new games if they released Metroid Prime Trilogy, Mario HD remakes, sneak out Zelda BotW 2 and Zelda OoT HD before the end of the year and then land some heavy hitting games spring 2021 like Metroid Prime 4 etc.

This is a stupid idea. Never had my Switch get hot to the point it needs a cooler even plugged in after hours of playing in handheld. This looks awful as well and doesn't cool inside the machine where it actually matters. From the outside in you are better off playing in a cold room lol.

I'm a fan of side scrolling action games but damn why can't someone do it like Goemon's Great Adventure did it? Would love a HD remake of that or just straight sequel.

I hope for the best for this game but Natsume hasn't made a good Harvest Moon in probably over ten years. I'm fully aware that Natsume isn't the true makers of the older games and the entire confusing stupid history of this franchise. Regardless of who owns the rights and used to make them it doesn't change the fact that there hasn't been a good game with Harvest Moon as the name in 10+ years. Hope that changes but I can't see them suddenly caring now.

I'm sorry but after the disgrace that Tony Hawk 5 was I'm not interested unless it's an entirely new team. This game needs to stop trying to do too much and go back to the Tony Hawk 1-3 formula and have some amazing music to go with it.

@Tisteg80 I would play a wrestling games with absolute no names as long as it had a good CAW and No Mercy style everything.

Hell I'd even take the No Mercy sluggish framerate over the junk we get these days.

So I just received my collectors edition on PC and downloaded DOOM 64.....and wow the game looks unreal in 4K on an Ultrawide monitor. The fact that a Nintendo 64 game got Ultrawide support is incredible. Fantastic work by the dev team. Will pick up the SWITCH version also.

Finally some awesome news. So excited to play this on Switch.

Fam is a joke site. Literally every game seems to get 8 or higher. I don't doubt this game will be amazing but I'd never base anything off a site so free to give out high scores.

@Bucky Activision were the last holders who took over after EA. Neither of which made many good Bond games outside of The World is Not Enough which EA made for the N64/PS1.

The third person shooter Everything or Nothing was probably the best post GoldenEye Bond game though.

How the Bond owners messed up after GoldenEye was so well received and didn't give Rare the license is always painful to look back on.

I mean it's true. I think the system has already peaked in terms of what we can expect to see graphically.

When you look at a launch 360 game and compare to one that came out towards the end there's a massive difference. I'm not seeing much advancement on the Switch.

So the console really is outdated now especially when you compare to PS4/XBOX ONE.

Portable is great but Nintendo needs to finally be more powerful or at least just as powerful as everyone else for once.

I'd be down with this however I think Nintendo and Microsoft should keep working with Rare and get us some Conker.

The game is really up there with the greats once you play it. The problem is barely anyone has had a chance to experience it.

If this game had come out on PS2 it would likely be considered one of the best RPG's of all time.

Shame games like this, Powerstone, Canon Spike etc all faded away to time from coming out on a console that sadly didn't last long.

@nkarafo in theory doesn't it have to win if it's an official release? It will be the only platformer maybe even game released in 2020 so if that's the case it wins lol.

@Dman10 You do realize that the PS4 is severely higher powers than a Switch right?

Crying shame this franchise isn't given more respect by Nintendo. If I recall Star Fox 64 has been essentially remade twice. Once for the 3DS and then Zero was basically the same game again with poor controls. Why they feel the franchise isn't worth a true sequel is confusing as a really deep Star Fox game with some kick ass online modes that are along the lines of what Crimson Skies online were would be really fun.

These guys need to play Stardew Valley and try and compete. Harvest Moon for now still has weight in its name but its been a long long time since we had a quality one.

@Octarian I think in order for a ported game to be good on Switch the game in which it's based on needs to be stable to begin with.

Fantastic article. I'd love it if everyone who worked on both GoldenEye and Perfect Dark grouped up one last time and made a retirement FPS that just killed it. And they all said see we were the best a shame on you for not letting us make more of them.

I love how this guy is to many people up there with the biggest minds in gaming but in reality over 80% of the games he's made have be straight up trash. Fable 1 I think got very very lucky and then they never made a good sequel to it to the point the studio closed. I just don't get the hype on him personally.

I have always wondered how a HD Component cable using a GCN vs a HD Component cable using a Wii playing a GCN game was in comparison. I assume that using a Wii to play GCN games in HD is equal to or better than using the Gamecube itself right?

At this point if you buy or support this franchise you are quite literally stupid. Quite honestly an embarrassment to baseball is this current version of the franchise.

Just a quick question. Retro Studios is in essence the Rare of Nintendo these days as in they make the heaving hitting solid games for them right? So before they were put on to Metroid Prime 4 they were working on a game but if I recall we still don't know what that game was right? So in theory they could still be finishing that game up or have it done waiting to launch?

Something to hold me over until Story of Seasons Friends of Mineral Town comes out. I really hope they stealth drop that within the next week or two.

I'm so damn old that I remember when Duke Nukem used to be a side scrolling platformer haha. Amazed they never went back to his roots and made a new side scroller.

Has anyone played this on Switch yet? I loved Harvest Moon 64 and Back to Nature as well as Stardew Valley. This game looks good but hard to say if it plays good.

I think I'll pick this up. Was going to Cave and get Stranded Sales but to be honest that's the game worth waiting for a massive sale. This game looks like one the developers could use the sale more.

Game looked good at first but after more videos looks like it wants to be several games and does none well. Pass until $2.99

How was this game for the single player? My backlog should be illegal. Astral Chain, Gears 5 single player, this game, Yooka Laylee and the Impossible Lair, Borderlands 3 and I end up just playing R6 Siege on PC all the time anyways lol.

From the first footage you could tell this game was going to be total trash.

Fair review when you factor in they delayed the game almost a year and then had the nerve to say they were listening to fans about improvements. The slowdown in handheld mode in Grandia II is awful. This is a game from 1999 and it can't even do a TBS game on a console in 2019? The visual glitches are brutal as well where in a cutscene my characters face is missing plus endless audio issues that have been around forever. Gung Ho is a total joke of a company and I heard they are bleeding money so hope they go under and someone else ends up with the rights to these games.
