The Switch isn't exactly in short supply of farming, social and lifestyle sims, and later this year Natsume is adding another one to the mix - Harvest Moon: One World. The game was announced in May, and more recently we got our first look.
Now, NIS America has revealed the limited edition physical offering for $79.99 USD, launching at some point later this year. You can pre-order it right now! It comes with a physical copy of the game for Nintendo Switch, an official soundtrack, an animal lapel pin set, a "fruitful season" cloth poster, and a special collector's box. Take a look below:
Here's a bit about this latest entry in the series along with a trailer (courtesy of Nintendo Everything):
Can you imagine a world without tomatoes, strawberries, or even cabbage? In the latest entry in the Harvest Moon series, that’s the situation players will find themselves in. Only an old book gives hints of what once was... Buoyed by a mysterious discovery, players will find themselves setting out on an adventure that spans not only their hometown but the whole world! What kind of people and places await? From the gorgeous beaches of Halo Halo to the snowy mountains of Salmiakki, there’s literally an entire world to explore.
Alternatively, you can pre-order a standard copy from GameStop for $49.99 USD. If you go with this option, you'll receive a bonus chicken plush (thanks, GoNintendo).
Will you be adding this to your Switch library? Tell us down below.

Nope. Not my Harvest Moon.
Hm.... 🤔
I will wait the gameplay video to see if Natsume have learnt someting or still persistent with their mediocrity.
These extras look nice. Too bad these collections are always hard/expensive/impossible to order to my country.
Maybe if the Amazon preorder comes with the chicken plush, I will consider preordering physical. Already missed the chance to get the Story of Seasons cow plush.
Who ruined Harvest Moon? I swear the last good looking one was on the GameCube
@Bolt90 Mm, in... 2004 I think, the company Marvelous acquired Victor Interactive/the Bokujō Monogatari series. That was just before the GameCube games came out.
In 2014, Marvelous decided to cut ties with their previous localization team, Natsume, to use their in-house team XSEED Games. They didn’t try to get the Harvest Moon name, they just kind of left Natsume with it. Iirc, it came as kind of a surprise to Natsume. XSEED chose to go with the new title Story of Seasons for their future translations.
I imagine the BokuMono games were some of Natsume’s biggest titles, so it was probably continue to try and make games or shrivel and die and leave a lot of people out of work and a random company to acquire the name. Dunno for sure, so that’s mostly speculation on my part...
So I guess it depends on whether you mean the SNES game up to the PS1 games, the GameCube to first 3DS game, or any of the HM games after that.
Those aren't harvest moon cows
Harvest Moon: Under New Management
Instead of doing things like this, can’t they just re-release the good old ones? Like Grand Bazaar, A Wonderful Life, Magical Melody, etc. Or are those owned by XSEED now? 🤔
@Kiyata They are owned by Marvelous/XSEED. Natsume only has the rights to the Name but not the games alone. That is why Marvelous was able to release Mineral town but under the Story of Seasons name.
$30 over msrp for a half dozen pins, a cloth poster, and a soundtrack cd? Ehhhhhh...we haven't really seen much gameplay yet, and the previous game (Light of Hope) was...average at best.
Thought of this game the other day on gamecube and made me want to play it again. Checked into this and thought this might be fun to get but I see everything has been made so cartoony and blocky. Not to mention that walking animation is so strange. Guess I'll pass and play my old copy on gamecube if I get the itch to break it out.
Wow, I just watched the trailer again and damn does this game look absolutely awful. Look at how lifeless the cows and townsfolk look? It's like the coders said nooope to anything moving other than your character. It's such a shame that the Harvest Moon name is dead now. I know all about the licensing issues but still Natsume bring in a team that has a clue.
Thankfully Story of Seasons Friends of Mineral town was amazing and gave me what I wanted in a Back to Nature style remake.
I'll stick with Stardew Valley and Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town. And then afterwards I'll wait for Rune Factory 5. Really hoping they add same-sex relationships to Rune Factory 5, their omission is why I didn't bother with the remaster for Rune Factory 4 on Switch.
@Bolt90 nobody, harvest moon now is story of seasons and is doing great.
This is just a copy cat with the original name
@RhiannonRune because is not a real harvest moon either way
@kuronekonoyoru i know but they could at least make the cows cute
Looks like a college project
The GameStop link is broken btw
Count me in. I really do not know if I will preorder it though.
