Re: Soapbox: Can Mario Party Return To Its Former Glory?

Socar

@Danksparce Yes....but dreams can never come true majority of the times.

As for the series, if 10 is a great game...how does lack of modes come as a big problem? I mean that's that same thing mentioned for Ultra Smash. Good game but lack of content. I find it surprising that many short games out there get huge praises like Fusion but when it comes to games like this, they get criticisms that aren't criticisms but more like...complains.

Re: No Nintendo Titles In May NPD, But The 3DS Has Now Sold 60 Million Units Worldwide

Socar

@Yasume You do realize that majority of those games can be bought on multiplats right? I mean seriously, the fact that the system + memory cards are twice the price as an average PC, why the hell will anyone want to get the Vita if those games will eventually come to PC? Its already happening and is one of the main reasons why I didn't bother to try to get the Vita.

3DS on the other hand has games that while have multiplats, some really are better off playing on the 3DS itself like Resident Evil Revelations, Phenoix Wright trilogy and Professor Layton as examples.

People need to think properly when to get games these days. 95% of the games on Vita are ported on PC or are most likely to be ported. The only ones that don't get ported are the exclusives that Sony has which are so few and far between.

I rarely pirate games these days and I bought the original ones obviously. I try to buy the games that I pirated/emulated a long time ago to support Nintendo whenever possible and the list is almost finished.

The only way that I pirate more often is that if the games are Japan exclusive and that there's no chance of them to localize the games to the west.....like mother 3 for example....or the great FE games!

Re: Sonic Runners, SEGA's Mobile Release by the Sonic Team, is Getting Shut Down

Socar

@Luna_110 They can. The problem is that SEGA was known to make yearly releases. But now it looks like things may start to get better for Sonic.....i hope.

See....this is what worries me about FE. If that mobile game doesn't meet expectations, its gonna shut down. Thankfully, Miitomo is doing good so its better than nothing I suppose.

Re: Review: Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together (SNES)

Socar

I'm fine with this....but i just don't get one thing.

If you're gonna say that an english patch has been released and can be played at retron 5 or whatever. Then why is revealing the rom hack an illegal thing? You're literally doing the same thing by telling us that a third party system exists alongside a patch which is still a grey area.

Again, no issue here but just wondering why such a problem?

Re: Review: Kirby: Planet Robobot (3DS)

Getting this as soon as possible! I'm excited for Meta Knight!

Kinda odd that we get such an early review here.....I mean, the game isn't out until next month for both UK and US.

Re: Editorial: Fire Emblem Fates and Code Name S.T.E.A.M., Two Very Different Intelligent Systems Ventures

Socar

@CrazedCavalier Eh....I think I can safely disagree with you rather than the article. IS did a fantastic job doing both Awakening and Fates.

I can understand Awakening not having a great story to a degree but Fates....well Conquest anyway, it not only is the best TRPG i've played in a while but also has a very intriguing story.

Not saying your opinion is invalid but I'm saying that you have the wrong idea of how FE will turn out to be.

Re: Guide: What's New And Different In Fire Emblem Fates?

Socar

@Tuulenpoika As someone who has bought all three of them, it really doesn't feel like you need X to get experience of Y. Infact, the games are entitled to their own thing. If you don't like that, then don't buy the game, simple as that.

I do agree that the removal of the Japanese voices is odd but even so, that's something to expect from NoA along with the censoring.
