@khululy The collectables in that game were so pretty, I just wanted to put them in my pockets! Not the best, but I thought Dkc3 was under appreciated.

I'm trying the Romancing Sagas I was so curious about, but I'll have to check this one out too! I somehow never bothered after hearing a couple of times how bad Ogre Battle sequels were. I remember listening a lot it's soundtrack on a SPC music player though. Hitoshi sakimoto always had a particular style.

The visuals really look ahead of their gen, so pretty! Although, I think Seiken Densetsu 3 (Secret of Mana 2) gets 1st place for sound quality-- It really stood out from the usual soft/mushy snes sound.

Blegh.. they are ruining the game with stuff like that. Those gross anime ones were already too much.

Does anyone really just go and play stages with the highest ranking anyway? They usually suck.

I suggest anyone trying it to play until level 15 to play the big stages, then it's fun. After playing them a couple of times, it's over, the rest is crap redundancy.

@Kirk It has a more organic, stylish look, which I prefer. Nowaday it's mostly perfectly clean digital art. That poster is awesome.. makes me think of the movie Wicked City also.

That one I knew! It's very pretty and unique looking. I remember being intrigued that you can pass on getting powerups for a tougher challenge.

Another one added to my list! Wan't there a good, cute little rpg on snes named Robotech? I remember the battles being with robots you would customize and send fighting very much like pokemons.

Giving numbers to quality has always been stupid-- it's arbitrary, meaningless and unfair.

But no matter how 'in-depth' a review is, it's a single opinion, so something like metacritic is really nice.

But also.. if game developers are taking into consideration critics, it's idiotic. You cannot create something original and individual that will be universally accepted, the things that do are usually bland and simple.

About time. Nintendo is abandoning wiiu anyway.

I hope they can patch it by then to have gamepad separate screen in coop :T

Nintendo is always obsessed in ways to counteract piracy.. ever since the N64... Which was destroyed by Ps1 I might add.

Heh.. I remember years ago when they had to replace a song in that game because it was clearly Ryu's theme from ssf2.

What is cheap of them is how they want to reward us for buying digital from them with crummy stuff. Oh sure, it's a 'gift' and some other companies don't give crap, but the fact is that in digital they don't ship stuff, pay storage, give a cut to retailers etc.... no, they make us pay the same price but... with a crummy gift.

Discounts are nice enough for silver points though.

@japongt I must say that I'm intrigued by Federation Force still. I just wish they didn't call it 'metroid', you know... like, Luigi's Mansion doesn't include Mario Bros in the title.

Even if they were doing an awesome (not prime) Metroid, I, a big metroid fan, wouldn't buy that Nx thing. I've been disappointed enough with Nin.

Now the only thing they could do to to totally destroy my appreciation for Nin is that those pretty ZeldaU things we saw are really just Nx's. Wiiu being neglected over Nx and duller looking,
Everyone I know are getting bad vibs for that LoZ.. and I'm starting to believe it. Pretty much all N. wiiu games so far are underwhewing, rushed or bareboned..

What I find funny though i how this is the very FIRST time Nx is being talked about directly to the public.

So there we have it, Nx is a replacement for Wiiu.

I still think Corneria looks incredible dull. It's not a question of 'graphics', realism and light shows like everyone is debating about... It's simply, aesthetically, dull looking.

On another note, is it me or the voice actors are a bit passionless in their acting? lol

There's one thing I'm grateful of Nintendo, they still support older televisions. Yes, my livinroom tv is a crt one, it still works perfectly fine and I have no reason to switch it until it dies.

Every time there's a video of the genre, they add way too many light effects.. And why OoT all the time. If you guys want a nice fan game to play, search for Legend of Princess.

@WhiteTrashGuy NextLevel do have a pretty portfolio. Like I've been saying ever since it's announcement, they shouldn't have put 'Metroid Prime' in it's title. It was a marketing push, obviously, but I think it backfired. Metroid fans would've been more receptive to just 'Galactic Federation Force' I think.

@Kevlar44 It's incredible the hate that game had. Yes, they kinda destroyed my childhood hero, the writtings were super cheesy with japanese cheese and was a bit more obvious in it's linearity.. but the ambiance of that game, the gameplay, the esthetics, the elegance of Samus jumping around in 3d (finally!) was so perfectly nailed. I thought that only the fp-missile-thing and the overpowered dodging system needed revision, gameplay wise.

M:oM's gameplay recipe deserved another chance... just without the cheese.

As much open minded and still interested I am in that game.. boy, is that trailer NOT selling it!

I wonder what budget they had... M:oM surely had the biggest one. Just from it's original trailer you can tell. I guess FF is the first 'metroid' game to not have real actors in the commercial? lol

I still think anything over 720p and 60fps is way too overrated.

What I'd like more than a female link is an adult link. Not a 17yo teen, not a very 'mature' 25yo (japanese standard in their pop culture lol), but a real seasoned adult.

@pazuzu I think those grunts, gasp and growling npcs do in LoZ is awesome and shouldn't change. They make that game more romantic.. Unless I'm biased by nostalgia.

Voice acting in loz would be a very hazardous route. I can see that easily falling down the cliff. I can't hear Ganon speaking without cringing.
