@TruthisRare Sounds like your switch was destined to gather dust if you only bought it to play first party AAA titles (as they take time...shocker) and not those "10 billion indie games".

Nintendo is outputting enough first party content with third party support and great indie releases inbetween and it's working wonderfully for them in terms of hardware and software sales. So this is definetly a you problem.

I wish they would make the editing features in miiptopia available on the switch as standard, but i highly doubt they will. Imagine the mii characters you could have in smash.

This is petty but the audio clip from the footsteps will really irritate me. Looks great though.

I don't know why but this game makes me feel nostalgic even though i can't pinpoint a game like it that I've played.

The music sounds outstanding. And the gameplay looks so fun. Character design and overall art direction is right up my street.

It'll be interesting to see how gameplay changes. Right now it just seems like a gorgeous interactive storybook.

Like the gameplay mechanics shown here were simply walking and jumping, the pace very much constant with no control to the player. It does seem really relaxing but not necessarily fun.

Making elements interactive could have added challenge, like maybe the player could have had to spawn that mushroom/cause it to grow to reach the high branch somehow. Maybe the player could have used their magic to spawn the leaves in the right place. Maybe the leaves could have succumb under pressure after x seconds causing an idling player to fall through. That could have added platforming/puzzle challenge to the game.

I need to see more. But i think from this demo their goal is narrative and pacing for a calm relaxing experience. Which is great for those it interests. Just not me.

How long does it usually take between release dates for localisation?

The charactr art is lovely. Much better than the 3D models. But still looks good to me.

Combat looks a bit stiff but they definetly have the funds to make massive improvements to this if they wish.

The stardew valley influence is very strong here.

Scolipede is one ofmy favourites glad to see it up there.

I really love bug pokemon some of my favourites are Yanmega, Vikavolt, Golisopod, mega beedril, scizor.

My top is either Centiskorch or Scolipede. I had an all bug team in SW/SH but stopped playing after i found out Scolipede was locked behind DLC...kinda bummed me out since i was saving my last slot for them.

Complete nonsense but i can dream.

Can we have a non canon avengers style mode, where oracle of ages and ocarina of time link turn up with all the links, zeldas, interesting characters (adult sidon my boy) from the past and and future to change the course of history. That way my Queen Urbosa can live and Mipha can be there to watch Sidon and his beautiful lil smile grow bigger and bigger each day.

The game looks awful. It literally loads in npcs/enemies right in front of the player. Pausing gameplay to do so.

To me that is a poorly optimised broken game.

Maybe the day 1 patch fixes things?

Guys it might look little but just a couple of years ago it didn't exist. Yes it could be so much more, some day I'm sure it will be. But this right here looks like a small slice of magic. And to me that is amazing.

@tekknik of course, but I'm not going to have my computer everywhere i have my switch and i would like to download this to see what it is like. So if i was playing around with ideas during free time using this game I'd like to still own those ideas lol.

@brunojenso I am also curious about this. I'm currently studying games development and have a few ideas for games. Last thing i would want is to make a demo in this and then no longer be the owner of that concept.

@playstation_king it's bad because up until a month ago the regular switch was selling 50,000 to 70,000 units per week. Comfortably outselling the switch lite by 30,000 to 50,000 units per week.

Which obviously isn't the case anymore. The hike in switch lite sales isn't enough to make up for the overall loss of sales due to production problems.

@DenDen you could make an american eshop account and buy some credit online for a little less than it's face value.

The lack of any decent sound design makes this game seem stale, slow and uncompetitive.
The minigames look very simple and not very fun to play. Also some of them are minigames from previous rabbids games rehased with a different aesthetic.

A lot of people that follow this site collect figures. A lot people on this site myself included enjoy basking in the glorious design of figures like this. Can't afford it but i sure as hell like looking at them.

Also as others have pointed out spyro games have been on nintendo systems and a new spyro game will release on switch next month. So spyro has a presence in the nintendo community for some.

I'm simply pointing out their are better 'value' options.

There are many bundles regularly available from various stores that when broken down put the cost of the actual switch unit around £220 to £250. And with all the added functionality, two controllers, portable and tv play, wider library etc. It's just much better value.

Which is ironic when "lite" models are supposed to represent better value for money.

But in saying that i appreciate value is personal to the individual. Value can be found in the lack of joycons, your kids cant break what's not there, smaller more portable size, what looks to be a sturdier design, £200 access point even if the bundled switches get you more bang for your buck.

I think it's too expensive.

There is a mario maker 2 bundle of the regular switch that will cost £300 pounds. With this you get a 12 month online subscription, mario maker 2 and £30 eshop credit. That means you're paying around £200 for the actual switch unit. Which has 2 detachable controlllers (two fully functional controllers out of the box), more functionality with an IR camera and HD rumble and it doubles up as a home console and a portable.

The switch lite comes with no software and is portable only at £200. And it is limited in terms of the software it can play. Not all games will be playable.

I think it will still sell like hotcakee. But when you break it down it's not really great value.

I hope the pokemon that change form for gigantamaxing have evolutions outside of gigantamaxing. Otherwise I'll be disappointed. I really like drednaw and some of the others. I don't want their only chance at new forms to be locked behind a battle mechanic that probably won't return next gen.

If this is true it has to be a mini. You cannot market this as a pro. Consumers expect a lot more than better battery life and maybe higher frame rates for a couple of titles when you use that or a similiar moniker.

I think gameplay looks so much better than previous instalments. The graphics are quite charming too. I would import this in a heartbeat if i could understand Japanese.

The four pokemon that received no votes are part of an evolutionary chain that results in someone's favourite pokemon. So even removing just those four would result in their chains being removed and therefor that would be a terrible idea to some fans.
So gamefreak really can't win on this one. (As far as reasoning goes. Financially they will still win because people will still by these games by the millions).

I really like Corviknight, wooloo and the turtle thing. I think the turtle thing is my favourite. I just like him.

The sword legendary is alright not so much a fan of the shield one. I dunno. I thought they were uninspired.

A couple things i didnt like about the presentation was the lack of enthusiasm on display when revealing new pokemon and no information beyond what their dex status will probably read like. I think the art director could have been more upbeat and his script could have been more informative to build hype, like mention their typings and their battle styles.

Also the box art looks really bad. I'm assuming it's a mock up but even still I personally think it looks very amateurish. (I am very pedantic about smaller details I know).

Anyways to end on a positive note I'm super excited. Especially to explore the wild area. I just love seeing pokemon in the over world.

But i fail to understand how you can feel ripped off by a service you got for free that is giving you access to free software.

I repurchased splatoon 2 today after loosing it a few months back.

Unfortunately i checked my play time and saw it had been reset to zero.

In doing so i also noticed my playtime for the nes app was just one hour. I've been a member since the start.

The online service right now is very niche. It lacks mass appeal as there is no diversity.

The HP maximum stayed the same the whole way through. I wonder if there's a levelling system 🤔 how else would they curve difficulty inna game with a battle system like this.

@TempOr As stated above the content wasn't exclusive for amiibo owners. You acquired the skins by playing levels that used those skins. Amiibo owners just got them instantly.

The movie was so good. There are small things you could criticise like Lucy's introduction and some of mewtwo's lines were badly written imo.

But overall it's a great production and great film.

Also reviews are opinion pieces. Once a review is non-biased and written coherently i don't see a problem with who reviewed it or where it was reviewed.

Also this is a nintendo related news site. Nintendo stands to profit from this film. It may also encourage future film adaptions.

I literally check this sit 3/4 times a day and I've never heard of it. I somehow must have overlooked it. The eshop visibility sucks. Searching for good titles also sucks as you cannot search for something you have never heard of and not all good games will make the charts.

@Patendo I never heard of Blossom Tales nor have i seen it on the eshop while searching for games.

It has been out for over a year and it reviewed well. Eshop visibility sucks sometimes.
