The gloom hands are terrifying. Even now i know i can easily defeat them with spin attacks i still get creeped out by them. My first encounter was in a cave. I basically got stuck on a stone pedestal in the centre of a large room with them circling me.

The only other enemy i found creepy were the crawling gibdos. Those things are too quick and so gross.

@LinkdAether you wouldnt even need to manually change text. Just read in the text file, replace the orginal pronouns and save the new pronouns in their place then save it as a version of that text file. It would be a couple lines of code. Alternatively you could use the same dialogue and have the code place in the pronouns based on the players chosen pronouns. Its really not complex or time consuming at all.

@NinjaNicky they wouldn't have to add every other option but as i explained to you already it would take very little time if they did.

They literally would just need to read a list of pronouns into a drop down menu. The only thing they would have to do is make a list and read it in. They already have a file reader and the ui options they need. They could literally copy paste a list of pronouns from the internet.

Anyways i think it should be considered since the developer is updating the gamem if its implemented cool. If not i think its a shame.

Anyways concerned ape is going out of their way to make modding more accessible so anything like this can be added if people want it. So it should be a bit of a non issue for pc players. An unfortunate f for console players who wont have it in the base game.

I'm all for inclusive options because it has no effect on my experience. Whether it gets added or not is up to the developer but to argue that it's pointless and time consuming is just wrong.

@NinjaNicky it would take less than a day to implement if like you said it had no unique gameplay mechanics.

Polymorphism and composition allows the reuse of components. The ui already has all the components needed. All that needs to be done is a list of pronouns (if you wanted more than they/them), a drop down on the menu and an optional icon. If the dialogue needs to be changed the file reader could do it automatically.

So it literally wouldnt stop other big features being implemented. Unless you can think of a much needed gameplay mechanic concerned ape could design test and develope in a single day.

@NinjaNicky yeah i thought about that after commenting true you can date either regardless. Still the polyamoury perspective would have gameplay mechanics. The non binary option would be optional and take less than a day to implement if it is purely aesthetic. So again i wouldnt have a problem with it

Tomb raider isnt a simulation game that immerses a player in a world through customisation and tailored gameplay mechanics. So no you shouldn't.

When a life sim/ farm sim has a massive fan and install base and the ability financially to implement options that would improve a group of peoples enjoyment of their game then yes they absolutely should consider options that resonate with those fans on a personal level. Especially when it poses zero hinderance to anyone else's enjoyment of the game.

@NinjaNicky it wouldn't have to be "pointless" from a gameplay perspective, the non binary character would be able to date either gender pool of dateable characters, and regarding polyamory they could date more than one character.

So it would be neither pointless from a gameplay perspective or a person's personal perspective.

I would have no problem with it. I don't see why someone would have a problem with an optional mechanic that won't effect their playthrough if they don't enable it. But yep people can have their opinions.

Oracle of ages final dungeon boss battle i think.

The boss had three phases, one you had to shoot his back with the seed shooter i think. Cant remember the other. But when his arms turned to the ball and chains i could not defeat him.

As a kid i thought it made sense to pick them up but it just wouldnt work. I went through the whole game so many times looking for an item i might have missed.

Never beat him. As an adult i researched it out of curiousity apparently there was an upgrade to the bracelet thing that let you lift heavier items.

I can't wait for Oracle of ages on NSO so i can finally go back and beat that SOB. Beat the only game that ever beat me lmao.

Imagine if health and safety wasn't a thing and they could go all out on a splatoon attraction.

They could use the AR headsets to make a real life turf war game. You could see your ink. They could attach you to a cable, if you get splatted youre raised into the air and brought back to the spawn point. Would be so cool.

If youre in enemy ink they could raise the tension on the cable to make it harder for you to move.

They could make the room pretty dark so in squid form people cant see you.

I mean they could do it without the cable and make you run back to the spawn point every time youre splatted to restart.

Will never happen but they definetly have the tech to make a cool AR splatoon attraction.

Some of these seem like workarounds rather than fixes, as if they don't know what part of their code caused the bug. Same result i guess but almost seems like they're rushing the patches like they rushed the game.

Catching bees, not enough bees enter the hive so just wait enough time and you pass the challenge anyways, instead of making sure enough bees spawn so you can complete it properly.

Looting the clue through a fence, instead of not allowing that and fixing the bounds they just make the clue reappear when you need it/ get to that point.

Just an observation i guess.

Can't wait for this.

I understand people being on the fence about it.

But for me personally i can't wait for the little bits of lore I'll learn about the splatoon universe during the single player campaign.

New maps will be enough to make online seem fresh. I read that two modes will be active online at once? If true i can avoid clam blitz like the plague and not have to wait two hours to play. New salmon run bosses and maps yesssss. Also really digging the removal of launch pads/safe zones, squid parties are going to be a lot less of an annoyance in this game.

Really wish they added ai though for offline training, even in the training area make the squid balloons pursue or something. I really found the training area useless.

I love this game but there are so many annoying glitches i hope they patch out.

My cultists wont chop wood in the lumberyard after i leave my village on an expedition or other area until i reset the game.

My hunger meter never fills up more than half way even if i cook the required food until i reset.

My villagers disappear randomly lol.

I randomly found a way to get out of bounds in the dice game guys house.

Also i pretty much unlocked everything after 20 hours. Wish devotion was harder to get.

@Yosher @RubyCarbuncle @ozwally if you go to the gear settings option in the demo, then press + for game guide, there's a button called "Cup battles".

It says 1 to 4 players battle there way through a tournament against cpu teams. Its double elimination. Cpu teams have unique characteristics each match. It explains the upper and lower brackets of the tournament structure etc.

Check it out. That will be the single player content. The button to access it shows two cups so im guessing there will be multiple to work through.

I didn't even know ark was on switch. After just now watching the digital foundry video regarding it's performance i can't believe they released the game in that state. It's disgusting. And i feel bad for anyone who purchased it.

Hopefully they deliver with this major update. If they do props to them. Wouldn't be a bad PR move to give the people who already purchased the game the dlc for free too.

Intertresting contrast regarding the comments between this article and the article about Nintendo creating a safe working environment for people of all backgrounds, ethnicity, orientation etc.

That was seen as virtue signalling but no such negativity here (the negativity here is they'renot doing enough). Interesting how people of certain opinions pick and choose their arguments (methods of discrimination).

Btw i support both of the topics covered in these articles.

@Smug43 I missed it too. I can't remember if it was because motion plus was a requirement and i couldnt afford to get the add on / a new wii mote as a kid.

So despite all the negativity i am soooo excited to play the only home console zelda i have missed. Without the annoyances of the wii version. Couldn't ask for a better first experience in skyloft.

Also this is the first game i have preordered in years. That's how hyped i am.

Well done to all involved. Unfortunately i remember very little of the Gaeilge i studied in school xD but definetly appreciate the effort put into this. Things like this help preserve culture. Normalish it's use where possible so it doesn't just exist inside a class room and designated areas but in mainstream media too.
