@Kirby-in-Kirkby this is unlike other turn based battlers because you have to watch the battle and time button presses to avoid damage and increase the power of your attacks. So it plays as much like a rhythm game as turn based in that respect.
It's much more engaging than just watching stuff happen.

@Equinox Developers understand making money. Your "core gamer" demographic is great for selling £60 shooters too, but the real money's in things like Pokemon go.

This isn't number of copies sold it's money made. So given that games on switch tend to be priced higher than on other platforms is be interesting to see how many units generated that money.
My feeling is that Devs are flocking to switch because the profit per sale is massive compared to the other platforms.

Never understood while this awesome concept, an on rails shooter where you can go forwards and backwards at will, never caught on. On rails shooters were a thing for a while on Wii but none that allowed you to control your speed forward.
Couldn't follow the story in Killer 7 mind, but it's so stylish that it kind of doesn't matter.....

It's a performance review. Mistakes about how many stages are included aren't really relevant. They do show that df is not the best at the details of Nintendo gaming but that doesn't mean they don't understand frame rates and textures.

Persona isn't the game for you. Dating sim j-drama is what differentiates Persona from pretty much every other RPG out there. Why not play one of them instead of complaining that Persona isn't the same as them?

Put over a hundred hours into the first one on XBox. Never managed to get any of the girls into the tiniest of the bikinis though.
To all the people complaining this is just soft core porn, if it's anything like the first then there's a lot more to it than that.

They're talking about infrastructure. 5G is just the bit between the tower and the phone. The infrastructure is also the bit between the tower and the game server. 5G won't touch that.

If you used to play road rash on the mega drive then crappy frame rates are just adding to the authenticity.

Social media makes good sense if you're a business, even more so if you're in entertainment. I'm a wrestling fan and my local promotion teases upcoming bouts and feuds on Twitter. It's a great way to generate a bit of excitement for an upcoming show.

@BladedKnight Because, as we all know, the fun in games gets used up over time. A fun game seven years ago will be boring and dull now because the code will have become tarnished and dusty.

Plague Road's been doing this a lot. Goes on sale at 90% discount, appears in the "most downloaded" chart, goes back to full price. I don't have a problem with this, if you're buying games purely based on them being in the chart then you deserve the games you buy.

Sounds like the joy cons are using a different api to the classic controller meaning support doesn't come for nothing. Even if it's the same API the ui still needs extending to add in a configuration screen. As soon as it starts to cost to support the pro controller questions will be asked about exactly how many sales this feature would add compared to how much it would cost.
How many sales do you think it would add? For a game like this i can't see it having a significant enough impact to be worth the effort.

If you give something nice away there's always some jdibdubdubftub ready to try and monetise it. Most of them won't credit you if they can avoid it. Not impressed with Dark Horse on this, a simple citation is all that was required.

@Zuljaras It's clearly not non-sense. It's a deeply analysed wide ranging study that is very careful to avoid saying "Video games make you violent" whilst noting "Violent videogames do have a measurable effect on some people".
It's science, not an opinion. You could find evidence to counter it but just calling it non-sense is, in itself, non-sensical.

When you strap a phone to your face to do vr it divides the screen in two and renders separate images for your right and left eye. Why would you think strapping the switch to your face would make it do that? It won't.
VR involves stereoscopic 3d. Switch's strap on headset isn't VR.

99.5% of people are not on your side on this. Most players of this gamep are now genuinely "normal folk", the vast majority of them don't know what jiggle physics are nevermind care about them. More to the point a significant female proportion of the player base may well find this sexism off putting. (If there were jiggling cod pieces then this wouldn't be sexist but there aren't.) Your assertion that every one agrees with you is the product of what they call a social media bubble.
Epic have a very successful game on their hands that has achieved mainstream success, they need to go beyond the core "horny teenager" demographic.

Google, Amazon and ms are three of the big cloud service providers. Nintendo would be foolish to try and put their own cloud servers in place for this, they're a games company. Much more sensible to use a cloud provided by a market leading tech company like Google, from a global perspective anyway....

@JasmineDragon is cos it's a port of a title that doesn't have touch screen support. You need to write code to at least hook up the new drivers for this even if you can then have all your mouse code handle your touch screen interactions ( which you can't because a mouse always has a pointer and a touch screen doesn't. For example if Hovering the mouse pointer over things shows important notifications then you have to find a new way of showing that information for touch screen.) So just being on a device with touch support isn't enough to give you your touch screen sprite drawing.
